Well, virtually everything! Friendly welcome, really clean room with coffee and tea making facilities. Super shower and a really comfortable bed. Nice bar area and an adequate dinner menu. Plenty of parking too. Overall, a super place for an overnight stay.

I had the feeling that the staff, who were friendly and tried hard, were a little stretched on Saturday evening. It took about 45 minutes for a simple starter to arrive, although the main course, which was delicious, followed quickly - perhaps too quickly as I hadn't finished my starter! And on the two occasions when I wanted a glass of wine I had to walk to the bar area in the absence of waiting staff. But this is pretty small stuff and I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner.

This was an on the spot booking, and I must say I wasn't disappointed. the welcome I received from the staff were excellent even though I booked it on the carpark. the facilities were perfect for an overnight stay. comfy bed, clean room, excellent food and friendly staff. I would highly recommend this motel to anyone either staying overnight or a few day it is conveniently located to major roads and has everything you need. the bonus is I parked my car right outside my door which is what you need after 4hrs on the road.

There is always something to improve on, but honestly not much here. they even provided sunshine as it was a beautiful sunny stay with the weather lately that's definitely a bonus. this seems real picky no hash browns on a full cooked breakfast. :-)

Lovely greeting at check in, as a motel we were directed which door to park in front of, super large carpark and covered walkways back to the reception. Reception clean, bright and welcoming with super seating area for chiling and reading the paper. Great bar and lounge area. Restaurant was spacious and lots of tables. Service was really quick and friendly. Very effiicient team. The room was spacious, comfy and toasty warm. Nicely decorated, desk area, tea and coffee facilities, the room was serviced daily and refreshed. The bathroom was bright, clean and spacious. Everything worked. Really can't fault it. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and had breakfast each morning. Not a vast menu but a good choice to include vegetarian options. Food was hot and tasty and well presented.

There isn't really anything to not like, it does exactly what it says on the tin, its a motel and has ample facilities for those needing a base to explore the local area, go walking or run an Ultra in the Yorkshire Wolds. Well located for plenty of local sights, you need a car to access everything but you wouldnt stay in a motel if you didn't have a car or bike.

The room and bathroom were very clean, and warm (a little too warm for me but fine for my spouse!). Having a bath was a welcome bonus. The property was easy to find. We were staying to see family in York, and all the cheaper hotels in York itself were either booked up or very expensive, so we were happy when we found this motel. We used the EV charger (not a rapid but adequate for our needs and a good price), which was fairly straightforward. The staff are all lovely and helpful. Breakfast was very easy, and my spouse appreciated having a cooked breakfast brought to him rather than a buffet.

Everything from start to finish was spot on. I was greeted at reception by a nice gentleman. He gave me my key to the room and asked if I would like an evening meal. I went to the bar and had a few shandy’s before retiring to the room. Coffee and tea facilities are in the room and the shower was amazing. Hot and powerful. Breakfast was very nice too. Overall my 1 night stay was excellent and very good value for money and I will definitely stay again should I need to.

There was nothing I didn’t like or to complain about, the room was very clean and welcoming. On leaving the lady who does the housekeeping stopped me and gave me my charger back which I carelessly left in the room. It is little touches like that what make the difference. So thank you

I loved that the accommodation was all ground floor self contained chalet style rooms. Breakfast was delicious and staff very friendly and helpful. Shower was probably the most powerful I’ve ever used! Would definitely stay here again

I think the price was a little more than we would like to have paid (I think £90-£100 would have been more suitable for a nights stay.)

We have stayed here before a few times. The facilities are both Spacious and clean. The staff are all helpful and accommodating. The breakfast is outstanding. The location is great we have family just down the road. When visiting york this is where we prefer to stay.

The only thing I didnt like about our room (room 8) was that in the bathroom was the toilet is right behind the bathroom door when it is opened it could have done with the door opening inward to the right so it opens against the wall. Having a child who just opens the door if i was on the loo he would have bounced the door off my knees. But that is just my opinion. Didnt affect our stay.

We were extremely impressed by the hotel and it exceeded our expectations. The operations manager ensured our room was ready early so we could check in prior to an event. Communication before our stay was excellent. Parking was excellent and directly outside our room! All staff we came across were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was perfect and great value for money. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom was great and included a tub and toiletries. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if visiting around the area.

This place is exceptional and the hosts, Michael and Julia are amazing. They will do everything possible to make your stay a pleasant one. The facilities are fantastic. Modern rooms with lovely bathrooms, good heating and very comfy beds. Tea and coffee provided in your room as well as having a quality breakfast included in the price. There is a bar on-site as well, with more than reasonable drinks pricing. Overall a brilliant place to stay. Thanks Michael and Julia.

Nothing negative to say about the Yorkway. It was terrific.

It was a lovely stay and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We chose to eat there the evening we stayed as we were tired and didn't want to venture out. The steak and chips was 5* The rooms were spacious, clean and had plenty of tea and coffee. And breakfast was delicious. I wouldn't definitely return and the price was great. We stayed as we were visiting the University of York's open day. Was only a 20 minute drive away.
