Receptionist was excellent, very accommodating swopping our room to a room with a low level bath. Breakfast staff were friendly and more than happy to help, nothing seemed as though it was any trouble. Room was very clean and comfortable, views amazing over the golf course. Leisure and Golf Shop team were really helpful when I became unwell due to a drop in blood pressure. Breakfast was fabulous as always, great selection. We are regular visitors to Belton Woods Hotel and Spa and highly recommend it.

The pool area can get very noisy, lots of children jumping in, splashing and shouting, understandable as a lot of children enjoy the pool. This has been our experience on every visit, weekends and weekdays. If you are looking for a peaceful spa/pool experience this is not quite the place.

Everything! We decided to spend Christmas here, not knowing what to. It was absolutely amazing. The room was huge, warm, comfortable, and clean. Loads of hot water and quality toiletries provided. The pool, sauna, and steam were great, too. Very modern and spotlessly clean. The breakfast couldn't have been better. Christmas lunch was delicious and lots of it. Entertainment on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day was a nice touch. The staff are amazing too. They are all very friendly and helpful. Reception staff were welcoming and bar staff very approachable.

Nothing to dislike!

Firstly, they were superb when I realised I had booked the wrong dates, they changed the dates without any charges. The room was spacious and we had 2 large double beds. The bathroom was fine too. Complimentary water was a lovely touch too. Very very quiet as well, which I appreciated after a long drive. Beautiful surroundings

No phone signal in our room on either work or personal mobile network, made it hard to work. However their wifi was fine for doing emails and Teams calls. Could have done with a bit better signage where the no entry sign is and the bumps on the drive are a bit annoying. I understand why they are there but even below the speed limit they are jarring and the driveway is LONG.

We had dinner, starter & mains, 3 of us, they were all hot, well presented & very tasty, we enjoyed the food & drinks. Our room was close to reception, very quiet, clean, excellent for our needs. The bar area we enjoyed, it was busy, but no waiting, bar staff excellent very efficient, prices reasonable, we enjoyed the atmosphere.

I can not think if there was anything we did not like, we have stayed over past ten years at a lot of hotels in area, we go to shows at Newark & Lincoln about 8/10 times a year, done so for a long time. Pity we did not find this hotel before, we will book here again, no problem.

Breakfast was as expected. Room had a few issues. Air conditioner/heater did not work. In room heating did not work. Standard lamp in room did not work. Coffee machine stopped functioning properly. Towel rack above bath about to fall off. Toilet roll holders about to fall off. There was no alternative to the pillows in the room - some people don't like large hard pillows. We did not eat dinner in the restaurant as we prefer to eat out.

Information in the room as to how to operate air conditioner, TV, and coffee machine. Meal times should be available in the room.

The staff were great. My room was very comfortable. The conference room we were in was spacious and light with very good, clean toilets of its own. The bar was a great place to retreat to. But the breakfast was knockout: a wide selection on offer, and all of it good quality and tasty. Excellent.

Housekeeping seemed to be a teensy bit sloppy: there were no towels whatsoever in my room when I arrived (not even a handtowel!) and someone else in the party mentioned that their room had no toilet paper in it when they had arrived. Hopefully just an oversight. And in my case, when I asked for towels, they were provided swiftly, with apologies.

I was most impressed I was given a free upgrade on my room as a single traveller I usually get the smallest with the worst views. Free bar was a very nice suprise. The room was huge with a lovely bathroom and view. Breakfast was in a gorgeous room and was exceptional in choice. Free car parking. The gym had a really great choice of equipment and it was very modern and new. The changing rooms were constantly being cleaned which I really appreciated as it was busy.Spa treatments and service was lovely. All staff were friendly. ⅞

The exterior of the building is tired and the doors quite heavy to open. The entrance to reception doors misleading. The pool area waa a little dated. I didn't feel like relaxing around it. The steam and sauna area worked really well.

This was not our first stay at Belton Woods as we visit every year. It was our third Wedding Anniversary and we got here and upon arrival were told we'd received an upgrade to our room. We were amazed to see we'd been given the suite we stayed in the weekend of our Wedding - such a wonderful surprise and a great addition to our stay. We enjoyed drinks in the bar, an evening meal in the restaurant and a great choice at breakfast. Following an enjoyable walk in the grounds that surround the hotel after breakfast we were sorry to leave, but will return again soon.

Other diners who take all the breakfast pastries so there's nothing left for anyone else - we must get up earlier next time so we can enjoy some!

I liked the remoteness , the lobby and the restaurant are beautiful and the views are lovely . The breakfast is delicious and they are always bringing out fresh food!

I wish there was a little bit more equipment in the gym , but I love the lighting in there ! - the cleaners came in to I thought “ clean the room “ however just made the bed and gave us fresh towels . Some of the towels that were in the room were dirty and the bath and floor in the bathroom wasn’t clean. - the walls in the bedroom are paper thin so when people walk passed you can hear there conversations and it did wake us up one morning. - the lobby and the restaurant are really modern and it’s a shame the bedrooms are so old fashioned they need a revamp!

From driving up until leaving the entire experiences was as I'd hoped & expected from Belton Woods Hotel. The staff were great from the moment I arrived, making sure I had everything I needed & informing me of what was available. Both the breakfast & dinner were of a good standard & enough choice for the 2-nights I was there. Even had time for a late round of golf & at a very reasonable price for what is one of the best courses in the region. Would highly recommend staying & I will be back when in the area again.

I had trouble connecting & using the high Kw EV charger but this could be my company card. No big problem but thought I should mention in case others have the same issues. Apart from this everything to do with the hotel stay was perfect.
