The bedroom and en-suite were to a high standard. The room was very clean. Choice of tea/ coffee were good and fresh milk was placed in the fridge every day. The fridge was stocked with an array of soft and alcoholic beverages which we used once. It was there on an honesty basis which we appreciated , not many things are based on trust these days.There was a lot of attention to detail and real thought put into what guests would like.

Nothing at all. It is part of a pub but the staff were rigid re the hours for serving so any background sound from people socialising stopped quickly when they ceased serving.

Beautiful room, lovely staff, great mini bar, excellent water pressure, nice big towels, comfy beds, very convenient location across the road from train/underground station and bus stops and plenty of shops, restaurants etc.

Sooooooo noisy. We didn't get much sleep thanks to the traffic and airplanes. Our room was facing the street, over the terrace so a bit of cigarette smoke was wafting in even with the windows closed. The double glazing isn't super effective against the busy area. Pack ear plugs.

Beautiful, stylish and comfortable twin room in the heart of Richmond, a great find. A stones throw away from the tube station and within easy walking distance of the local amenities and attractions. Both girls we dealt with on reception were very welcoming and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet and spacious the room was. The pub was lively when we arrived and had a great atmosphere but couldn’t be heard from our room on the first floor. The beds were extremely comfortable, we both had a wonderful sleep and there were some lovely toiletries provided in the bathroom. Would definitely stay here again and wish we had been able to stay for longer.

If we were to be extremely picky, we were unable to get any heat from the towel rail in the bathroom, so this room was a little on the chilly side, but this was probably a fault on our end.

only at hotel for one night. Staff at reception, bar and for breakfast were very good and helpful. Nice snack meal at lunchtime on arrival in bar and continental breakfast included. Great location for Ted Lasso fans (yes that was us too).

Towel rail not working in bathroom and as tiled floor it was cold. As there only for one night we made do but if longer would have spoken to reception which did on leaving next day. They were helpful again and advised they would deal with. Car parking - went in NCP car parking which was expensive as ended up paying full rate.

One of the best, if not best, butique/bar hotel that we have stayed in. Starting from early checkin and complimentary coffe while checking in and continuing with great service and staff! There is a pub in a ground floor and guys working there are just great! We've enjoyed a warm English welcome complimented by real pub experience every evening on our stay!

Not much to mention, thought hair drayer can only be used outside bathroom and there is no mirror near any of outlets.

Small but beautiful room. Nice little touches with Nespresso coffee maker (with easy instructions!) and a little teapot. Good and easy to operate shower with simple controls (I hate it when you have to stand in the shower and either freeze or burn as you try to work it out!). It feels like a lot of thought has gone into the room, and it is appreciated. Friendly and welcoming staff. Room cleaned to perfection each day. Love Richmond and excellent location near Tube Station for travel further afield

Location perfect access to public transport, tube etc. A lovely classic pub external facade. Inside the bar/dining area was beautifully decorated and appointed. A cheery welcome in reception guided to my room which was a joy. Lovely drench shower and soft towels available in the clever bathroom arrangement, the bedroom was beautifully decorated, a comfy bed with crisp Egyptian cotton sheets. Although in the middle of Richmond town there was no noise discernible from outside. Fantastic, I’ll be back!

Being an individual that stays in many hotels around the world I find myself in a strange position of declaring this hotel in a pub probably the best room I’ve ever stayed in. I’ve stayed in bigger, in richer, in more expensive but I’ve never stayed in a place that succeeds quietly in every area. Quality of bed: amazing; quality of decor: perfect, how they make you feel; special. Well done… whoever is in charge of this gem should be rightly proud. It is, quite simply…. Exquisite. Bravo.

Nothing and that’s a first

We really enjoyed the location. The staff were all excellent with a real warm friendly welcome and style. Fresh milk left in the mini bar fridge was a nice touch for a morning cuppa. We had three meals there which were all tasty, well presented and value for money. The pub had a friendly atmosphere with a mixture of locals and visitors.

The bedrooms (we stayed in two different ones over our three night stay) were a little tired and will benefit from a freshen up.

Location was excellent for our purpose as we were attending a wedding close by in St. Margaret’s. A few minutes walk from Richmond station and a black taxi rank. Receptionist was excellent at check in, very attentive and made sure everything was spot on with our room. We got a free upgrade so very happy. Welcome treats a nice touch and toiletries in bathroom very luxurious. 10/15 minutes to Kew Gardens which is so worth a visit. It is on a busy road and is a pub so noise until 11:30/12 but fine with us as we didn’t get back until late. Complimentary continental breakfast included.
