Breakfast could have been better. They had awful orange juice ran out of croissants and beans.

Restaurant a little tired in places.

Good breakfast. Good leisure facilities. Everything we needed was provided in the bedroom. The lovely 🍾 bottle in our room as a gift was a real treat.

On arrival - it’s strange to see an office type room where there used to be a small lounge. At least use blackout windows so guests arriving don’t see a room full of computers! Rather strange. Better lighting needed in bedroom and bathroom. Some bulbs weren’t working - maintenance should repair this as also with the broken chain for bath plug. A mirror or mirrors needed in bedroom.

Breakfast was really good. Lots to choose from. Restaurant was very comfortable. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Heating was easy to control. In Room dinner service was very efficient. We were really pleased that we were able to order In Room. Food was very good and the person who delivered our meal was professional and polite. We used the pool facilities which was lovely and the sauna was great. Access to the canal tow path was easy and we enjoyed a long walk up to Chirk Castle without having to get into the car.

When we arrived it was very cold and the car park and paths were very icy, including near to the entrances to the spa building and the hotel. We think more attention should have been paid to ensuring paths were safe to walk on. A lot of people were struggling to cross these areas and scared of slipping over. Not having been before, we unloaded our bags near the spa building and walked across the icy paths only to find we were at the wrong building. Signage was not clear. Some of the aspects in the bathroom were a bit shabby. Bottom of door was rotting due to water damage. Sealing around base of sink was very unsightly. Tiles on base of shower looked a bit grubby. Room 129.

I like the area where it is Situated. I love the kindness of the Staffs. I like the facilities, jacuzzi, Sauna, pool and indeed the breakfast restaurant. Very beautiful and Christmas Spirit special decorations. Polite and helpful staffs. Good hosts. Overall I rate all of them 8/10.

I was a bit confused what was discussed before I proceed with my payments of booking the place, regarding the use of the facilities as different staffs told me different timing the facilities closed, 8pm, 9pm and 10pm. But I confirmed with, I believe a Senior confident conseige staff make sure what time the facilities closed. On a second, note I asked to change an iron but I was given another broken iron. That's it. Thanks

Nice room, very well decorated. The separate sitting area excellent as we entertained friends there. Parking with my 'blue badge' was good.

Room; Cariad Suite. Was extremely irritating. Everything operated only through 'Alexa'. Until my wife found an instruction sheet we had no idea that we had to use Alexa! And it was unreliable and awkward to use. The shower was badly thought out. No shelf to put soap/shampoo on so we had to bend down to use the floor - ridiculous, especially as I am slightly disabled. Dinner was OK, but the menu was not inspiring. Breakfast was OK but basic and it was irritating again to have to queue up at the coffee machines instead of getting it served.

Comfortable, Clean with underfloor heating. The lighting options were useful and worked well. We had a free room upgrade for a special occasion, nice views from the room. The food in the restaurant was very good and we were served quickly, despite being quite busy and having a wedding on also. The swimming pool and facilities are good and having access to these both on arrival and departure day was fantastic. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Beds are zips link with a hard ridge in between the king. The en-suite is very small. The walls are thin! We could hear conversations in other rooms with multiple voices and more intimate activities!

We liked everything about the property, it was in a lovely position, the gardens were lovely and the courtyard where reception is was nice with the fountain. All the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the breakfast was the best we’ve had. Loved our first floor room with a balcony and a view of the canal, great to watch the canal boats. It was very peaceful.

If I have to say something it would be that the wardrobes could do with being painted as there were lots of scuffs on them. Apart from that it was very clean and presentable.

Loved the location, the layout, the surroundings, the offer of facilities, reception staff were so polite and helpful. Everything was lovely and clean!

Some of the property was a little worn and it’s the small things that let it down a bit I.e., the decoration, room touch ups needed, our toilet roll holder was broken and wouldn’t take much to fix it, no mirror in room (apart from bathroom), no herbal tea. We also paid £15 to use the fancier spa facilities but then realised that anyone using the pool was just swanning between the two parts of the leisure/spa facilities without anyone checking or keeping an eye on that which felt a bit disappointing that there was no clear differentiation.

Room and bathroom was nice and clean. Dime lights and heart radio on when we walk in to the room was actually really welcoming. Staff very helpful and incredibly smiling. What a nice people 😊 Linen was clean. Good quality tea and biscuits, Restaurant clean and pleasant. Staff nice and hard working. Food very nice, served hot and in time. Spa facilities are amazing. I love this place and would recommend to anyone who need a paper and relaxing. All spa facilities very clan and well maintained. Friendly staff. Caffè Ash has absolutely delicious coffee and hot chocolate.

There are only little things that if changed would make whole experience exceptional. Shower gel and soap pumps not working properly. Shampoo would be nice 2 in1 with conditioner. Coffee is basic instant and would be better if sachets with ground coffee. Jacuzzi was out of order 💔

The room was lovely and the bathroom was exquisite. The restaurant was great as were the spa facilities. It was an overall great all-rounder and I would stay here again. The TV was situated a bit high from the bed so it caused neck ache while watching but it was great that you could access streaming apps while there.

The sound proofing seemed very odd. You could hear everything when walking along the corridor to the rooms. My sister was staying in the room opposite mine (we didn't know this as we checked in at different times) and she called me to say she heard me laughing and figured out we were opposite each other. It was a bit unnerving. The menus also seemed out of date in every location. The website dining menu does not match what is on site, I was told in Cafe Ash that the menu didn't match their cold drink selection and in the bar I asked for a drink from their menu and they said they don't stock any of that brand. This should be looked at.
