Excellent very friendly staff. We had afternoon tea, which was exceptional. Amazing location 2 minutes walk from Buckingham Palace and with views out across the Royal mews buildings. Bed perfect. Heating worked perfectly (weather was very cold) and despite fronting a main road the room was silent! Entertainment in the evening, in the bar, was a bonus and the singer fantastic.

The Price of Breakfast ! Far too expensive on the day £45 each - £30 if pre-booked. (no surprise there where only 2 tables eating) - pop over to the English Rose cafe 2 minutes walk lovely little place and full English for £12 each.

Friendly helpful staff. excellent location, lovely quaint elegant hotel.

I tipped the staff during my stay but when I checked out they added an additional £15 per night tips which I didn’t realize before my stay and I felt uncomfortable declining it at the reception desk.

The location was brilliant as we were going to a Palace Garden party, and the hotel is within easy walking distance. Lovely staff and quality building and deco.

Location as wonderful

Cosy double was very tight. Maybe less furniture would help. I was travelling alone so okay but would have been very cramped with one more occupant.

The location of this hotel is superb allowing my partner and I to take in all the primary recommended sights of Buckingham Palace and to attend the Victoria Palace Theatre. The staff assistance was excellent with everyone going out of their way to ensure our stay was as good as can be. The doorman was superb in chasing a taxi down the street allowing us to attend our theatre show at The Prince of Wales Theatre.

I found the room (classic) to be very constricting and this affected my overall satisfaction. A larger room would have been more preferable, and asked for, but was, sadly, not available.

The property was at an excellent location right across the street from Buckingham Palace. Specifically across the street from the Mews of Buckingham Palace. Also very close to shopping and restaurants as well as the great mall in Green Park area. The property also is historical and beautifully decorated. We could not have asked for better service.

It is not an expensive, however through Booking.com I feel like we got an excellent rate. Like most of the historical hotels in London the bathrooms and rooms are a little small, but we were actually very comfortable in the room we had at the Rubens.

Loved location close to train station and landmarks. Breakfast although very good I think think the continental buffet area could have more fruit options i.e strawberries, watermelon along with cheeses.

I found it offensive that the hotel of this calibre would suggest £15 per night when the hotel room bookings are already costly. I do not mind tipping when I feel it is warranted but to have the hotel suggest tipping is in very poor taste. I realize you can opt not to have this added to your bill but it leaves the person staying at the hotel a bit disappointed and causes embarrassment.

We booked to go to Reuben’s for a special treat for my husband’s birthday . In check in our room had been upgraded to the king suite which was luxurious and spacious. On arrival there was a birthday cake and bottle of wine . The suite was the highlight of the stay rooms were luxurious and spacious with 2 bathrooms a living room and bedroom with dressing room and four poster bed . Staff were all very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you . Breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice . Location is good . Couldn’t fault our wonderful stay thank you for making us feel special 😊

From the first step, you feel the warmth and perfect hospitality of the hall porters, front desk, concierge, room service. Especially the porters when they see you, you feel like they know you for a very long time. Talking with the kids, asking how their day was… The rooms were very clean and especially the bathroom. Even if we left the room in the evening, there was always little welcoming gifts in our room.

The employees of the restaurant during the breakfast was very unwelcoming and even though I told them, I already talked with the front desk upon our arrival and they confirmed the breakfast. They treated as if I was not telling the truth and in case they do not see my room number in the list, I stated that I would just pay. But they were so unprofessional and unaware of how to treat a guest staying in their hotel, so I just left the rest with my kids and had breakfast in Chelsea and some other locations.

The staff were all professional but maintained a friendly manner, no request was too much. The food was exceptional, we had snacks in the New York Bar along with some drinks and the atmosphere was lovely. The breakfast was perfect, this was in the main restaurant and the menu offered anything you could wish for; the breakfast came out fresh and hot and was delicious. The location of this hotel is great, we had a beautiful stroll down Pall Mall and it was only a 20 minute walk into the west end, with amazing views of St James Park along the way. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to London, this hotel offers a personal charm and luxury that you sometimes do not get with the larger hotels in London.
