The room was very nice, quiet and with a very comfortable bed. All rooms have baths.

We stayed for two days. The non cooked breakfast was odd and different on both days i.e. on the second day there was fruit, a better selection of cereal, yoghurts (all of which were out of date) I asked for toast, but was presented with a bacon sandwich. We ate dinner on both nights and the food was delicious, but all puddings were lactose based and as I am intolerant I found that disappointing.

All the staff gave off a good vibe that you get when people are happy at their work. The rooms were spotless, and the food was exceptional, both dinner and breakfast.

Nothing - I've recommended it to a couple of motorcycling groups I'm part of and wouldn't do that if I had any reservations.

The fact that ended up paying a lot more for our 3 night stay by using Booking.com than I would have done if I had just gone straight to the hotel's own site. Very disappointing!! The room was showing its age in many ways eg extractor did not work in internal bathroom, television very old with the wrong remote, blind in the velux window (the only window) was very worn and difficult to get to function, corridor floors and fire doors very noisy.

Food and Bar were very good. The room was comfortable and clean . Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Wifi could have been better. Carpets were a bit tired but clean.

Room was wonderful, large, quiet and extremely comfortable. St Boswells is a very pretty village with good facilities.

There was a large golfing party staying at the same time as us which wasn't a problem but it did seem to leave the staff a bit stretched at breakfast time.

Great ambience .We loved the decor. Our room was quirky and comfortable .

The service in the restaurant was good to start with . When we had the main course, no one came to ask if we wanted another drink .When we eventually managed to catch someone's eye and order, they forgot to bring it .Service from middle to end of meal was unattentive.

We were part of a group all staying to attend a local event. Great that we all managed to get in, and then enjoy the excellent breakfast together in the morning. A clean, comfortable and convenient stay.

Our room was directly above the bar, where there were still a number of people after a Christmas party. The noise only stopped at 2am. We only got back from our do at 1am, so not a huge issue, but it could have been for others.

From the moment we arrived we felt extremely welcomed by Billy, Cat, Amy and Rory. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as pleasant as possible. The room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our trip. The breakfast was nice (we loved the eggs benedict) and the hotel lobby and bar are lovely. We have never felt such incredible hospitality and would return in a heartbeat if we were to visit Scotland again. Thanks everyone for a fantastic stay!

Lovely rooms with nice staff and in a good position for walking St Cuthbert's Way. A nice pub as well with great food.

No vegan options in the bar.

Perhaps I could've asked, had it meant much to me, but, I was there for 3 nights and the tea/coffee/biscuits were never replenished.
