I really loved the spa bath and the room was very clean. Bed was comfortable but very soft. Tv was good size Food was lovely Staff were lovely Plenty of spaces left to park

Bed too soft preference only Noisy road if window open and because of old windows in keeping with hotel they didn’t stay open very well so it was a choice of hot and stuffy or wedge window open and noisy . Also bar closed at 9.30 ish you could still get a drink afterwards but to drink in room only. It was Saturday night and your on holiday so a later drink in bar would have been nice. Coffee was luke warm on breakfast but again personal preference as I like my coffee hot.

Stayed in the lovely one bedroom apartment. It was Perfect, lovely modern kitchen area, hob, oven, fridge l, freezer, washer, dishwasher, wow! everything you would ever need was available in this kitchen. Plenty of pots, pans, glasses etc. Large TV in the lounge & Comfortable seating to relax in. Large upstairs bedroom. Bed was really comfortable and very clean. Lots of space upstairs, cute rocking chair and a bed settee. Lovely view from upstairs windows. Bathroom, small room with shower, all new, super clean and modern. Various shower gels, shampoo n conditioners. Very impressed with this accommodation. Had our own front door, felt very safe. Would highly recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟Breakfast was in with the price and was delicious, lots to choose from and plenty on your plate. Lovely service, thankyou 👍

Being very picky, A little cold on an evening sometimes. Booked a meal in advance and a bit of an issue with table booking. Also a long wait to order and eventually eat! Once it arrived the meal was delicious to be honest.

Staff were really helpful and the evening meals and breakfast were great.Beer was excellent and the wine was to my wife's taste.Great location with amazing scenery in the area.Shame the weather didn't oblige .Betws y Coed is a lively town with great shops and Swallow Falls was well worth the £2 entry fee.

We had a room at the front, which was quite noisy with traffic..as it's an old property and had sash windows all round .As we were only a couple it didnt really bother us but the door between the room and bathroom didnt have a receiver in the frame to keep it shut..The only other issue we found was next to the lounge area were the toilets and there was a really strong smell coming from that area.

The hotel is a big warm hug from as soon as you enter. A beautiful old building, maintained to a high standard, still keeping its oldy worldly charm. The staff especially Scott are warm welcoming and friendly. The bar area is great, full of history and little snugs to hamper down in after a good walk. The Menu for lunch and evening are exceptional. The food was amazing and there were lots of choices! The room was beautiful, tartan and antique furniture with a modern whirlpool bath, loved it! The bed was like sleeping on a cloud 🤗The hotel is very clean. The breakfast was 😋 yummy, alot of choice and all good produce. The service staff are very professional and caring.

We had a brilliant time, all of the staff were so lovely, Scott in particular worked so hard and was great with us. The food was excellent, by far the best we had during the stay. We were in the separate apartment and it had a great layout, very cosy and enjoyed the private entrance. We appreciated the car parking on site, and only being a short walk from the shops etc. If we're back in the area, we would definitely like to stay again.

Being picky, we struggled with WiFi reception in the room, and it would be great to have smart tv's to log into netflix etc.

Location was perfect for our planned activities. The hotel is really quirky and just has a nice feel about it. The food was excellent both at breakfast and in the evening. The staff are welcoming and friendly.

The car park is small, only space for about 6 cars but you can park on the road outside. The room we picked only had a bath with a shower spray rather than a proper shower so next time would probably pick a different room but this was an oversight on my part and is shown in the pictures so no fault of the hotel - the bathroom was beautiful with a roll top bath etc

Had a lovely stay, the staff were very accommodating and pleasant and the breakfast evening meal was fantastic. The room and toilet were nice and clean and the roll top bath was awesome after a long walk. The location was breathtaking within a 5 min walk into Betws-y-coed. Would definitely stop here again but not in room 1

The only faults that we felt for us was the separate bathroom from the room , which was only a few paces from room 1. We were aware before booking that the room was separate from the bathroom, it was a bit unnerving for the wife as guests tried to enter the bathroom whilst she was in the bath despite there being a sign on the door. Room 1 is very small.

Absolutely fantastic food and vast menu, normally with such a large menu you lose quality but not at Ty Gwyn, the food was exceptional for all four of us on both evenings and breakfasts. The hotel itself is superb, like going back in time, I hope they always keep this decor and furniture as this is what gives Ty Gwyn its charm. We had rooms 3 and 6B and they were beautiful and comfortable, both with jacuzzi bath tubs. The lady on reception was very welcoming and really nice to talk to - apologies but we didn’t catch her name. There was also Hilary serving at breakfast and she was absolutely amazing and such good fun.

There was a slight smell coming from the downstairs men’s bathroom, possible that they are on a septic tank, but nothing that would affect your stay at all.

We had a great stay, everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. We came to climb snowdon and martin was really great with giving us bus times and advice. The food was delicious and it was the perfect place to have a cosy drink after a long day of walking.

Our room and the facilities were great, the only thing I would change would be the mattress as it was quite uncomfortable with springs that dug in if you lay on your side. Other than that, no notes!

We had a really lovely stay at Ty Gwyn Hotel. The staff were very friendly and the bar and restaurant is really cosy and old fashioned, reflecting its history as an old coaching inn. The food is absolutely stunning - seems to be the best restaurant in Betws-y-Coed, and you will need to book dinners in advance if you are staying as it is very popular with locals and other visitors! Our room was very comfy and modern and seem to be recently refurbished. The hotel is on a road (it is an old coaching inn!), but there is little or no traffic overnight so it did not bother us. It's about a ten minute walk into Betws-y-Coed, which has lots of shops, cafes and restaurants, and a short drive from lots of attractions around Betws-y-Coed including Zip World which was great. It was good value for money too!
