Friendly staff especially Front of house and staff during the funeral high team.

Inconsistency at breakfast... bacon was floppy not crispy so ask for crispy! No jam or marmalade with toast the first day so didn't bother eating it at all. Need to provide tea and coffee throughout not just before breakfast. Everyone friendly but seem a bit short staffed. Food was lovely for high tea and evening meal was delicious! Beer first class. Room was great, warm and sunny and the shower was really good. Nice vibe ... old fashioned, clean and comfortable.

Really nice hotel, lovely staff very friendly and can’t do enough to help. We had a very nice dinner all cooked fresh and served by attentive staff. Prices were very reasonable and if you have a big appetite this is the place for you very generous portions, likewise breakfast was exceptional cooked fresh and served at the table. Good parking at the hotel, and WiFi in all areas. Happy to recommend and look forward to returning.

There was nothing we didn’t like, one minor point which is not an issue was we would have appreciated an extra chair in the room, we were there for only 1 night so not a major problem

We arrived late but the staff was waiting for us and was super friendly. Our entire stay was perfect. Easy to reach from the train station via cab. The room was great and a short walk from the coast line with a beautiful view. The breakfast at this location was top notch!!!! We are already planning a trip back to the area and we will stay here again. Dinner was also incredible and they have a great whiskey bar. I highly recommend this location!

The food was great, I had the full breakfast which was included in my accomodation, it was brilliant and huge portions! I also had dinner in the evening before and the food was really good. Comfortable stay, the bedroom as a great size for it being only me and I found the hotel to be in a quiet location.

The noise from the adjacent (and my own) fan in the bathroom I found a wee bit annoying, but not enough to disturb sleep or anything like that.

The staff were extremely helpful. My husband was ill one evening and the staff could not do enough to help us, they were all very caring, I was very grateful for their support. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. The restaurant menu was extensive, although the portions were extremely large. We appreciated the comfortable coffee bar to meet with old friends.

We had an evening meal which was absolutely terrific and great price. The staff were lovely and Callum went out of his way to run after us. Terrific. Breakfast was superb. Best scrambled eggs I have tasted in an hotel. Portions were really big, and I couldn’t finish the meals but they were delicious.

Lovely little room! Clean and reasonably sized! Checked in late due to traffic coming from the Breamar Gathering, when I arrived the service from the kitchen had finished but I was luckily able to order something last minute. Thanks to the brilliant staff who helped me out! Breakfast was great, I had the full Scottish and it was more than enough! Would stay again.

The history of the building, the location, our large comfortable room, the staff were helpful and friendly

There was nothing about the hotel facilities and the room we didn't like. Our only slight negative was that the restaurant served very large portions which are not necessary or healthy

Excellent restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Excellent choice of breakfast options. Good bar and friendly staff. The room was comfortable and warm.

The only downside was that the door to the ensuite bathroom is a sliding door that was very noisy to open and close. A problem when using the bathroom in the middle of the night.

All staff we had contact with were efficient, helpful and friendly. Standard of cleanliness excellent across the whole hotel. Was a very busy evening but nothing too much trouble. Food well presented, good quality and very reasonable price. Room spacious and comfortable.

Shower cramped and water temperature not as hot as it might be.
