Room was fantastic, bed was super comfy and I slept really well. The services were straight forward and what I expected for an overnight stay. Everything I needed in order to travel light was supplied (hair dryer, towels and soaps etc), and free wifi was offered as well (I didn't use this, but good to know it was available if needed).

The entrance is a bit strange, as you walk into the building and nothing is there; you have to get in the lift to the 1st floor before you are in the hotel. However, the lift is secure for all hotel rooms, as you can't get to any other floor without a room key, so this helps ensure you feel secure.

On arrival was greater by a very pleasant man behind the counter. Checking was smooth and with no issues. Had an accessible room. Room was clean and had everything we could need. Liked the later checkout as we could have breakfast and leisurely pack afterwords. I really like the checkout time sometimes it's straight after breakfast and you have to do a mad rush around.

There was a terrible smell on the 3 Rd floor which I was quite concerned about, that concern was not needed though as it did not smell in the room. So a mad dash to the room was done a couple of times that evening. By the morning it had completely gone. So they must have had an issue and then solved it. I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast. There was everything you could want. The hot food was just a bit lacking. The fry up breakfast was not fried at all. It was all oven baked and was very dry. So was very cardboard like. So if we ever chose to come again I would pick a different eating choice. All in all I would stay again if I ever booked in the town centre again.

This hotel has to get 10/10 because of the amazing staff. From the receptionist who communicated brilliantly before we arrived, gave us a lovely warm welcome and did so much to facilitate us to the cleaning staff who have this place spotless, and the lady clearing up at breakfast who was busy but still found time to chat and have a laugh with the kids. I was travelling with two young children and the room was ready on our arrival with the very comfortable sofa bed already made up. Breakfast was a feast and the location was perfect for us going to an event at Connexion Live just a few minutes walk away. It is also right beside the railway station and a shopping centre which has a trampoline centre, climbing wall centre, minigolf, bowling alley, cinema. The value we got here was incredible & I wholeheartedly recommend it to families travelling to Hull. Also is 15 minutes walk from fantastic world class aquarium.

I was impressed by the attention to detail that you don't always get in more expensive hotels. Absolutely everything worked - keys, lights, electrics, you name it. All very clean, fully stocked and easy to use. Breakfast was also better than I expected, with a wide range of well-presented offerings. Also an ideal location for me, being very near the train station.

Just two slight niggles. The duvet seemed very hot (but better than not warm enough, I suppose). And while the room seemed generally well insulated, there was a noticeable repeated tick coming from somewhere in the evening, as if is a radiator was warming up. I didn't have the aircon on so couldn't work out where it was coming from, but it didn't keep me awake for long and had gone by the morning.

Amazing location as right next to the train/bus station, right in the town (I was there to go on a birthday night out so this was perfect as didn’t have to get a taxi back) the staff where extremely pleasant quick and easy check in beds where amazing I just wish I got to try the breakfast. Everything was just amazing especially for the money.

The only issue I had my whole stay was I could not connect my laptop to the Wi-Fi but I think that has something to do with the anti virus I have on my computer as I had no problem connecting my phone other than that everything was perfect.

Perfectly placed for the city of hull. Every member of staff was friendly, professional, smart, they are a credit to the company. The room was smartly designed . Bedding beautifully white and fresh, lovely soft white towels. A.C, hot drinks in the room. Breakfast was buffet with nicely presented hot foods. Lots of choice. I was very impressed. Friendly staff constantly replenishing everything and keeping tables and floors cleared with friendly chats when clearing tables. Just a lovely friendly vibe. I would happily return. Parking was very simple. St Stephens carpark. Drive and park at the end where you can walk into the hotel entrance. Charge £8 per day in the hotel which is cheaper.

Accommodating staff, friendly entry and exit, check in is until 2am which was great as we had a 4 hour drive up to stay.

The hotel were fabulous, we had a minor disagreement with the parking attendant at st Stephen’s which is where you’re supposed to park, but if you find they also tell you off for your cars noise there’s parking very close at the train station which you can also pay for with ringo, so easy. Would also suggest making it very clear there’s no cots provided, we packed one anyway but would’ve relieved some tension wondering.

Breakfast was okay nothing special but better than I thought it would’ve been. We was attending an event in the Hilton by Doubletree nearby.I usually stay in the Hilton. but it was full. To be honest the Holiday Inn exceeded my expectations. I particularly like a little note in the bathroom stating that if you’d forgotten anything that they would supply it complementary that was a nice little touch. Definitely stay in one of your hotels again.

Didn’t like the breakfast area too basic.

Adjourned to a shopping centre car park. Easily accessible. Cheap parking £8 for twenty four hours. Friendly, helpful and polite staff. Son wasn’t able to book initially due to work rota, and then there was no rooms so had to book another hotel. However, staff at this hotel allowed him to have breakfast with us! Clean and comfortable room. Great facilities, well equipped room, plentiful towels, tea, coffee, iron, laundry service, shampoo, Wi-Fi ect. Sofa bed was made up, this is lovely, makes everyone feel valued. Choice of different pillows available, nice touch :). Itinerary located on the reception desk for places to go. Lovely breakfast that included buffet style full English, and continental. Food was hot and service was spot on. Check out at 12, didn’t feel rushed.

Key card lifts, make sure you read the signs 😅. PG Tip teabags, would have preferred Yorkshire teabags (especially being so close), than Manchester teabags. Only joking, just had hard tea drinkers with us 🤣. Outside wardrobe

Great location,2 min walk from the train station.

Only one lift was working, and we ended up using the stairs as it took forever for the one working lift to arrive. No hot breakfast due to problems with the oven. Heard a few people complaining and wanting money back, and we could see one of the staff members getting flustered. He had obviously dealt with a few unhappy guests that day. We felt sorry for him as it wasn't his fault the oven weren't working. To be fair, the food they prepared was still satisfactory. The only things missing were bacon sausage.
