The property was easy to find and convenient as a half way stop on our journey to the West Country. There was a large car park. Booking in was easy and the manager was extremely helpful. We dined in the restaurant in the evening and the meal was excellent. The room and en-suite was clean and comfortable. The shower needs an upgrade but the price for the room compensated for this.

The breakfast was disappointing considering the excellent quality of the evening meal. We stayed on our way down and on our return. The first time the English Breakfast was presented with burnt toast, bacon and sausages. The second time was not much better. On the plus side we had espresso coffees with our breakfast which is not usually offered in hotels.

Smartly furnished accomodation, with seperate seating and sleeping areas, in a location that was convenient whilst not noisy. Enjoyed the breakfast options. The proximity of the arboreatum was a plus for us.

The bline intended for the main window of the seating area had been swapped with that designed for a different (smaller) window, as it did not work. That gave a blind on the main window that was too short to ensure full privacy in the sitting area. It wasn't obvious how to turn the heating on, as the larger units with obvious switches did not seem to work. There was a small unit which we finally spotted was touch operated. It was enough for our stay, but I am not sure it would have been if the weather was colder.

One of the most comfortable beds we have had in our travels. The weekday price was quite good. The food in the restaurant was good, and the service as well. We liked the location between Bath and Tetbury, and it was a perfect place to stop during our journey through the Cotswolds. There was a kettle for tea and coffee, and bottles of water were also supplied. It was surprisingly quiet for being above a restaurant. We stayed on a Thursday night.

The cable TV in our room didn't work, but we never reported it, and I am sure they would have responded if we had. We just ended up watching a bit of news on our phones instead.

The place itself was stunning, with a charming rustic vibe. The location was excellent. The staff definitely deserves praise, especially Firad. He made us feel very welcome and well cared for. When my friend and I couldn’t finish the soup, he graciously offered us complimentary desserts. He was warm, friendly, and wonderfully attentive—Firad truly deserves a raise!

The food definitely needs improvement. For dinner, we had soup that was overly salty. The toast was burnt black at breakfast, and the eggs were hard-boiled instead of poached.

What a little gem! It was a little bit further out than I expected (my fault) however there was some beautiful walking routes near by. The food at the location was outstanding, we had dinner and paid for breakfast the following morning- both exceeded expectations by far! Unfortunately the waiting staff were a little bit inattentive. The table was booked for a birthday and the table wasn’t laid and it took nearly 30 minutes to get a drink. That aside we got drinks on the house as a “kindness” gesture for the birthday. The staff were all very friendly and the room also exceeded expectations. However, the bathrooms could do with a little renovation. Overall fantastic stay and I’d definitely return in the future.

Waiting staff in the restaurant Update, tired bathrooms

The twin room was perfect for our requirements with loads of extra space and a little sitting room. Everything was clean, if a little worn, and it was lovely and warm and cosy. Food was delicious and the pub area was lovely and cozy. Great coffee! Issues were dealt with politely and professionally. We would definitely return.

We had a couple of incidents and the room wasn’t serviced during the course of our stay; but most staff were friendly and really helpful.

Lovely inn with excellent food and superb staff. Room very comfortable, but see comments below.

Wine list way way over priced. Following are not criticisms but observations, entrance hall stair carpet badly worn on treads, needs replacing. Room decor ( Faraday) far too dark for my taste. A lighter colour would make the room appear much bigger. Not sure about nightmare horse wallpaper above the bed. Skirting boards need some TLC, especially on the shower tray. Typical Mira shower temperamental , both on flow and temperature. Window sill on room window, rotten, needs replacing. Sort these out and a very good Inn will be superb.

Old world country pub, great service, drinks, garden, bar and friendly staff

The food let the place down Dinner was just ok, fish and chips with more batter than fish! Breakfast was terrible, how can you mess up a full English ! Hash brown and baked beans good, sausage tasted like bread and was cold, black pudding cold and soft, mushroom slimy and soft, tomato cold, 1 tiny rash of bacon and toast was ok. Just a great little country pub but the food let it down.

The Kings Arms was very busy when we arrived, but the staff were welcoming and showed us to our room, the room was facing the road which is busy at times but it was quiet at night so it didn't affect our sleep. We decided to eat in, so we went down quite early which was a good move as it quickly got busy, always a good sign that the food is good, I had a lovely aubergine and chick pea curry which was very tasty.

Absolutely brilliant pub/hotel we only had an overnight stay just a few miles from Tetbury where we were visiting. First impressions were that it was a lovely old pub on the main road, lots of on site parking & large beer garden. Lucy who checked us in & was also a massive help with our evening meal was outstanding & Absolutely lovely & a great manager. The room was spacious with a large 4 post bed which wax comfortable, ensuite & tea making in room, the room was clean as expected. Our evening meal & breakfast was lovely & Crystal the owner was helpful & lovely at both meal times. We had a lovely stay, good value & comfortable & will stay again in the future.

Just a minor thing it's on the side of the road so you might get a bit of traffic noise but compared to everything else it was a minor thing & I slept pretty well anyway.
