The Breakfast was excellent....There was a wide choice to select from a menu...i had a full English. The Hotel was secluded in its own Grounds/Garden with seating outside around the outside the Building where you can sit, relax and drink. The interior of the Hotel i particularly liked the Library Dining Bar area that was great to sit with a drink and chatting and a great view looking over the Garden/gounds....the Hotel has a great atmosphere.

Whilst there is a Ramp at the Main Door Entrance to the Hotel to help for disabled access....i felt this is to acute angle. I have Wonky legs and use two walking sticks as aids..so struggled a bit.i think even Wheelchair users might think that it could be more of an easier slope. The reception staff were Polite and Friendly...whilst i am an independant Wonky legged Person...it would have been nice had someone had offered to take my case and Carrier holder at least to the lift ...NOT TO MY ROOM..as i walk with 2 sticks..BUT...Perhaps i'm expectIng too much for what i paid for my Room.

The beautiful location and views make this place special. We had comfortable beds in a reasonable sized room for the money we paid. Easy access to Broadway and other pretty places in the Cotswolds.

Somehow despite the historic building, the place did not have much atmosphere in the communal spaces - reception, bar, library, dining hall etc. There was no real sense of hospitality; nothing was offered, so you had the feeling that you were always bothering people if you wanted anything. This said, the breakfast team were efficient, and the young dining staff were friendly.

The Hall was magnificent, open fire & sofas oozed comfort, we ate in the library, not only pleasing on the eye but tasted first class, breakfast was a delight, staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble 💟 Grounds we’re stunning, pheasants on the lawns & and an abundance of beautiful sheep lined the drive…at the end of that drive we slowed to a halt as an 11th of the 11th service was taking place, heart warming 📯

The piano lounge was sad, lacked warmth, needed a focal point, in my minds eye there’s now a brightly lite Christmas tree, music (or a pianist playing even better) and the open fire creating a winter ambience like no other…

The hall is fascinating, you feel royal by staying there! We slept one night in the biggest room as it was a family room, we went with our 2 little ones (3 and 1) and we had a huge double bed, 2 singles and a cot and the room was super big but cozy at the same time! The beds are like clouds, our 3 year old slept great and so did we( our 1 year old not so great but nothing to do with the room itself) ;) breakfast was brilliant and the staff were very accomodating for children. The staff at reception was also really helpful to tell us what to do on a rainy day with the kids! Lovely stay, definetely recommend and will definetely be repeating! As my little one says I want to sleep in the castle again! Lovely stay🙂

This is just a reccomendation as a mum of a little one. Perhaps an extra mattress for the portable/foldable cot. We have found that the extra mattress does help our little one's sleep as the mattress that comes with the cot is normally too thin for them. Just a reccomendation :)

Room was warm and cosy. With everything you could wish for a short stay.hair drier, iron, ironing board, great tea and coffee tray, mini fridge,, couple of comfy chairs and also a writing desk.Plenty if hangers in wardrobe and simple but so helpful extra hooks on a wall space for coats Staff at breakfast very attentive , excellent and varied British breakfast, not so sure for continental visitors. Ladies at reception excellent and a great help

Everything was good, who wouldn’t like a stately hall in the middle of lovely countryside within just a few miles of some of the prettiest towns and villages in the Uk

Having been before we knew what to expect. Food was good, staff very friendly and room very comfortable.

We had tried to call on the regular number several times (more than 6) and never got a reply, only when we hit option 1 did we get to speak to someone. This was over different days and times. We had room 7 which is above the kitchen, early morning and into the evening was a bit noisy- but not overnight. Tried to bring in a couple of no resident visitors but were told restaurant was full. Could we not have had a snack meal in the bar/lounge?? You missed out on extra revenue. !!

Beautiful setting, lovely grounds quiet and peaceful. If you wanted to get away from it all and relax then this is the place for you. Room was spacious with comfortable beds, a good sized bath and you'd be hard pressed to find a room that doesn't look out over the grounds. Staff were professional or friendly, often delivering services quickly. Planning a return trip soon - I imagine the setting is astoundingly beautiful in the snow!

Service at dinner time or during the day could be variable - not because of laziness or rudeness but general inexperience (very young). It's possible they reduce staff when there are fewer guests but it's a big hotel for too few staff - visiting the bar during the day on one occasion, we found coffee cups and eaten food on dirty plates waiting for collection and no staff, came back an hour later, everything still there, still no staff. Dinner felt rushed on one night, very slow on another. The dining and relaxation areas are neat but lack warmth (due a complete refurb very soon which should help). The transition from.old to new in the corridors can be a little jarring (wood panel to white walls etc).

The hotel is approached via a long driveway and is an impressive building in really lovely surroundings. The gardens were wonderful to stroll around with pheasants roaming freely. Our room was large and clean with wonderful views of the Cotswolds countryside. The very large bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was of a good standard. It was extremely quiet at night, and the only noise we could hear through our open window was the wonderful sound of an owl hooting. Breakfast and dinner were of a good standard. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely consider staying here again if we decide to visit the Cotswolds in the future.

The house and grounds are lovely, and very welcome after a stormy drive from a funeral some distance away. The restaurant was busy in the evening but food arrived quite quickly. Large bathroom with shower over a bath and shower curtain. Tea and coffee facilities in the wardrobe and two armchairs and table.

Upon arrival, we stood for 10 minutes waiting for someone to check us in, even though someone saw us standing there. No one offered to help with suitcases or direct us to a lift. Breakfast service was good-humoured but slow when we needed to check out and get going. Room was very warm overnight even though the radiator was cold. The shower was was feeble.

I have visited many times over 8 years and one reason for my return has been the superb dining room. The staff and chef are exceptional and dinner choices are excellent. The efficiency and organisation of the complexities of guests’ needs is outstanding both in the evening and at breakfast. The location is beautiful and I am sure that more will be made of the Post Office Remembrance gardens when the planned refurbishment takes place. Very dog friendly and a reasonable charge unlike some places in Worcestershire. An excellent lift which was close to the dining room which was a great help to a friend in the past who could not manage stairs very well.

The reception staff were polite but hard work to talk to. Only interested in the formalities rather than a bit of PR : obviously did the job but could have been more welcoming as experienced by stays in other hotels in Worcestershire.
