The accommodation fully met the expectation set by the description and photographs of simple accommodation, providing great value. What wasn’t expected was the warmth of the welcome, the kindness of the family running the guest house and the keenness to make our stay a pleasant one. Breakfast was spot on in size for us, with an English breakfast both mornings - despite us expecting continental breakfast to be served on at least one of those - and on both days we were invited to ask for more if we wanted it. The family even came to see us off - we couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome and valued in our stay.

The corner shower doors might be difficult for anyone of a larger size, as they didn’t open terribly wide for access. I also personally found the mattress a bit on the soft side for me.

The hotel is easy to find and not far from the high street and main centre so it is central to the area. The Breakfast was great and had plenty of options and as a not big breakfast person was happy with full English and cereal options. The staff are very polite and very friendly and made us feel very welcomed and able to be spoken to all-time while there. The room was fine and we were out for most of the time there only used it for sleeping and showers and didn't have any problems beds were comfortable and the room was clean.

The shower once during the holiday was hot and cold but after getting the settings right didn't have any problems so worked most of the holiday but seemed to be a bit funny in the mornings and worked fine on the nights.

I particularly liked how helpful the owner was at all times, and that there was a bathroom every two rooms. As I was the only one from those two rooms, the bathroom was all by myself. It also includes breakfast.

I think there could a bit more detailed cleaning and that beds could be a bit more comfy. Though breakfast seemed to be quite a large portion, there weren't any vegan options.

A warm friendly greeting and assistance to secure my bicycle and helped me with upstairs with my bike bags. The room was spacious and quiet and the bed was super comfortable and had soft, high thread count sheets. The heating in the room meant it was a cosy room on a cold night. Breakfast was lovely and generous. Great location just a short walk to shops and restaurants and 15 min walk to the Abbey ruins.

1.Shared bathroom and shower 2.Check in ...turned up at door at 21.30pm to check in....rung the bell no response. Rung the telephone till 22.00pm..Eventually a couple staying came to enter and told me Owner is resident so I ring the bell and not give up...owner came to door eventually and said they dont do late check in. I showed him my booking and information on booking app that check in is till 22.00 and he reluctantly let me in. However the rest of the visit was handled professionally.

Friendly, considerate staff; comfortable bed; room was quiet; nice breakfast included. Close to town centre with free parking!

Bathroom facilities could do with updating.

Good location (10 minute walk to train station), on-site parking. Check-in was easy. Good value for money. There was a shared bathroom, but I wanted somewhere at low cost for a single night and this fitted the bill exactly.

We needed to leave early, before breakfast. The owner / manager gentleman arranged for us to takeaway fruit. We took 2 bananas. He recommended us to take other fruits as well, which we did not as we were in a hurry to catch train. The gentleman had such a peaceful, kind face and demeanor. Just that 1 minute of interaction started a lovely day

Clean room, friendly hosts, close to local shops and eateries.

There's three floors so it's a bit of a trek if you're on the top floor. Shared shower room is a little basic and difficult to work out how to use the shower (but the host will help you if need be)

Great location, with only 15 mins walk from the station. The place is nicely decorated, and clean to a high standard. The host is friendly and always available when you need them. It’s a lovely family run guest house.

I hope there would be more bathroom supplies.
