Absolutely everything! We chose this hotel for our mini-moon after our wedding and I noted I was pregnant and the staff went above and beyond for us to have the best stay. We couldn’t have dreamt of a better place to celebrate. From before we arrived until we left, everyone was so attentive and lovely. We even got upgraded, as a cherry on top of the cake. The room was so comfortable, we slept like babies! And the food excellent, the croissants were so delicious I went for more (and I’m French, which means I know a good croissant!). Thank you so much again to everyone and we can’t wait to come back soon!
Nothing!

A very luxurious hotel in the middle of Royal Tunbridge Wells, what's more to wish? Car could be parked at an off-road parking at 2 minute walk. It was literally one minute walk to be in the cosy shop area, but still it was perfectly quiet in our room. The airconditioning was lovely, because it was rather sticky warm when we were there. The staff were very friendly. The price for the hotel room was the cheapest we had during our 14-day vacation, but it was the most luxurious of them all!
We did not take breakfast, we just went around the corner to get something at a local bakery, so no idea what it cost, but probably expensive, since it's a 4 star hotel :-) If there is something, I would say that the hotel is huge, and you feel a bit like a number. Nonetheless, the staff were very, very friendly!

Welcoming staff and well appointed common areas. Bar open even though we arrived very late so we could get a nightcap. Bed comfortable. Bathroom was excellent with loads of hot water for a relaxing bath. Breakfast was superb. If you stay, make sure you add breakfast. Arrived too late to try the brasserie unfortunately but we will stay again and give it a go. The absolute stand out item.. biscuits on the tea tray in the room. Something corporate owned hotels have decided to cut back on to save money but it makes the experience so much better munching on a ginger and chocolate cookie with your tea.
Our room overlooked a rear alley and the bins were emptied (or filled?) before 8am. Lots of noisy bottles going in or out.

Location couldn't be better for us - literally stepped out into Tunbridge Wells centre - what a lovely town. Paid additional charge for parking very short walk away, as no on-site parking. Ladies on reception friendly and helpful, and offered to come out to the car to collect our stuff from the kerbside so we wouldn't have to carry it all back from the parking area ourselves. Had a free upgrade of rooms. Stylish hotel, with a history - had originally been a boy's school. Particularly interested me because I'm a former teacher!! Nice breakfast area, sat by the window, good selection of food, no rush to vacate for anyone else needing a table.
No hook for bathrobes in ensuite, door to ensuite was heavy, and had an exceptionally strong magnetic lock. Didn't think floor in ensuite had been cleaned?

We were very pleased with our room which we had been upgraded and were delighted with, very quiet, and comfortable
Well I was abit disappointed with the continental breakfast, on the first day at breakfast I noticed some of the yoghurts were dated 28th September! Also all the other yoghurts were dated the 10th October which meant they were going to be out of date that same day. Also there was no marmalade on show only about 20 or so strawberry jams! However the waiter did manage to find me some marmalade on the three days we had breakfast. I actuallly found the breakfast poor value and disappointing

Staff were most helpful and friendly they went out of their way to help. The Rooms we had were not at the main hotel and had 5 floors no lift.We were upgraded to their main hotel with a lift and gave my friend a room with a walk-in shower.
We had no idea we had booked a room in the part of the hotel with no lift we were put on the 5th floor and my friend is disabled. The hotel staff says it happens all the time because it's not made clear enough by booking.com at the time of booking. Thankfully, they upgraded us to the main hotel

Lovely, friendly staff - very professional. Spotless well presented room. Very good breakfast choice and evening meals were also enjoyable. The hotel was also in an excellent location within the town.
Room windows had an opaque finish all over so it was impossible to see out. Quite claustrophobic. We would rather look out of clear windows, even if overlooked and not a very nice view. We would have liked our own choice to close the net curtains if we wished. This possibility should have been made clear upon booking. The music played in the hotel Bistro was a little too loud and extremely repetitive - not at all suitable for a relaxing meal but we appreciate that this is just a matter of taste and other guests may have enjoyed it.

Lovely hotel, just a little tricky to find. We will return to this hotel and stay a little longer.
The hotel is lovely however, two separate people said that the rooms are too small. I looked closely at the rooms and they are a good size. The problem is there is far too much furniture. In order to find the hairdryer or use the wardrobe you must first remove a chair. To sit at the desk you must move a chair and the seat from underneath the desk. It’s a very smart hotel and clearly well managed, so I’m hoping that the manager will go into the room and realise why the rooms are perceived as being so small.

The room was amazing, the bathroom even more so and the bed was really comfortable. The part of the hotel where my room was situated is in a quiet back street so it was very peaceful. There was an oak tree in front of the window but I love oak trees and consider this something of a bonus.
Parking! More of a Tunbridge Wells problem in general than specific to this hotel but finding a parking space is a pain. There are lots of streets around with 8am to 6pm restrictions so if you are arriving after six in the evening, it'll be less of an issue.

Smart room, spacious. Very comfortable bed. Good food at supper and at breakfast. Nice little lounge to sit in beside the bar. Reception staff very welcoming and tried to be helpful.
Our room was 205. On arrival the phone wasn't working, so we reported it to Reception, who had to wait for Telephone engineer to sort it - unfortunately didn't happen during our stay. Also, there was no Hotel information booklet in our Room, and we had a sleep-disturbed first night trying to sort out the air-conditioning ...so had to open the windows and then traffic noise disturbed us ... and no phone to get help from Reception. Couldn't win, it seemed. Breakfast was very good food, but only two staff meant service could be very slow.
