Room was lovely and it was great to have added features, such as moisturiser in the bathrooms, cotton wool buds. Cleaning service every day and they did a great job. I didn't have breakfast, but I did have dinner there, which was nice.

Room was cold when I first got there, but not the end of the world.

We have stayed here a few times over the last 11 years and always have a pleasant stay, we always book 2 rooms as the ladies are twins and we go everywhere in a group of 4, the food is good , beer is good and both are reasonably priced,all of the staff are fantastic and very welcoming ...extra praise to Gracieann who has a fantastic personality and looked after us at breakfast both mornings, nothing was too much trouble for her (thank you for the egg whites) :) we travel around a lot and it's not the best hotel we've stayed in but it is the hotel we have stayed in most as we find it is good value for money and for us it is very well located for visiting Leeds/York outlet(45 mins) and Harrogate(50 mins)lots of shopping was done this weekend haha, and it certainly won't be long until we come back, thank you all for another fabulous weekend love from ,Carol , Neil , Jan &Joe xxx

Some of the rooms are outdated however as returning guests we know what we are getting and as going through a takeover I'm pretty sure the new owners will be looking at modernising parts of the hotel , we think the spa use should be included with the price of the stay as we think £60 per couple per day is a bit expensive especially considering what is actually in there,

The room was nice. It was clean and spacious. The bed was comfy. The spa was nice but the boiler was broken so the water in the pool was freezing. That can't be helped. We had a meal in the restaurant at night and the food was lovely. Breakfast was very nice too

We had a bit of a wait for our food in the restaurant. There was only a couple of other people in there so it seemed a bit long however there were people coming in later (as the tables were set for them) so that may have been the reason. On the first morning we had to ask for some butter for the toast as it wasn't out and then it wasn't out again the next day, we also had to ask for sauce as that wasn't out on day 2. Little things really but down to attention to detail.

The rooms and the corridoors had an "old-timey" look and feel to them. Made it feel more luxurious, in my opinion. The food from the restaurant on an evening was delicious and presented fabulously. Me and my partner had the same main dish but looked and felt completely different. Lastly, the swimming pool, spa, and sauna was really calming and made you feel really relaxed.

For some odd reason, the fire alarm decided to go off once on a morning and once on an evening on the last 2 nights of our stay. I feel sorry for the Weddings that were taking place then! Additionally, the breakfast was nice, but there didn't seem to be as many options as other hotels. The orange juice appeared to be watered down and didn't taste fresh.

Me and My partner went for the night for my birthday and I couldn't have been happier with the stay. We were upgraded to an executive suite which was beautiful and the bed very comfy, enjoyed use of the swimming pool and the restaurant was lovely too. Didn't use the spa due to been pregnant so very limited on what I can do but enjoyed every minute anyway. The staff were lovely and friendly, the only thing i would say is the man on check out in the morning didnt seem very interested just took the keys and carried on but thats a minor. Would definitely recommended and will certainly return.

Worth mentioning that i was mid week and i don't think there were many guests at this time - great for me. Meals were lovely, dinner was reasonable, tasty and good portions. Breakfast was great. Staff were friendly and service quick. Every member of staff were so friendly. Room was large, clean and very comfortable with no noise at night. The spa is the crowning glory. For £30 I upgraded to the spa experience and it was totally worth it, I went at 3pm and almost felt like I had the place to myself, although I would imagine it's usually much busier. Plenty of free parking. For commuters, if you can get a room here, do it and I think it would also be lovely for a couples get away. As a single traveler who just needed a getaway and recharge, this hotel stay left me feeling great.

I got lost a few times in the hotel as it can be a bit of a maze, but I have no proper negative about this hotel at all.

I liked the facilities, the use of the pool and sauna. The facilities were clean and very well looked after. The staff at the hotel go above and beyond. The weather was very hot and the staff all searched the hotel for a fan for my room. They also give me a big jug of ice water. The manager also give me plenty of more milks for my room for my cups of tea, and also give my partner some disposable razors as he forgot them. The service in the restaurant is second to none. The food is amazing, the atmosphere was laid back and very lovely. Thankyou for an amazing time.

The heat, but that could not be helped.

The room was very 'old worldy' and little dated but large and very comfortable. I had a family room high up in the rafters of the hotel but apart from the slightly narrow stairs iot was warm, comfortable and clean. The staff were AMAZING!! So friendly, helpful and patient. They were a credit to the hotel and made our stay very enjoyable. The lady at reception (I wish I had taken her name) was so lovely and friendly (I told her my name was George Clooney) and we had a good laugh while she was checking me in.

The shower was fine but had to mix the clod and hot taps to the right temp before jumping in - it was okay once on :-)

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the spa using the services provided and booking the mud therapy and facials for both my partner and I. The staff was extremely welcoming and attentive to our needs and what we were looking for. They made suggestions and this was much appreciated. Our bedroom was great and private which was appreciated. The space we had at this spot far surpassed the space we had in other areas of England that we visited.

The decor was a bit dated but other than that, I would not change anything.

The staff were all really welcoming and happy to help. We would like to give a special Thankyou to Isabelle who waited on us in the restaurant and Josh who served us at the bar. I didn’t catch the name of the Manager but he was also very welcoming and friendly. We were very happy with our little night out.

When I booked I had booked for an inner court yard view room on the ground floor and I didn’t have that. The view was a brick wall and on the first floor . I did think the room was a little out dated but it was all clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay so I was satisfied with our value for money.
