I never in all my travels had such a good breakfast. Thank you for rocking it 3 out of 3 mornings/dishes. The location is amazing as well and everyone complaining about the noise: Don’t travel to London, into an old building like this without earplugs. Easy as that. And then it’s perfect. Room was comfy and clean.

It was REALLY helpful to have a "base" from which to go around that was typical London and NOT in the middle of everything touristic. The London Underground was just 8 minutes walk away (Kensal Green) - convenient for anyone with all but the heaviest of baggage. Though it seems far out, Kensal Green station is just a 25 minute ride from Embankment Station - with its many connections. The William's personable staff were very accommodating, helpful and flexible in terms of letting me stow baggage - both before, ... and after checking in, so that I could go around. Late evening entry code provided. Thank you !!! Pretty good selections for the breakfast that was included in the price. I was assigned a rear wall room which was VERY quiet and clean. Washroom was also perfectly big enough for my needs. I would stay here again even though the price was a bit above my budget. As others have said, it was really nice to return to a pub atmosphere after trekking around London, and having breakfast provided helps to get one off to a good start in the morning.

Indeed, as others have also noted, the rooms here are smallish - but this is normal in Britain. This is an inn with nearly 200 years of history. It might be helpful if hosts mentioned steps up to rooms to prospective guests. Public areas on the way up might do with a sprucing up, ie. a steam clean etc. Personally, my room actually needed a modest table surface (see IKEA) rather than a luggage cradle. My single bed was comfortable enough - as there is insufficient space for even a twin mattress in the room. Travel note - Arriving by Underground from Central London, one should NOT take trains destined for Queen's Park, as they will stop short of the hotel by almost 3 km. Look for terminuses beyond Kensal Green. Do your homework.

excellent stay , great value for the room , room very spacious very clean & tidy , comfortable bed and pillows , perfect location for most destinations, overland station near by and bus route , pub was really good , meals and prices were really good as well as drink prices , very spacious bar with beer garden , staff are very friendly and welcoming, check in and check out faultless, breakfast was with price of room and again exceptional with plenty of choice , this pub is definitely worth staying at.

only that are room was at front of pub the pub and the road can be busy but this is not the fault of the pub. nothing else as our stay was comfortable and exceptional

- The staff were incredibly kind and helpful! - The restaurant was amazing. We had breakfast and dinner there every day, and everything was delicious--especially the breakfast and the Sunday roast. They accommodated my husband with gluten-free options, including side dishes and bread. - We loved the charm of the hotel and its overall atmosphere. - The room was spacious and had a fantastic-sized terrace. The bed was very comfortable. It's on the softer side, which isn't our personal preference, but that’s subjective. - Bonus points for the huge towels, electric kettle (coffee, tea, sugar, and milk were provided and refilled daily), mobile radiator (while the room was warm, it was nice to have an extra option), travel adapter plug (UK to EU), and an excellent hairdryer (not those terrible, useless ones mounted in the bathroom). -It was very easy to get everywhere since the bus station is very close, about a 3-minute walk. (We don't suggest taking Uber ; it's very expensive.)

-Although the daily clean was nicely done, the room could have greatly benefitted from a deep clean, especially the carpet. The cleaning ladies did their duty by hoovering and it's completely not their fault! It's just the nature of carpets. -Guests should bear in mind that the bar is part of the restaurant, so it can get a bit loud at times. The music is typically not played too late—around 11ish—but you may hear it, and it could be a bit disturbing if you're a light sleeper.

I chose The William for it's location near to a friend I was visiting so we decided to try their pub dinner which was excellent and fairly priced. My bangers and mash was good and my friend had the battered fish which she said was also very tasty. They had a good selection of artisinal beers and ciders too. Our waiter recommended the Checkoslovakian beer which was excellent (sorry. Don't remember the name) The only minor irritant I had was the automatic addition of 12½% service charge to the dinner and drinks bill. Acceptable for a table of 6+ people but not 2.

The bed could have had a better mattress.

Good location for hopping onto trains or buses into central London and across London. Very clean. Comfortable bed and room was well equipped with tv , tea & coffee, hair dryer etc. Excellent breakfast provided and friendly staff. There is a lovely courtyard at the rear, with undercover area.

Our shower room was very small. It was difficult to lock and unlock the door in our room. Would suggest soft closing to be added to room doors, as woken up once or twice by neighbours letting their door slam.

The pub is very cozy, spacious and beautiful. We had dinner and the food was very good. Great breakfast options and I really liked the sheltered courtyard for reading a book or smoking when it's raining. Our room was a bit smaller than I imagined, though probably larger than many accommodations in London. We also had a balcony, though it rained a lot so we weren't able to use It.

The bathroom could use some adjustments. The radiator didn't work (there was an electric heater available, but it's not the same), the lighting not very good and the shower hose wouldn't stay upright, so you had to keep it by hand

The room is small (as majority of the hotel rooms in England, no surprises here!), but cozy. Furnishing in the room and in the bathroom looks new, fresh. Everything is clean. The building itself is a historical one. Good atmosphere. The staff is friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast is super good! You can choose whatever you want, starting from full English breakfast till light yogurts and alike. Morning coffee is excellent! It's done in a proper coffee machine. It's "the coffee", not a filter drink with a coffee smell :) It took me just 5 min to walk from the Underground station to the hotel. Commuting to central London stations takes apprx 20 min by Bakerloo line - very convenient.

It would be nice to have a shelf or alike for clothes. But it's understandable, why it's not there - the room size. It was good to have at least 2 hangers. Although it was fine to have them hanging behind the TV. This is a minor thing!!!

Hotel was exactly how the photos showed. Great staff, great pub and a cute outdoor area too. I liked our room too, very spacious and comfortable bed. I used the additional bunk bed to unpack my suitcase and had my change of clothes unpacked on display so it was easier for me to choose what I outfit to wear for Taylor Swift in June (which is when we went). Breakfast was amazing, we stayed for a few nights and the breakfast was great!!! The bloody Mary’s were also good - me and my partner ended up recreating the drinks when we got home! Very good for the price for two nights. Definitely going to stay again when we can!

The bathroom we had was great but I was concious about having a shower where the window was open (as the window was right next to the shower and near the toilet) I became concious I could be seen from the street. Other than that everything else was perfect. Just - maybe some blinds can be placed on the windows so if it’s a hot day the windows can still be open but some light blinds to be placed on the bathroom window to give privacy when in the bathroom - may give guests less anxiety when having a shower (as I was very anxious people could see me getting in and out the shower and I didn’t like that).

The rooms and the restaurant/pub are very cute! We loved the style of the whole place. Everyone was very nice and accommodating and even allowed us to store our bags when we arrived before check in and after check out which was greatly appreciated. Our room had a cute balcony which we enjoyed. The walk to nearest underground is not too bad which made getting around the city great! The restaurant was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the included breakfast each morning!

I missed the small detail that there is no air conditioning here, only heating..this wasn't a huge deal for the time of year we visited and they provided a good fan and we were able to leave the window open every night and sometimes the patio door if needed. However, I likely would not choose this if it was a hotter time of year because I do not sleep well in warm conditions. If you're not traveling during warmer months this would not be a problem at all! The neighborhood does not offer much itself and we often went into more central london for activities and eating!
