The gym and the pool! both much better than I thought, mainly because there is a proper fitness center which serves the whole village. We enjoyed it, athough we had to pay 5 pounds to use them (even as hotel guests...). Given that 5 pounds was for both of us, it was not too bad. At weekends, the ambiance at the lobby is simply lively. If you want to drive to Leeds Castle to have a visit, it is rather close : only around 6-7 miles away.

The beds and the room are a little bit small for us. Ayyeee... I guess we can use Asia's modern, advanced standards today to judge Europe's rather old, out-of-fashioned, limited facilities and service haha ;))) fair enough. Food at Grill is... ehhhh...Oh yes, we are in England ;)))

The overall facilities at the hotel were of a very high standard. Room design with regards to lighting were lacking but I guess this is standard with all their rooms

Unfortunately other guests weren't quite as nice as most. There were a lot of very loud guests into there early hours that were returning to there rooms to exercise the vocal cords and let everyone else know there presence. And it was obvious that a number of guests were using a certain type of narcotic during their stay. The corridor on the 1st floor we staying had a verdict strong odour of weed

Location was great for what we needed. Friendly staff .

Bedroom really did smell of cigarette smoke on entering. We did complain this next morning and they asked if we would like to move . But we didn’t want the upheaval as we had plans and just didn’t have the time . They said they would inform housekeeping to spray the room and give it a good clean . Unfortunately it made no difference whatsoever it still smelt of smoke when we got back in the evening.

The location is perfect for an overnight stop to break a journey, just off the motorway but not particularly noisy. The reception staff helped us to check in on the computers and to add on extras such as parking and use of the fitness centre. The room was absolutely fine, but the best thing about this hotel is the fitness centre - we loved the 25 metre pool, jacuzzi etc, and the gym looked really good though we didn't have time to use it. An extra fiver per room to use these facilities seems really good value. The buffet breakfast had plenty of choice and availability. It's only a 10 minute walk beyond the hotel to a pleasant section of the River Medway, which was nice. We'll stay here again.

My chicken katsu curry in the bar wasn't that great.

Just about everything. We were passing through on Friday night, and the Euro 24s were on. So a very lively, nice stay overall. The hotel is self contained with bar, restaurant, Starbucks, gym, pool, etc. There’s an intentional semi-Industrial /Retro feel to the place. Small theatre area in the bar/ restaurant. All staff are super courteous and helpful. Tower fans were in the rooms to keep things cool. The shower in the room is modern and convenient- no bothersome taps just push the button. ;) All coffee and tea services are found in the room. The flyer in the room was clever marketing indeed. (Pictured) Didn’t do the breakfast or the pool, but we’ll make it a point to visit again and stay a few days longer.

I’d never stayed or considered a Village Hotel before so my first stay for a wedding nearby. Although it’s a big hotel with lots ‘going on’ it still maintains a welcoming, homely and cosy atmosphere. loved : the Spa toiletries - really good quality, modern funky decor, friendly helpful staff - from security to kitchen and front desk, buffet breakfast was well cooked and not dripping in fat, brand of coffee in rooms - not Nescafé at last! , staff attitude was friendly and helpful eg my son left passport in his room; lost property lady rang to let us know they found it and said they would send it recorded post which they did.

although convenient to the Kent life museum where I was wedding guest, motorway also adjacent but this is good for hotel footfall and not a direct criticism on hotel

Plenty of room downstairs in the dining area staff always cleaning up and clearing the tables after use also very large car park

When you are staying for several nights and then have to pay to park I think it is a little of putting The room was large and very hot with no air conditioning it had 2 fans but to noisy so had to switch them off to get to sleep Lighting very poor no ceiling lights so just 2bedside lamps 1with black shade and 1 with with white also then given a Large standard light to put in the corner so with large fan plus standard lamp reduced size of room

Very clean and had modern facilities. Friendly and professional staff. The rooms were a good size, well decorated and with everything you would expect. The food was lovely and the staff were friendly, professional and helpful.

There's no proper/fully manned reception, so it was hard to get hold of staff - it took me more than a day to get hold of someone from housekeeping. Although there was a chat feature designed to connect guest with staff, the responses were very, very slow. Also, although the restaurant was fantastic and the food great, there were a lot of items on the menu that were unavailable.

Exceptional customer service from check-in throughout our stay. Great staff! Everyone was kind, helpful, friendly but professional. Really enjoyed our stay.

Slow service for food on the Friday evening. Advised of an hours wait but thankfully not that long - however staff kept us fully informed and it was obvious they were working hard to reduce times. Excellent attitude to resolving an issue.

Perfect location for what we needed loved that all the facilities were available for use at no extra cost bedrooms were perfect size for a couple. beds where very comfortable.

The fact you couldn’t order a soft drink from the bar during breakfast and could only have the orange and apple juice available I also couldn’t get the online ordering app to work for room service or table service
