Lovely atmosphere, great staff, our superior double upgraded room was excellent with a wide range of facilities and some nice touches… nespresso with sufficient coffee pods, Dyson hairdryer, Roberts radio... Dinner was very good at no more than pub prices and super friendly and helpful staff.
2 negatives... 1) The dining room was cold in the evening and my wife had to wear her coat throughout dinner! 2) The time it took for our cooked breakfast to arrive. In fact, we’re not sure how long, as after 45 mins, having chased them up after 30 mins, we had to leave without having breakfast. The breakfast room was pretty quiet and it was a simple order. That said, when we paid the bill, the cost of breakfast was deducted without question and with plenty of apologies so it wouldn’t put us off returning there at all. Everything else was excellent.

The setting was beautiful and the hotel and grounds matched its setting The staff was very friendly The room was clean and spacious it was a nice touch to find the shortbread and truffles The complimentary shower gel etc were beautiful and like being in a spa The shower was of a good size and the controls were very effective It is a friendly environment sitting in the bar at the end of a busy day sight seeing
As vegetarians the breakfast was not the best mushrooms were cold and soggy. The sausage was like nothing I have ever seen before We felt for dinner there was not a good selection the menu was very meat / fish based The bedroom was beautiful but the pillows were flat and very uncomfortable I wasn’t aware the hotel was dog friendly and was a little put out to have my room situated next to barking dogs The doors to the rooms would benefit from a soft close hinge banging doors are not the best

The hotel was nicely decorated and clean with well maintained and attractive public areas. The staff were approachable and helpful at all times. Our room was clean and well decorated with a large, well furnished bathroom and shower. The food was well cooked and presented with ample portions.
Although, when you book, the Booking.Com page shows free cancellation (available up to a stated date), our full payment was taken straight away. Something to watch if you are short on funds on your card when you book. The food is good, but there can be a wait for it to be delivered to your table, and there is an included %age service charge. You can have the service charge removed, but I wonder how many people bother to read the menu additional information?

From the moment we arrived, we knew we'd made a great choice. The welcome, the room, the food, and the excellent team at The Pheasant made our stay perfect. The facilities and the little touches like a doggy wash area, wellie boot borrow facility, bikes to borrow, even glasses to borrow if you forgot yours! It's just the perfect package for a relaxing and comfortable retreat. Lovely walks to the beach just across the road, even a shepherd's hut option if you fancy. Ambience is perfect, and our four-legged friends made to feel so welcome. Loved it!
There is nothing not to like!

A lovely, clean, well-decorated hotel with friendly, helpful staff and a good selection of continental buffet breakfast as well as hot options cooked freshly and brought to the table, which makes a lovely change. Rooms were a good size, decent storage, lovely tea & coffee selections including a n'espresso coffee machine, and a large bath with good shower over in 1 room and walk-in shower in the other. Plenty of communal rooms to choose from if you want to relax with a drink, too.
Slightly out of the way so you'd need transport to get around. I think there was a local bus service but we had our own car.

Lovely hotel in a quiet location with easy access to North Norfolk sights. Staff very friendly and helpful and the room was very comfortable with nice finishing touches. Everything you.could need is provided. Dining and bar areas were inviting and good decor; evening dinner options to suit all tastes and excellent choice of breakfast offerings. First time stay for me but would.certainly stay again.
A couple of things were a bit tired....the tap had chrome issues on the top and some small.areas needed a little paint touch up but these didnt detract from my stay. Everything was clean and a lot was provided in the room.

Excellent variety for breakfast ,buffet ,continental or Full English . Good range of drinks including a couple of real ales. Spacious place with good access, very pleasant staff . Comfortable well equipped rooms.
When told what specials were available for evening meals it would help to be told what wasn't available on the general menu at the same time . Having spent time choosing and anticipating my choice twice consecutively I was told the chosen items were not available. However all the food is of excellent quality and very well presented.

Staff friendliness and attentive from the restaurant, reception and housekeeping! Quality of food was delicious from dinner and breakfast! Perfect location for our stay and the bedroom amenities were great including shower gels, hand soaps, coffee machine and Dyson hairdryer
There were a few dogs within the hotel, even though they were kept away when eating, worried if I would have allergy reaction when being in the hotel and possibly staying in a room where a dog had been however I did not which I was pleased about.

The room was a Standard room, we very much liked the fridge, the good biscuits, the nice mugs for tea, the shower mat, the soft large towels, bottles of water and fresh milk in fridge, two comfortable arm chairs, a safe. Especially good was the bedside lighting, this is often rather poor in hotels. The food in the restaurant was delicious and beautifully served. There were various sitting areas in the hotel and the rooms were beautifully furnished, the dining areas were most attractive, and there were lots of places to sit outside if the weather had been warmer. the grounds were extensive
The wine was rather expensive

Our room was very comfortable and was a real treat, Our meal in the evening was very good and we liked the atmosphere in the dining room. The staff are very helpful, attentive and with a sense of humour which is very welcome these days. We would defnitely like to stay again some time.
The only thing that spoilt our stay, just a little bit, was the service at breakfast time. We had to wait quite a bit for our order to be taken and we were not the only ones. The staff seemed tired and maybe a few more members of staff would have been advisable.
