We stayed at the Talbot for 3 nights for a friends wedding in the local area and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The town and building are bustling with history, the Talbot is a VERY old building (1596? I think) but they have done a lovely job keeping it intact. The rooms are lovingly decorated with modern furnishings but still keep some of the charm of the old building, the dining room for breakfast has the original wood panelling from the 1600s which is delightful. The staff were incredibly accommodating for us as we arrived to Ledbury VERY late Friday night and we couldn't have enjoyed our stay more.

My single, and only complaint was the bathroom in our room was just a smidge too small but perfectly still usable! I am a slightly larger gent. I would say if you wear a XXL usually, you'll have a fine but snug time. I would recommend regardless because you can easily still use the facilities in the rooms, but if you're tall you are going to hit your head too! People in 1600 were only about 5'8" and their buildings reflect that

A very friendly pub and hotel. Staff were most helpful. Unsurpisingly for a 300+ year old building there are a lot of low ceilings and uneven floors but they are all part of the character of the Talbot. Very comfortable room and bathroom. Bar staff were freindly and a good range of beers and ciders on offer. Good breakfast in the morning.

We were lucky to find a parking place right outside the front door but it would have been a bit of a hike to the public car park nearby. This is not a poor reflection on the Talbot - Ledbury is a very old town and it wasn't designed for cars.

The Talbot is a charming 16th century inn. Our room was in the courtyard and was lovely- spacious, clean and quiet, comfy bed, generous hospitality tray. The breakfast was amazing- cooked to order with lashings of tea/ coffee. The duty manager (Tom) was so welcoming. He even phoned us on the morning of our stay because of the storms to say not to worry if we could not travel, they would cancel with no penalty. How great is that? Needless to say, we did not need to cancel and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Staff, particularly Helen (and Dolly the Cockapoo) were very welcoming. We had a bar meal in the evening which was great and had a good breakfast before departing for RHS Malvern. The hotel location is excellent, with 24hr parking a very short, level walk away (£7/24 hrs).

Could have done with a shower gel in the room, shampoo & conditioner, and lotion were provided. The room was clean and tidy, if you’re looking for immersive luxury this probably isn’t for you as the room is a tiny bit tired, but then the whole place is 400-500 years old, and steeped in history, so we can forgive a few bumps and scrapes.

Very old, very interesting characterful building right in the middle of Ledbury. Pleasant pub bar with cosy open fire. 16th century wood panelled dining room for dinner and breakfast. Good dinner. Particularly good breakfast. Bedroom fine with tea/coffee making and biscuits and hot chocolate sachets supplied. Complimentary toiletries in bathroom. Very clean. Staff very friendly and efficient.

Sadly no parking but public carparks nearby. Low ceiling in bedroom due to age of building, meant my husband (6ft 1") couldn't stand up properly. Also very narrow corridors would not fit everyone. Part of the charm of the place but larger folk should be warned. Slope of floor meant beds not level. They could be propped up to counter floor slope so you don't slide down the bed.

Everything was excellent and exceeded out expectations; The staff were super. very helpful, friendly and welcoming., Nothing was too much trouble and we were given a lovely room for the night we stayed there, recently refurbished I think, it was immaculate and the staff member made sure he showed us how to use the thermostat for the heating and made sure that we were happy with our room and had everything we needed. The pub is a real old genuine pub in the town and the atmosphere was one of conviviality and friendliness. The dinner we ordered in the restaurant was excellent, as was the breakfast in the morning, all freshly cooked. Overall, the value for money was outstanding. We are definitely planning to stay there again. Thank you to all the staff we met, one of the best value for money nights away we have ever had. Thank you.

We couldn't fault this pub. It is situated on a one way street, but we were able to park in front of the pub the whole of the night. Although we realized that parking there might not always be available, there is 1 or 2 car parks within a short walking distance.

Wonderful friendly & helpful staff. We ate dinners at the hotel & were all happy with our choices.. At breakfast I asked if eggs benedict could be adapted [as I`m not keen on eggs but love the sauce] nothing was too much trouble & I ate bacon & spinach mornay.......it was presented like a work of art & tasted delicious! The hotel provided historic references to the hotels history, thus adding interest!

Exceptionally welcoming and helpful staff. Really excellent breakfast cooked freshly and lovely hot plates! Top marks for good value. This hotel is in a very old building so it is a bit quirky and can appear a little tatty at the edges in the common parts but the rooms we had were very clean, comfortable and attractive. So very convenient for Ledbury and easy to park in the municipal car park.

Pillows are a little bit too firm for me but that's not a criticism as it is a matter of taste.

It is rustic and a very old building. It was great to stay in a place of historic value.The service and food were really good. The staff were accomodating. It was central to the town,which was also lovely. It's dog friendly, which is a great plus! We would definitely stay again and recommend if you appreciate an old building, that's quirky!

The pillows were too hard, and that was all I could fault. Just having an alternative pillow left in the wardrobe would have been good.

The four of us enjoyed the evening meal and the excellent breakfast The staff were polite and very helpful and friendly Beer was good and the right price

Bathrooms were very tired I was in room 6 and the repair work or should say lack of it was very amateurish No bulb in the shaving light or in the very dark built in wardrobe which I read on previous comment in July about the bulbs being on order I think the order needs chasing up Lots of black mould I shower cubicle Shower head faulty Bathroom sink taps when turned on turned themselves off Linoleum skirting in bathroom falling of and full of dust Panelling near toilet was falling With it being a cold day the heating could have been turned on low before our arrival The bathroom radiator had no instructions how to turn on I had to trace the cable back into the bedroom But seriously this did not spoil our stay A handy man in the bathroom for a day could put things right
