The staff member who checked me in, Chloe, was very welcoming and showed me to my room. The room was big, well decorated with storage and a really comfortable bed. The ensuite was a good size with modern fittings and a large walk in shower with a big drenching shower. I ordered the Steak and ale pie for dinner, it came with mash and fresh vegetables, the pie had really good quality steak and the pastry lid melted in your mouth. The bar had a good selection and prices were reasonable. Breakfast in the morning was again, prepared to a very good standard and well priced. I will definitely be booking again when staying in the area.

Couldn't fault anything

Breakfast is a continental breakfast with a decent range of choices (except there is no marmalade but jams instead). Whilst it might not match a Holiday Inn for example you certainly won't go hungry. Breakfast is served in the bistro area of the pub. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our bathroom was the biggest we had all holiday and it's quality toilet paper unlike Holiday Inn or Travelodge!!

You can sometimes hear a little noise from the bar but, unless the England football team are playing, its not intrusive. For a July holiday the room was a bit cold but the landlord did put the heating on.

The queens head was in a perfectwere location. The owner and staff were very friendly and obliging. The room was very clean and comfortable, and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was big and water was hot and had full power head. We had 2 dogs with us, and the room was ample room for us all. The breakfast was ample and had a variety of things to choose from. We had a lovely time at this accommodation and would definitely return. Although this is a pub, we were not disturbed by the pub at all.

There was not anything we didnt like, thankyou.

The room was very comfortable and clean....shower was perfect....lock on the door was dodgy and needed replacing.....bed very comfy...room was too warm and needed a fan to cool down....also needs an intro pack regarding wifi password etc...floorboards need replacing in corridor....spoons needed on tea and coffee tray....however it was a very good overnight stay and we will be back...breakfast was continental but very good

spoons needed to stir tea and coffee....wifi password....tv was flashing light and dark for some reason....room very warm but only one window would open so fan would be nice...pillows a little too soft but personal preference....noisy floorboards in corridor

Stayed over for a weekend. Accomodation is located very close to the beach in a friendly little town. This is quite remote so best bet is probably using a bus if relying on public transport. The two ladies at the bar were very helpful and friendly and the room itself was fit for purpose. Given this is a pub, it is slightly noisy until closing time which is to be expected. Expect a continental breakfast which is self service and a dinner menu which is not too expensive. The cooked food was really enjoyable. Not an extravagant getaway by any means but would say this is overall good value for money and would recommend for a short term stay.

Great location, lovely big bed room. Shower was excellent once I worked out how to use it. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great for our dog. Separate entrance so you didn’t need to walk through the bar. Good continental breakfast. Location less than 5 mins to beach. A few other places to eat nearby if you wanted to.

They weather got a lot colder during our stay, on the 3rd night we were quite cold as still had summer duvet on and the heating went off in the night. We did mention it before we left so they could do something about it for the next lot of guests.

We, 3 people, were cycling from Newcastle to berwick upon tweed and this was our first stop. Staff were friendly and helpful, no problem storing our bikes safely. Town itself is definitely worth a visit. Our room was clean and bright with good bathroom and shower. Bar is good with decent selection of beers. Locals in bar were friendly and we enjoyed our night. Overall this perfectly fitted our needs on our cycle trip. We all agreed we'd stay again.

Everything, we've visited multiple times and from top to bottom it's an amazing place to stay. The staff are very attentive and provide excellent customer service. The food is of the highest quality and is great value for money. The rooms are incredibly modern and well looked after. The queens head is also very dog friendly.

There's nothing that I didn't enjoy about our most recent trip.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Warm room. Good location near to the prom and beach .Friendly staff. Bar was welcoming -with a really good happy hour deal between 5 and 7!Great for exploring Northumbria.

Breakfast was ok -but thought it would be a cooked breakfast and not continental.

Great room, perfect for our 2 night stay. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The bar area has a great atmosphere, lovely little beer garden at the back too. The food in the restaurant was lovely! We couldn’t fault the place. We would 100% stay here again.

Not that I didn’t like the continental breakfast as there was a good spread, but a cooked breakfast option would be great. Cooked breakfast would have made this a 10/10 for us.
