During my stay, I was particularly impressed by the landlady, whose warm and affable demeanor immediately set a positive tone for my experience. Her professionalism was matched by a genuine friendliness, and her wealth of information proved invaluable throughout my visit. What truly stood out was her exceptional ability to facilitate my requests with both efficiency and grace, ensuring that any adjustments to my room were handled seamlessly. Her accommodating nature transformed what could have been a mere stay into a thoroughly pleasant and personalized experience.
While the gentleman at the property struck me as rather firm, perhaps a touch distant, it seemed clear that he preferred not to be disturbed with questions or inquiries about the facilities. I did get the impression that he was somewhat reserved towards me, though it’s hard to determine whether this was intentional or simply his manner. However, any slight coldness on his part was more than compensated for by the warmth and friendliness of his wife, whose gracious hospitality truly shone. Despite this, I would certainly stay again, given the overall positive experience.

It’s quirky, a touch of grandness
I had unwashed coffee cups, upside down on the drinks tray. Still with what looked like hot chocolate in the bottom. The lady was quite abrupt and rude on the phone when I called to let them know I had parked in the car park, I just wanted confirmation I was in the right place as didn’t want a ticket. Asked if I could use the toilet as we were half hour early and travelled along way. She tutted told the rooms were not available until 3 but I could. Didn’t greet us was left standing in the lobby not sure where to go. Even though you get 1000 emails from them about the hotel, checking in and now I’ve had 3 about my stay (sure there be more, bit over the top) they wasn’t able to respond to my email I sent the morning of arrival regards to parking and slightly earlier checking.

The owners were so lovely and welcoming, the room was lovely and spacious and very close to the town centre.
Although the size of the bed was great, the metal bed frame combined with the soft mattress made it hard to get in and out of the bed and then when you did get out of the bed the cold metal was not the nicest of things. Although the room was beautifully decorated we did find that the curtains were thin and couldn't close properly due to the lace down the middle and it disturbed our sleep due the the morning light coming through the curtains

So glad we found this little gem, was looking at the generic hotel chains and Mamas popped up, same price (if not cheaper) than the main hotels but the quirky, individual styled rooms caught our eye. We were not disappointed, the room (St Petersburg) was immaculate and the little extras that Marina had provided made it even better. Definitely our go to accommodation in Nottingham. We also had breakfast here and the food was delicious and the options varied and catered for gluten free (I'm have Coeliac disease)
Nothing, everything was great

Quirky establishment and family run so attention to detail present . All minor room details have been well covered with lots of nice extra touches.
Whilst the room itself ( the Venice) was beautifully presented the bed was a tad soft and the bedding had not been aired fully from washing so presented a musty smell to it which affected sleep slightly . Other than that location and cleanliness and personal service from hosts was excellent

Hosts were very attentive, we were made very welcome, the room was very splendid indeed. A gem of a place, close to the city centre.
The shower was a little too hot, but otherwise a clean, comfortable room, with an individual feel. I believe the rooms all have a theme, and this was a welcome change from the usual anonymous chain hotel rooms we generally experience...

We had the casablanca room. More like a suite. Loved the quirkiness of the place. Very comfy bed lovely and warm. Very welcoming hosts. Very convenient for town lots of restaurants across the road and easy parking at the back.
Only thing was the shower wasn't easy to control and not powerful. Outside front needs more light. Overall place was amazing!

We were greeted warmly. We were in Nottingham to do a DJ gig and the accommodation was close enough to the town centre to make it an easy walk to Hidden which was the venue we played at. The room was warm and comfortable.

Breakfast - not just the standard full English, but a selection of breakfasts from across the world. Just to be different I tried a Japanese Tamagoyaki omelette. A really nice touch having this choice - something you wouldn't even get in a large international chain
Because I live near a road it wasn't a problem for me but the hotel is situated between two major roads in Nottingham city centre. The traffic noise, although not excessive, may be an issue for some people

I had opportunity to stay in 2 different rooms and got to see the other room too. All of them have a theme and are tastefully done up keeping the guest need in mind. Marina Peshchanitsky the owner as well as the all round maintenance and Restaurant Manager was a wonderful host and tried to look into all our needs. Locationally this Boutique Inn is very centrally located within 5-10 min walk of the town centre and eating places yet away from the maddening crowds.
While the rooms were very well & thoughtfully done up, couple of the double rooms had beds not suited for large people and could be a bit cramped on double occupancy. But then, I think you can choose the room you want if booked well in advance. Also, one has to be ready to trudge up a few stairs should you get a room on the top floor but then I took it in my stride after that good English meals one indulged in during the day.
