The Legh Arms is located in a lovely part of Macclesfield and was easy to find. The staff were lovely and answered all our questions. We had dinner one night at the pub and the food was delicious and the staff very friendly. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed linen and towels were very fresh. It was a nice place to stay for two nights as it was close to family we were catching up with, and it is also in a very pretty, scenic area to drive around and explore.
We weren’t thrilled that our room was on the highest level up a very narrow staircase. We are travelling for a month so our suitcases are large and heavy. We also found that we relied on the provided portable fan to cool the room enough to be able to sleep. We were lucky to get a carpark when we returned on Friday night as the carpark was almost full and there are not designated spots for residents.

Lovely place - large room, large bedroom, good breakfast choices. Very welcoming staff. The building is a pub and hotel so you have to share the car park with pub patrons, but we had no problems getting a space. Don't forget to log your car registration though!
The shower is over a fairly high sided bath so it's not particularly accessible (and I forgot to put the non-slip bath kat in the bath!) The hotel is in an old building so there is no lift to the rooms - we only had small bags so it wasn't a problem but there are a number of small steps to get to the 1st floor

This is a lovely inn in the most beautiful village. We had dinner in the pub - it was great (well, not London great, but definitely north-England great) We had breakfast - it was generous and very good. Room was elegant, the bed comfy, the shower clean and spacious. Staff is just lovely - helped us with the parking & luggage and provided very attentive service. Will definitely come back if in the area again.
It was July, so quite warm outside, room was on the top floor, just under the roof, no aircondition (although a fan was provided) so a bit too hot for a perfect sleep.

What a fantastic hotel and room - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Legh Arms and will definitely be staying again. Furnished and decorated to a high standard, our room was a deluxe double and it was so comfortable and spacious. The mini fridge was most welcome, as was the fresh milk for a cup of tea. The hotel even provided a little gift pack for our dog, which he enjoyed. The staff were really friendly, nothing was too much trouble, and we had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant, which had a good atmosphere. The breakfast was one of the best we've had at a hotel - a tasty, big full English breakfast with great quality food. There are a few nice bars on the doorstep and the hotel has a lovely beer garden, which is a good suntrap too.
Nothing! We loved everything about our stay!

Young friendly staff with good humour and enthusiasm. We ate in the restaurant on the first night. This meal together with the breakfasts were well presented and tasty.
Despite there being double glazing, the noise transfer from the Courtyard beer garden immediately below our room was really excessive. We were sure there was no sound insulation above the plasterboard ceiling to the roof above. Out of courtesy, we reported it to the duty manager as we thought this room wouldn’t be a good choice for people who like to retire early.

Great place, easy check in and the room was great. A large room and a large bed with great linen. Just a walk downstairs to the pub/restaurant where we enjoyed a really good meal. My husband had the pie which was full of beef and I had the butternut Ravioli, both excellent. The breakfast was equally good and was cooked to order. We choose it as it was close to Manchester Airport but it’s a lovely area and I will definitely stay again to explore Cheshire.
Nothing.

A wonderful place to stay with friendly, warm and welcoming staff. Everything was great overall. I want to especially thank Alfie for his attentiveness and friendly hospitality. When I am next in Macclesfield. Without a doubt the Leigh Arms will be my first choice for place of stay.. I highly recommend to anyone wanting a boutique inn experience. You will not be disappointed!
The only thing was the room. It was a bit too hot with the central heating on all night. Made it a bit unbearable to sleep.

The location of the hotel was perfect for us to get to a wedding down the road. After checking in we were able to relax with a drink while we got ready to leave. The night entrance was also great and the guy that checked us in was very good showing it to us and also showing us to our room. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was also quite back and everything was clean. No complaints.
Nothing.

The room was nicely decorated and bedding clean and of good quality. The general areas and pub were all clean and well presented. Coffee, tea, water, biscuits and even a bottle of ale were provided in the room. Breakfast was also very good.
Can only say that the walls and windows not too good as letting in a lot of noise however we were really not bothered and can't think of anything that we didn't like.

Stayed here a number of times. Rooms are always lovely and clean and of a high standard. Bathroom great with superb shower and very soft towels. Complimentary slippers.
We used to have the option of croissants/breads as inclusive extras at breakfast. Unfortunately, these were no longer on offer. Also,we weren't given a rack of toast with our cooked breakfast,so the point of jams and marmalades on offer seemed pointless. No complimentary bathrobes on last few visits.
