Great location, within minutes to centre of town. Clean and tidy hotel although it needs a bit of decorating in areas. Sarah (General manager) was very helpful with any query or information required.

Heating is operated by electric radiator and when we switched on the plug it made a funny buzzing noise. Luckily it was warm enough in the room so didn't have to use it. Fire alarm went of in middle of the night. All residents evacuated but no staff member present. Only allowed back into the building when 1 resident rang the hotel doorbell to get attention and ask if everything was okay. Turns out the alarm set off by mistake due to night porter hoovering!!!! 10 minutes later it went off again.

Room was massive (no. 200 is the signature room). It was spotless, really clean hotel room compared to others I’ve been in. The bed was really comfortable - I believe it was king size. Great facilities, there’s actually a mini fridge which wasn’t listed as being there so we didn’t realise or would have used it. The location was good but Perth is not that big anyway so it’s easy to get places quite quickly. The front desk staff were really friendly. The check in and out process was easy. It was all topped off by a free electric charging port for my car (yes - free)!!

The door was a tad shaky and it was quite loud when people were in the corridor, but that was only momentary and we sleep with earplugs anyway so it was a quiet night!

The staff were very friendly, the room was well sized, clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and check in check out was simple and straight forward. The breakfast was standard buffet breakfast fayre and I must admit better quality sausage etc than I have had in some 4 star hotels I have stayed in.

The hotel is pretty well hidden away. It is in a housing area and actually pretty well placed, but driving to it seemed a bit of a rat run - clearly no fault of the hotel. It appears quite run down from the outside and is in fact a bit tired and in need of a major refurbishment. - Don't let this put you off though, the rooms are comfy enough and pretty well appointed even if tired.

The Parking, Accommodation and Facilities were all good. Breakfast was a hot buffet, which suited me fine. I think there were cereals and fruit too if that's your thing. The room was clean, the shower was good, and a hairdryer was provided. There was complimentary bottled water, as well as tea & coffee making facilities and a good checkout time of 11am.

There wasn't much to complain about. The TV reception wasn't good; I was panicking a bit, until I got it retuned at the last second for the Euro Final. If I was being pernickety, I could say that a small biscuit (in room) and filter coffee (breakfast) would have added value.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Any assistance we needed, the staff were there to help. The hotel is located close to the train station and high street with the walk being mostly flat ground. I also liked that a ramp was present for wheelchair users, however I'm unsure if wheelchair users can access hotel rooms. Overall, my partner and I enjoyed our stay here.

The only issue I had was with the lights in the room. I have sensory issues and the main light and bedside lights were too bright for us to use. If we were able to turn one bedside light on at a time, it would have been easier.

Was a bit apprehensive reading some.of the previous reviews when we booked The Lovat but actually couldn't' fault anything with the hotel, we had such a lovely stay over the two days, view from our room was beautiful and although some bits of the hotel/room are slightly dated (not all) it was clean and tidy and looks to be in the process od being done up. Never stayed in a hotel with such attentive staff with nothing being too much trouble. Staff really make the hotel, so well done! Wouldn't hesitate to rebook.

Not a dislike but a personal preference as someone who doesn't much like a cooked breakfast is maybe a choice of continental breakfast too, hubby loved his cooked breakfast though.

Let's see... The Lovat Hotel made my hall-of-fame list for many reasons. We were lucky enough to be granted the honeymoon suite. The room was enormous, tidy, beautiful, with really nice view, and the decoration was simply amazing, thanks to our favourite Sarah's touch. An exceptional personality with great taste, was really helpful and always available. The bar offers a great variety of drinks and there is also an 8-ball pool, where one may relax. All the above, combined with jazz music and our friend from Sri Lanka who had the night shift, made it quite an experience. We would also like to thank our morning Scottish-Spaniard friend. Everything was beyond our expectations and, should we find ourselves in the vicinity of Perth, we will come back for an even greater experience!!!

The parking lot was a liitle narrow for my liking but OK, we survived!

Staff were very accommodating

The property is advertised as having disabled facilities, however there are no lifts so we ended up being put into separate rooms. I didn’t say we needed any special requirements as my daughter can self transfer so we didn’t need a special room. I assumed the disabled facilities would mean we could access all rooms available. The ramp to the restaurant is very steep. The parking spaces couldn’t accommodate a wheelchair accessible vehicle, so we parked out on the street.

The location is close enough to Perth centre that it is possible to walk there. The staff are exceptionally nice, polite and helpful. The price includes a cooked breakfast or cereal if preferred. The train station is not far (£5 ride away). There is a bar open late and the in house food must be good (i didn't try it) as there was always a queue of just eat and deliveroo drivers waiting on orders to take out. (Normally they are at hotels to drop off so this was a first to see for me) There is hotel parking and a covered outside area for those that want to smoke or like the fresh Scottish air. Great place and would visit this hotel again if in the area.

The breakfast could be improved by offering black pudding. But was just fine without.

The room was neat and tidy, the beds were comfortable, it was a little old fashioned but didn't see that as a problem. The bathroom was just like a bathroom at home. The bar was open late and there was a restaurant within. Every staff member we encountered were really friendly which was lovely. The breakfast was fab.

We were only there for one night so didn't really encounter anything that we didn't like, maybe offering an additional cereal like Coco pops or frosties for the kids.
