Starting with the check in experience, everything was smooth, super friendly and flawless. The location of the hotel is great. Directly near the bank of england and great bars and pubs. 5-10 minutes to stations like the bank station or moorgate etc. Marta at the reception was super friendly and helpfull all the time. The other staff, the night staff or the staff at the bar were also kind and helpfull. Everything we requested got answred promptly. We were on the 6th floor and our room included a balcony. The room was huge. The bathroom even bigger. With a jakuzi and a large mirror perfect for 2 people. I stayed with my friend and we were enchanted. The bed, the interior design of the room, the details, the little gifts. A capsule modern coffee machine with a selection of capsules. Tea, popcorm, little snacks like butter cookies. A great desk with a mirror designed like a make up table. A couch right in front of the tv. The bed was huge as well. Soft pillows, the smell of hygiene everywhere. We loved everything and every evening we were so happy to return to our room we didnt want to leave it. The check in experience was smooth and the check out also. What is very important for travellers is that we were able to leave our luggage before the check in and after! Our flight was late night but we wanted to explore the city more and we were able to leave our luggage and came later to pick it up that day. Talk about comfort! The hotel really does everything to keep you happy. We will be staying at Clayton in all our other stays in London. Thank you Marta and all the other staff. Loved loved loved it.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything about my experience was perfect. The location is ideal, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. My room was not only comfortable but also spotless, which added to my overall relaxation. The breakfast was a highlight—it was delicious and had a great variety of options to start the day. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. One of the most memorable moments was the thoughtful gesture for my birthday—it truly made my stay extra special and showed how much they value their guests. I’m so glad I chose this hotel, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional experience. I look forward to coming back!

Nothing to say, everything was perfect !

We were staying in London to celebrate my husband’s birthday. I emailed the hotel beforehand to request a quiet room but when we arrived, found that we had been upgraded to a suite. In the room, we were greeted with balloons, a plate of fresh fruits and chocolate canapés, plus complimentary drinks. What a lovely surprise! Thank you to the management and especially to the Receptionist who checked us in and out. I don’t know her name but she was lovely!

The sink in the bathroom didn’t drain well but this was such a minor detail, it’s hardly worth mentioning.

In fact, the room is quite clean, and the cleaner staff are very friendly. As for the hotel staff is very nice, if you meet Ms Selzia, aboslutly you feel to be comfortable, I feel to confirm a great staying day. 😃

The restaurant in the lobby usually offers delicious food and has friendly staff, except for one morning. Occasionally, there have been unusual interactions with other customers, and it seems that one of the staff members might feel uncomfortable because we are Asian.

Great location (at least City wise), new and clean hotel, helpful service. This was my second visit, after the hotel was taken over from the former Apex management, so was glad to see that Clayton retained the standard (though see dislike below)

Too many emails from the hotel. They wanted me to check-in online and after ignoring them, I even received a text message. That was rather annoying, so in order to prevent them going next step further in calling me over the telephone, I tried to check-in as they were suggesting and then I could not make it as the system was not responding for one reason or another... When I came in person, I checked-in in less than two minutes with no problem whatsoever. Difficult to understand why they choose to harass guests with such aggressive check-in campaign, hopefully someone will show this comment to mastermind that advised such strategy to be implemented...

Location of the hotel was satisfying with comfortable access to underground stations and bus stops to/from the airport. The room was spacious, spotless clean and quiet. The bathroom had both a bath tub and a large shower. Closet space was more than adequate. Tea and coffee facilities were excellent, there were also complimentary water bottles in the minibar renewed every day. The reception, restaurant and housekeeping staff were very attentive and helpful. Quality breakfast was served in the restaurant. Check-in and check-out processes were also easy.

A luggage rack would be a nice touch in the room.

The hotel has very comfortable beds with high class linen. The bathroom is extremely clean and the large shower which can be separated functions perfectly. The hotel is located in the bank quarter which is calm during the weekend but allows you to go by tube within 30 minutes almost everywhere. The staff is extremely friendly. Highlight is the breakfast which is served and gives all options. Quality outstanding. You should book it in advance which is much cheaper than booking the numerous plates separately. Hotel is absolutely worth the money.

Extremely comfortable room, exceptionally clean. Large bathroom with a soaking tub and a large shower. High quality soap, lotion and shampoo products (Rituals brand), and complimentary tea, coffee, and cookies each day. Yes, it's in the business district so it's very quiet on the weekends and late evenings, but it's walking distance to livelier areas and close to lots of public transport.

Honestly, we had no complaints. Maybe the area isn't a 'cool' neighborhood as it's the business area (so I think people tend to stay here for business vs leisure), but that made it quiet in the evenings, so we didn't mind. Plus we were able to walk or easily catch the tube or bus to get to other areas of the city.

I really appreciate the no fuss upon arrival. I stayed at the Melia White House hotel initially because that’s where my husband’s company booked us for his work. We arrived early because of our flight timing, and there was a room available, but they made a big deal of having to charge us £50 to check in early even though the room was available, the Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the room was the same type as we booked but the bed was smaller than described and the room was so small you can’t even walk around the bed - you have to crawl across it to get to the other side. Then we moved to the Clayton for the weekend. We came right from checking out from the other, so we arrived early, and I expected to have to store our bags and return after 3pm. Instead, the man who checked us in was very welcoming and warm, gave us a room upgrade immediately without my saying anything, and didn’t even mention that we were early. Just was happy to welcome us. And the room was great. So comfortable after the closet we had just been in.

The staff of the hotel, including the housekeeping and restaurant were very helpful and friendly. The size of the room and bathroom was very comfortable. The balcony was an added advantage during our stay at the hotel.

The location around the hotel was blocked due to the road works. This made it very difficult to get taxis through uber. They would keep cancelling the rides as they couldn't access the hotel.
