Loved my stay at Weston Manor. An exceptional place, one of the nicest I've stayed in for work. Can't fault it. Beautiful large Victorian house, with many period features, and lots of 'arts and crafts' glasswork around. Really nice room. Spacious for a single. Great hoests, very friendly and helpful. Beautiful setting - saw a red squirrel in the garden within two minutes of arriving. Very nice continental breakfast. Quiet, peaceful location, but very handy for anywhere in the west of the Island. I hope I will be back.
Can't fault it really. I normally like a desk to work from, but I didn't mind not having one here. I was a tiny bit too big for the single bed, so I may book a double next time.

The location was perfect for us. Two keen motorcyclists and Military Road a short ride away. I find this part of the island quieter which is perfect and the island is quite small so everything is 15 minutes away which is great. The garden is awesome and watching the red squirrels was fun. The continental breakfast was really good and I was happy with everything. The host was very friendly and helpful.
This is really difficult because being a motorcyclist it is difficult to park and turn the vehicles about in the morning. The approach was quite pot-holed and awkward to ride on. The host and the other guests were very helpful in moving their cars to enable us to manouvre but it was not fun! If I were in my car it would not have been an issue in the slightest.

A lovely rural location and a very old building that was no doubt full of history. This was what initially attracted me to it. A quiet place where you stood a chance of hearing wildlife, owls hooting etc. Perhaps not everyone's cup of tea, but definitely mine. A very comfortable, peaceful stay, that left me sad not to be staying longer.
I can't think of anything. The two steps up leading to the bathroom could be a bit hazardous for less mobile people than myself (or more drunk), especially when you consider that people will be going to the bathroom at night when they are perhaps not entirely awake. But okay for myself, a fit, tee-totaller. And the steps may not have been typical of every room.

Lovely place in an old manor house, run by lovely people. In a good location for the Needles and other attractions in the west of the island, we came by car but there are buses if needed. Red squirrel in the garden was an added bonus. Our family room (very clean) was 2 adjacent rooms connected which was great. Continental breakfast was delicious.
Breakfast is only between 9-10 which for us is very late - though most island attractions don't open until 10.

This building was previously an old religious institute and there are signs of it around the site. The building is lovely and the area is very peaceful. The room was spacious and clean with a good ensuite shower room with soap, shower gel and shampoo provided. Tea and coffee making facilities and bottles of water were supplied. These could be restocked as required from a supply kept for guest use. However, rooms were not serviced unless specifically requested. This seemed like a sensible option to me. The breakfast was continental so warm croissants, fruit and cereal. It was plentiful and I knew that this is what was on offer before arriving. However, I did miss a cooked breakfast which is always a nice treat when away from home. The hosts are lovely and friendly but not intrusive. They do have dogs but they keep them away from guests. I have a dog phobia but never felt worried that I would accidently bump into them. I did not even hear them and only saw them once in the car. The B&B is in located very close to Alum bay (The Needles) and Totland beach. However, due to the weather we did not visit the beach. It is also walking distance to Tennyson's house. Parking is available on the estate. The Isle of Wight is quite small so with a vehicle is was a 30 minute drive maximum to anywhere we wanted to go. Wifi is available but cellular reception was not great in the house, although this seemed to be an issue I had in several places around the island.

Lovely place to stay on the Isle of Wight beautiful setting local pub you can walk to for dinner everywhere else you would need a car rooms comfy breakfast is nice it’s continental so only cereal fruit yoghurt toast and lovely warm pastries plenty of it but no full English hosts are very friendly lots of information about where to go and what to do locally very close to the needles and freshwater bay
Only parking for two cars so we had to drop our stuff off and park down the lane in an overflow car park no issue for us but may be a consideration if walking is not your strong point also location on the island it right over to one side so you have to travel across the island to many attractions but the island is small so is easy doable a beautiful location and very very quiet

The hosts are amazing! Very friendly and always ready to assist with tips and stories about the Island. Attention to detail was second to none. Breakfast consists of croissants, toast, selection of jams and marmite, butter, yoghurt, fruit and cornflakes. All lovingly displayed.
It feels a bit damp. Not the fault of the owners, but more the climate, as it is very humid. Internet (both WiFi and connection) didn't work at times. Wasn't a problem for us, but I think it may be good to know before you go.

It is very good and very clean. Well maintained. Certainly an interesting, atmospheric Victorian building. Mike and Vicki are pleasant and chatty and friendly and helpful. Very rural "back of beyond" location. Plenty of hot water. Very very good shower. Single room was large and in very good condition. Good value.
Locking the bedroom door was a knack. Rough pot holed driveway. Heating more off than on in January. To me it had a slightly creepy gothic feel in the entrance hall. (Great if you like that kind of thing!) Very difficult to find at night by map without Sat Nav. (But owners helped by phone.) Car or bicycle essential as rather remote. Bedding provided too thin for winter. One night sombody was scratching on my door at 2am. (Hardly the owners fault.)

Very peaceful old manor house, off the beaten track. Driving to attractions was required. Enjoyed the island and all the things to do, both historical and activities. Perfect continental breakfast every day, kind hosts!
Internet spotty, some things needed fixing up. A little remote if you find driving the narrow roads challenging. Price of ferry with vehicle was a lot, so only used it once each way. Passenger only ferry is very reasonable though.
