Lovely hosts. En-suite room was clean and comfortable, with double bed, bedside cabinets, small dining table & two chairs, dresser and television. Tea-making facilities were available, together with a small fridge containing fresh milk and items for a light breakfast (fruit juice, yoghourt, waffles and cheese). A sliced loaf of wholegrain bread and a selection of cereals also in room. Situated in a quiet street (no night disturbance) this B&B is perfectly positioned both for the city centre (approximately 20 minute walk) and Merrow Downs (about 15 minute walk to the start of a beautiful circular route) - a must see. We highly recommend this establishment.

Not so much a dislike, more an observation: the decor within the room was a little 'tired', eg some paint peeling from wall behind television. This in no way detracted from the enjoyment of our stay.

My bed was really comfy, and I had all I needed. For me, it's the little things that matter. The fact I could open my window and look out over a garden. I could listen to bird song in my room. The fridge allowed me to keep things cool, the microwave (a decent one) to warm things up. All my dietary needs were met above & beyond! The landlady & landlord were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. I even felt loved by their dog, a gentle spaniel (I think, who didn't molt dodginess) who I met outside :-) Due to having a physical disability & a hidden one too, it was so important to me to feel welcome, just the way I am. Many thanks Gina & John for all your thoughtful hospitality.... you enabled this Ozzie to feel right at home!!

Honestly.... I can't think of a thing.

Location is ideal, being a few minutes walk from the town and the downs. If using the train, London Road station is walking distance. Also buses to town centre close by. A superb room, very well designed with a wet room style bathroom. Breakfast was great including fresh products. Loved the separate entry arrangement with the key coded rear gate. Also, I thought the separate price for cleaning was very fair for guests, with just the one charge per stay. Gina and John are so welcoming and helpful - nothing too much trouble.

Nothing at all.

Addison B&B was brilliant! This converted older home offered a room that was clean, well appointed, and had everything we needed for a great visit. The unit is accessible by a locked garden gate and each guest is given a room key to their respective rooms. Loved the little mini kitchenette stocked daily with milk, juice, bread, butter and jams, yogurt, cereal as well as biscuits. What a treat to not have to dress for breakfast and enjoy our meal in our pj’s! The table and chairs allowed us to have other meals in house as well. The room had plenty of lighting that we were able to control as we wished. All the linens and towels were wonderful and we loved the warm soaking tub, too. John & Gina were excellent hosts always asking after our comfort or if we needed anything. Since our bathroom was down the hall, they even gave us slippers to use and an amenity kit which is so thoughtful.

The location was great for getting into town quickly and is set in a neighborhood so we always felt we were coming home. The streets can be quite steep so if this is a concern, keep that in mind. Both the bedroom door and the bathroom door were a bit noisy and we tried to be as quiet as possible to avoid disturbing the other guests. Most people were kind realizing we had a bathroom down the shared hallway but alas some folks were just hateful and rudely expected us or the owners to have control over that. The garden is undergoing a transformation at present but for future guests it looks like it will be a lovely place to sit and read or have a drink.

Hosts were agreeable and obliging, even let me boil eggs in their kitchen. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean and everything, including heating, worked well and was in good condition. Walking distance to town center and meadows. Great value for money. Fridge, microwave and kettle included.

My room seemed smaller than some of the rooms displayed on the main page of booking.com (but makes sense given the good price) so just make sure you know which room you're renting. Windows were also quite small and off to the side. Breakfast was mainly sweet, processed foods. Instant coffee.

Excellent value and hugely comfortable. Warm, friendly hosts who were easy to talk to - left their mobile number in our room. They also brought our Uber eats to us in our room. We had a triple (a double and single). Wonderfully comfortable beds, nice bedding, a great TV. A big fridge which was well stocked with simple breakfast stuff, including orange juice. The hosts quickly replenished our milk and brought us things we needed. My son had a zoom lesson and the WiFi was excellent, plus our room and a table and comfortable chairs to work on.

Very hilly walking there from the station (might get a can next time) Some might be a bit put off by entering through the garden as work was going on, and the corridors weren’t very promising but the rooms themselves are lovely and beautifully done so don’t be put off. We didn’t have an en suite - our private bathroom was down the corridor. But it was great and still felt private.

We booked all of the rooms in the property and all were very well equipped and comfortable. we had everything we needed. Gina was incredibly kind to us over the week we were there - especially me as I was unwell and isolating in the double room. The photos don’t do the place justice. All of the rooms are beautifully and thoughtfully laid out and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast items touches were lovely. It’s not in the centre of Guildford but it’s a very easy walk with a couple of lovely pubs and a Co-op in east distance. Don’t be put off but the parking. I’ve stayed here twice and Gina has directed me to safe and good parking in a nearby location. This is a lovely and traditional guest house but with very modern touches. Much more comfortable and with far better facilities than some of the more expensive hotels in Guildford. I’ve stayed at The Mandolay and The Angel in Guilford and would much rather stay at Addisons. Do stay. You won’t regret it!

A very minor thing, and more down to our more unusual working hours than anything - we work in theatre so work nights and rest more in the day. All three rooms are downstairs with a separate entrance, but it is a bit of a thorough through in the day - meaning that other people come and go from the upstairs through to the garden. Not a big thing at all but there is some coming and going of a morning and the sound proofing isn’t great, which means you might get a little disturbed if you sleep a bit later. That said, Gina is very open in her description sheet that it is a family house and they do keep the noise down between 8pm and 8am and are also very open to talking about different arrangement with guests who might have different working hours.

It is a family house, offering B&B service on their garden floor. Operated by a super lovely couple, very friendly and helpful indeed. The room is very nicely designed, also have a kettle, fridge, toaster and microwave!… sockets have USB plug-ins as well. So, very pragmatic. FYI: Good internet but no phone reception. There is still some work in the garden, as of March24, so lower your expectations for enjoying the garden. When finished, it would be just an extra attraction for an already nice B&B. Many thanks for Gina & John!…

Breakfast could include cheese/eggs on offer. For now it is only sweets (jam&butter, porridge and cereals), in addition to bread, milk & juice all of which are nicely provided in the room…

I had a great stay at Addison, John and Gina are fantastic hosts with a wealth of knowledge about their beautiful town. Everything was spotless, bed was comfy, shower hot and a fully stocked supply of breakfast foods if you want to stay in. The High St. is only a 5 minute walk and is a chance to get some fresh air on your way to all that Guildford has to offer. I have family who has moved there, so now have a place to come back to when I visit. Thanks John and Gina!

I asked for a cooked breakfast at a reasonable price and very much enjoyed it, Giana and John were very nice hosts, it was quiet and I would recommend to my friends, i plan to visit Guildford to see my family in the future and will no doubt book with Addison bed and breakfast again

Freeview channels were limited as I use Freeview and there were not as many as I receive not sure why but would be useful if they had all the Freeview stations. other than that everything else was excellent
