Beautiful hotel/restaurant/bar with a really interesting and spacious room for a family of 3/4. The service was superb from the moment we booked and they couldn't do more to ensure we had a good stay. The bar and restaurant was homely and the food was good. Breakfast was excellent and the check in and out process was easy.
It is on quite a busy road that is noisey most of the night, our room got hot and we needed to open the windows which didn't help. The food and drinks are quite expensive.

Lovely spaces to sit and take the dog. Comfortable room and room for dogs rate. Doggie treats provided. Excellent food. Breakfast very good although we didn’t see juice and cereal on first morning! They provided us with a takeaway breakfast on se one day as we were leaving early. We will be visiting again as the location is great for a family visit nd it was very comfortable.
Nothing. Staff were great. Just didn’t see where the extras for breakfast were!

room was very spacious and clean. booked with breakfast included but also had an option for dinner if i wanted with the bar menu. Plenty of selection to choose from. staff were very helpful and cheerful. Also able to request fresh milk with my tea in the room instead of plastic cartons as there was use of a fridge. Also fresh bottled water daily was put into the fridge.

Lovely historic inn with immense character. We enjoyed our 4 night stay in the only room that was available which was a gorgeous family room. The breakfast menu was excellent. We ate every evening and enjoyed some delicious food and drinks. All of the Staff were pleasant and kind. They were so generous when we confessed we were on honeymoon and they presented us with a bottle of prosecco.
No negatives from us.

My room was spacious & even included a fridge. Breakfast was lovely, on the first morning I had the full English with a couple of exceptions, proper sausages & very nice bacon, the second morning I asked for sausages, bacon & 2 slices of bread to make a bacon buttie. Nothing was too much trouble, even though Vicky on Sunday was rushed off her feet. I had an evening meal on the first night which was very tasty, wine was a little expensive but very enjoyable
On the first morning one of the staff started hoovering while I was still eating my breakfast, not very near me, but nonetheless I wouldn't expect that, a few more minutes waiting wouldn't have hurt.

Everything, staff were lovely. Communication before we arrived, perfect. Arrived late, they checked on us, warm welcome after a long and horrid drive from London (torrential rain). Room, clean, warm, cosy, comfy bed, lovely tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits, and fridge with water. Breakfast divine, we had dinner too with some friends, couldn't have been better. Great range of non alcoholic drinks, which cheered my Dad up no end. Had a lovely stay,y parents stayed before, they used to live in Long Stratton so perfect for visiting old friends. Thanks to the lovely team who looked after us this weekend. Claire, Khurram, Sue and Ray (rms 10/11)
Err..... thinking.... that we couldn't stay longer?

We had a beautiful spacious four poster bedroom with seating area. Breakfast was amazing best of had in a long while.
Road noise as was at the front of the house. There was double glazing but no good if I wanted the window open but thankfully there was a fan to keep the room cool.

Period style building which is converted well into hotel accommodation. Good restaurant and bar area with old style flag stone floor. Decent size rooms. Also has cycle storage arrangement which is very helpful. Hotel offered pre made sandwich facility for customers who needed a early breakfast sitting. Meant I could check out early with something to eat.
Shower over the bath needed some attention and extractor fan not working, so very foggy when taking a shower. Front of the room has low eves, but that’s a period property of course.

Nice old character building nicely set out. lovely olde worlde restaurant and bars with plenty of comfortable setting. The meals were exemplary.
Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner- mould growth around shower. cracked floor tiles on bathroom floor- not ideal when barefoot. Hot tap very noisy. None of the above are big issues to resolve. we would not let this put us off staying again 😀

I liked the way The Ram was decorated, all the exposed wood . The fact that it was a very old building , which wasn't hidden, it was celebrated and done tastefully. Food was excellent 👌, Staff were very nice and friendly too. Comfortable room too. Thank you for a lovely stay.
