I liked the Glasgow House very much. It's a small and simple place with character, which is all I wanted. Run by a quiet couple who are very nice. Its excellent location is right by Glasgow U, Kelvingrove Park, and wonderful bakeries, pubs, and restaurants. Aside from a TV (which I didn't need) and WiFi, it doesn't have the updated amenities of a more modern hotel. But that's not why I stayed there.

There really isn't anything I disliked. Maybe the bed could have been just a little more comfortable and been supplied with an additional blanket, since it's cold at night -- however, I warmed up after a few minutes and the furniture is of good quality, so really it was fine.

Staff are fantastic 👏 Location right on point 1block away from subway. Beds and linen are clean While it needs a good updating, it ticks all the boxes for the price just some where to get your head down and off out.

The first impressions of the room was a little updating and attention to detail wouldn't go a miss. Replacing light shades and making sure bedside lights are working.

Very good location, nice stuff, value for money. The area was amazing, and there were many places around to eat and drink , 13 min walk to ashton Lane, 4 min to subway, and 1 min to bus. Stuff was friendly, and the room was clean . There was also tea and coffee.

Shower head wire and had an issue, and the water was coming out from the tap as well as from the shower and the tap i the shower was really difficult to use.

I appreciated the location--right by Great Western Road with close access to shops and subway. It was easy to pop in and out during the day between sightseeing and eating. It was an old place, and so it was more affordable (with the drawbacks that come with an aging building), and the lady who takes care of things was absolutely lovely! The first room I had didn't have wifi signal, so she gave me another room on the top floor where the wifi was great, and I loved the view! As far as cleanliness goes, everything was almost as spotless as possible. The bed was warm and comfortable, and I appreciated the pictures in the foyer and halls that added a homey touch.

There was mold in the bathroom, but without proper ventilation it's hard to avoid. The shower curtain was too long so that added to the mold. I felt very safe and comfortable, but when I had a neighbor in the next room I did wish for a chain lock, just because I worried they might try the wrong door! The floors creaked, the walls were thin, and the wifi down the hall didn't reach, but if you're like me and value a good neighborhood and feeling safe over having everything perfect, this is a good place.

The property’s location is very close to the university and also close to grocery stores and eateries. It’s all within a couple of minutes walk. The hotel was well maintained though it was an old property. The staff is very helpful and try to accommodate your requests. They also maintain the hotel very well. My room was spotless and I liked it. The staff helped me with my check in and check out very smoothly. I would certainly recommend it.

Room was very small but it worked for us since it was just somewhere to sleep for the night and we weren't spending much time in it Place could be doing with some renovations, bathroom was a bit rundown

Its location. It is close to the West End which I really enjoy visiting and is where my daughter lives. The ease at booking in and access. Simple to use too. Comfortable bed.

I found that the room I stayed in this time (7) was noisier than the other two rooms I have stayed in previously. The movement of other residents was easily heard and disturbed my sleep in the middle of the night a couple of times especially the use of the shower. I understand that this can't really be helped unless you sound proofed the room. Also I didn't understand how to use the TV and couldn't get the BBC channels.

I was pleasantly surprised at the room in the Guesthouse as it was better in person than in the pictures. It was an ideal location and also the lady at reception was lovely and very informative. The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. The room was also nice and cool which was ideal on a roasting hot day.

There are only 2 things that I could fault that are , the lights and electricity didn’t seem to be working in the morning but we only noticed not long before leaving in the morning so it wasn’t a big issue and also there was no body wash for the shower only hand soap.

Lovely comfortable property. Very cheap and worth every penny. Perfect for quick stops and those without a car. The staff are genuine and kind.

Nothing. It was worth every penny. Oh parking is definitely tricky however the road perpendicular to bank street has free parking from 6ish to 9:30 (please check). It is free on Sunday so no need to wake up early, perfect during the weekend. Side streets are costly for 15minutes with a max stay.

Glasgow House is a quiet, no frills, hassle free establishment in a converted Georgian Townhouse in the heart of the West End of Glasgow, within walking distance of many, many places to visit, relax, eat and simply enjoy. the staff are efficient and unobtrusive, the rooms clean and comfortable and though free on street parking is a five minute walk away, it’s well worth the very reasonable cost of staying in such an outstanding location.
