The location, the helpful and friendly and host and the period features of the house. The room had a window seat giving a lovely view across Oban Bay and out towards Kerrera Island and we spent hours watching the passing vessels etc from this seat.

Although we were aware of the fact that the room did not have en-suite and that the private bathroom was along the corridor, the facility was adjacent to another bedroom and I was concerned about disturbing others when using the bathroom during the night. Also, the very low and small corner wash hand basin in the bathroom is literally only useful for washing hands.

We were fortunate to meet up with one of the Staff when we arrived who offered us a larger room - if we were happy to pay a little extra - which we accepted and agreed to. The room was lovely with plenty of space, very clean and comfortable. We had a beautiful view over Oban Bay. The location was also within walking distance of Oban town. Parking space for our car.

There was no reception - our keys were left in a box just inside the entrance. If we hadn't met up with one of the Staff, we would have had difficulty finding our room.

Superb location with sea frontage and a 10 minute walk to town centre. We had a rear room as we booked the day before our arrival, it was spotless and roomy. We appreciated the shortbread and the instant add water porridge. Checkin was easy with key left in envelope as prearranged.I imagine a seaview room would be glorious.

Parking potentially an issue. It was for us as we couldn't get a spot. To be fair the owners tried to operate a system of leaving your phone number should you block others. Cost of street parking between 9am and 6pm is £1.20

Great location! We were able to walk to all the sites around Oban. We were pleased to find a 4-person room to accommodate our entire family.

There was no elevator and we were on the top floor which was a bit of an effort for some of our party. Would have liked the option for breakfast and our a lounge to get drinks in the evening. It looked like they had the facilities but weren't in use. We weren't able to get one of the 5 parking spots but found easy street parking (pay parking) nearby.

The location was really nice. It was a short 5 minute walk to restaurants and pubs. The hotel itself is unique and very well maintained. The rooms were nice sized, but like many boutique hotels in the UK, the bathrooms are small. As others have said, parking is a little unusual. Guests have to "double stack" their cars and leave their contact info in case another guest needs to get out of the car park. While not ideal.....it is much better than the other hotels we saw nearby that had ZERO parking on their facilities.....don't let this scare you away. There was also some great sitting areas where you could kick back and relax in front of a bay window overlooking the ocean. That was great!!!

The WiFi in our room was TERRIBLE!!!!!!! WiFi was passable in the other parts of the hotel, I think it was just our room. Soory, I can[t remember which room number we had.

The room we stayed in was beautiful, bright and spacious with a stunning view of the sea. Very comfortable! The staff made you feel at home and topped you up with irn bru and biccies each day it was fab!

The only downside was that the shower did not drain therefore we had to have rapid-fire showers in order for it to not leak out over into the bathroom which it did a couple of times. Other than that though it was a lovely room.

Wonderful room with unbeatable view of the sea. Breakfast is no longer provided at this guest house which was a disappointment but there are lots of places to get food in Oban. The bed was not very comfortable and the parking was a problem. It is off street parking but our car was blocked in for the entire 5 days we were there. There was no staff on site to greet us on arrival and our key was left in a basket just inside the front door. Very nice place but it lacked the personal touches we had expected.

No on site staff. Parking is off street but you get locked in.

Corriemar House was charming and clean, with its vintage decor, contactless check-in/out process, and convenient location. We stayed in the 4 poster room with an extra twin bed. It fit our family of 3 just fine for sleeping. There was a kettle in the room with some instant coffee and extra snacks and drinks which was a nice touch. The off-street parking was great because all the street parking in town was metered. We were able to leave the car there, walk to the pier, and take the ferry to the islands for a day. If you're looking for a quaint and hassle-free getaway with a touch of nostalgia, Corriemar House is worth considering.

The pillows were hard.

Although, the location was a 7 minute walk to the main town center, it was still a very minor obstacle to overcome. The bedroom was very clean and tidy with a view out to the bay. Great communication with the owner and addressed any issues I had.

Not having a (ensuite) bathroom in our room (#5) posed some challenges. Having to walk down the hall and use a key to open the door (late at night or early morning) and try to not make any noise.

The location was perfect. Just outside the busy city center yet close enough to walk to it. The lounge area overlooking the bay is beautiful. We also liked that there was a small ice machine which has been uncommon during our extended trip.

There is not enough parking for all vehicles without double parking and leaving keys with the host. We did not feel comfortable doing that with a rental car. We parked on the street after pay hours but had to move it or pay after 9:00am.
