I wanted to say thank you to the Inverkip Hotel staff. I stayed here so that I could go for my dad’s funeral and they did an excellent job looking after us. The room was comfortable, clean and nicely designed. It was the perfect size for a group. The breakfast was filling and frankly delicious. The staff were nothing short of phenomenal. I am immensely appreciative for what they did for us, and how accommodating they were. I hope to come back in happier circumstances. But nonetheless, they made what was a very tough day a lot more comfortable.

As our one night stay coincided with a key Scottish Euros match, we were upgraded from our room above the bar to a quieter and much bigger alternative. The staff were proactive, helpful and friendly. We had an excellent dinner in the evening with a menu offering interesting choices. Breakfast was timely and freshly prepared.

The car park is directly behind the hotel and to access it one has to trolley a bag up/down a steep incline. The hotel needs to think about upper level access for those who need it and in particular with baggage.

The room was spotless, and comfortable. The guy who booked us in etc, was fantastic. Danny I think his name was. Friendly, polite and helpful. The bars were comfy and atmospheric, but very very busy.

We had quite a long wait for our meal, seemed like a lot of waiting staff milling around, but no explanation as to why we had such a long wait for food (40 mins from being seated til served) we had haddock and chips haddock lovely, but let down by basic frozen chips.

All of the staff were friendly, helpful, polite and welcoming. After being stuck on the mainland with nowhere to stay for the night due to all ferries being cancelled, I came across this lovely hotel on line. So glad that I did. Next time I'm visiting family, I will either book in for the night or pop in for food, either way, I will definitely come back. Everything and everyone were amazing.

We were very happy with our stay, they could accommodate us last minute (our Ferry to Isle of Arran was cancelled so we couldn't get to our accommodation for the night). The dinner at the restaurant was absolutely devine, the kids enjoyed their food. The room was clean and beds were comfortable.

The breakfast was a little underwhelming compared to the delicious dinner we had the night before. Also no spare blanket in the room.

Breakfast was excellent and our server a true delight. We ate dinner there too on two of our three nights because it was so good! Bed was comfortable and room very clean.

Bar that was under our room stayed busy til about 10:40 on the first two nights - that was fine and expected when you’re in a hotel like Inverkip - but whatever music they were playing had a loud heavy bass that was repeated over and over - it was wearying by the time they ended for the night.

Top notch hotel in this price bracket. The rooms are pleasant and airy with high quality furnishings, soap etc and the most comfortable (memory foam) mattress I’ve slept on. Great location for visiting Bute. Excellent food and ambiance in the bar/restaurant. Staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.

Such a lovely find. The building is old and that itself gives it a little charm, but the food was delicious and staff absolutely brilliant. At the last minute I had to travel alone as my husband was unwell and as a lone female I felt safe, which is something I think is really important.

My room was just above the bar so the noise carried upstairs, but it was quiet from 12 onwards (I stayed Friday/Saturday). It did sound like a lively night had my partner been with me we’d have gone down for a night cap. The mattress was pretty firm and not what I’d usually like.

Very friendly staff. an error had occurred somewhere between booking.com and the Hotel such that they had allocated a double room when a twin had been reserved. Staff member Danny re arranged their reservations to provide a family room at no extra charge. Restaurant staff were very good.

All the staff and managers were friendly, helpful and efficient. The rooms were comfortable and the food was lovely. A nice cosy ambience. Would definitely visit again if in the area. Having their own private car park also a bonus as the main street through the village is narrow and parking could be tricky otherwise.
