Fabulous B & B. Staying in a home that dates back over 200 years with a soul was wonderful, the Room and Bathroom are excellent , Breakfast was delicious with homemade bread and plum Jam, the location is great - very close to Tewksbury town centre. Suzi and Paul are lovely some of the best hosts we have stayed with. To top it off, the garden with the lake are very relaxing Would definitely recommend and we will be back

We stayed with Paulo and Suzi almost two years ago - and it was just wonderful to catch up with them again; it really was like staying with old friends. From the warmth of the reception, to the cleanliness of the rooms; the fabulous breakfast, the gorgeous garden and surroundings, we couldn't have felt more welcome or more looked after. Nothing - it was idyllic.

We loved everything about this property! Suzi and Paulo (and Lola the dog) were super friendly and gave us a great tour, the building itself was beautifully decorated, and the grounds well kept, the rooms and facilities clean and warm (but you can turn your radiator off or open a window if you like it a little cooler). It had great character and felt almost magical - it’s clear that a lot of thought, care and effort have gone into making this a perfect B&B. The food was tasty and fresh. Overall we had an amazing time and it was an absolute pleasure to stay her. Highly recommend.

Nothing - it was all great!

It was set in beautiful location. The house was at the end of the road so very quiet with no traffic. The owners were very friendly and made my wife and I feel very welcome. There was a small lake at the back of the house and we sat on a bench by the lakeside and watched the sunset.

We had a few problems finding the house. The address was perfectly correct but a small hand drawn map would have been handy. It had been a long drive for us so we were a bit tired and we got a bit lost. We were actually very close, just needed that bit of extra help. The owners were very helpful on the mobile and we found the house.

Fantastic , we couldn't find one negative about The Monkspool. Room spotless and comfortable, breakfast lots of choice and cooked fresh, Suzi&Paulo so warm and welcoming from the second we got there. Beautiful surroundings with its own lake with ducks and fish. Easily one of the best B & B's we've ever stayed in, can't wait to go back.

At first we were looking for accommodation in Tewkesbury, but found this little gem in a village just outside. The room and accommodation were immaculately clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty and freshly cooked for us. Afterwards we were able to spend some time in the beautiful garden and sit by the lake to take everything in.

There was very little I didn't like about the Monkspool B&B. I lost my Mum to the bathroom for 40 minutes as the shower was so good and she really liked the shower gel provided. I completely lost my bearings when I returned after our evening out, but did find and enjoy the guest lounge and its light switches.

Absolutely beautiful house and such wonderful welcoming hosts, the room was immaculate and the breakfast super tasty, I would recommend monkspool as an above average b&b. It is a peaceful and relaxing home.

The owners are extremely hospitable and immediately made us feel so welcome. They've recently acquired a sweet little shepherd's hut, which is a lovely size for a couple, and placed it down by the lake in their extensive gardens. Suzi and Paulo had clearly put a lot of thought into providing everything that we could want in the hut and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We booked this as a halfway house on our way home from Cornwall, and it was far more than we imagined it to be. The homeliness and welcome, and the easy-going approach was brilliant. They even arranged a meal for us at the local pub - huge thank you -we'd stay again!

Nothing at all really - our bathroom downstairs but we knew this prior to booking, It is advertised as such.

Breakfast was superb, couldn’t have been better. Suzi and Paulo were amazing hosts. Their hospitality was above and beyond, we won’t judge them for being Chelsea supporters 😂. Friends have already rebooked for a future stay and we will definitely return.
