Customer service by all staff far surpassed what you can expect to receive in other places. Loved the heated floor in the bathroom, bed was really really comfortable, the biscuits and drinks in the room again were a high quality. Breakfast was fantastic. Enjoyed every part of our stay and it's a shame we weren't there for longer. We also appreciated the fact that being at a wedding from 12 noon to 12 midnight meant we missed our check in time, but the room was ready early and we were given the key and shown how to access a good 4 hours before the check in time which really helped us out.

Bathroom might benefit from Sanitary disposal bags, but has everything else.

Lovely peaceful location with a beautiful outlook. I have to admit to being cautious as the weather was 25 degrees and there is no air conditioning, however the room we had was beautifully appointed south facing with high ceilings, Velux ceiling windows and the room had been prepared for us with open windows so was pleasantly and unexpectedly cool enough in the extreme heat. We ate our evening meal in the restaurant which was delicious as was the breakfast the next morning. Overall a delightful stay.

Lovely little pub. The room was spacious and clean. Fab little bathroom. The refreshments provided were fantastic, way over what we were expecting. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Really friendly staff.

The only niggle we had was that the room was very warm despite the bad weather. We did struggle a bit during the night. Thankfully there was a fan in the room but it was still very hot. Couldn’t get the Alexa to work but got the radio on the tv so not the end of the world.

Located in a lovely, peaceful little village, but with very easy access to main routes, the Duke of Wellington was a great find. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Our room was very spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, and we had everything we needed for a very relaxing stay. We ate in the bar each evening of our stay and the food on both occasions was very good, as was our breakfast in the morning. Will definitely return!

The location was great and the staff were very friendly. We enjoyed a delicious supper in the restaurant. The property had everything we needed and spectacular views. It was sunny and we enjoyed the garden.

Would have liked a larger cafetiere and a blind for the landing velux. But these are minuscule points!

The location was typical quiet country living with excellent views, the whole of the hotel was very clean. The breakfast was good quality with ample range of choices, and the service provided from the staff was superb.

The first room we were offered was small with a very high window. We were given a different room when we ask for a different option. There was no fruit at breakfast

Thr room was beautiful, clean and comfortable and both dinner and breakfast were first class.

Extra provision for dogs eg. water bowl, a couple of biscuits, blanket, would be a nice touch.

Very well furnished room and fabulous bathroom. Had both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and the food and service was exceptional. Highly recommended.
