The location is great, five minutes walk to the city, public transport, especially buses it is right in front of the hotel. Lovely furniture and friendly staff that are willing and ready to help out.

Though the hotel is newly refurbished, I think housekeeping manager if there's one, should check the cleanliness of the rooms as there were too dusty, e.g. the table where they put teas and coffees( very dusty and I had to wipe the top and the kettle). Lots of hair on the floor in the toilet and the room. I booked for a week but room service just changed the bed without vacuuming, I had to ask them to vacuum the room as there were also cobwebs between the bed and small table near the headboard. This is just a constructive criticism and I think the cleaning can be improved, otherwise hotel furniture's top notch.

Very happy with our room and en-suite. Pleasant staff. Good breakfast.

The spa facilities were only removed from booking.com platform after we asked where they were. On the roadside and in our room the hotel restaurant was advertising a fixed price menu. When we asked to see it the waiting staff were totally mystified! Lots of disappearing for ages to check. When I gave them the flyer which had been in our room they eventually crossed out a few items from the main menu for us to choose from but they then tried to charge the full prices anyway. Although there were several waiting staff, service for all tables was very slow and chaotic. At breakfast there didn’t seem to be enough staff! I will however say that we enjoyed the food.

Large clean room, good breakfast, great staff. Easy walk to the city centre, bit further to the cathedral but still doable. Nice Waitrose nearby. Certainly no issue with car parking at the hotel when we went.

Restaurant was virtually empty, no atmosphere and unfortunately it was too cold outside to venture out to eat. I suppose that's one of the problems of going out of season. Food was I suppose okay for the cost but the wine was overpriced in my opinion. Heating in the room was a bit strange, a big noisy box (? heat pump) under the window which you couldn't use with the curtains closed plus a separate oil filled radiator. Of course if you went out they automatically switched off so room was freezing on return. Not a problem for 95% of the year I appreciate.

Wonderfully refurbished character hotel in a great location...and with parking! The hotel interior has been beautifully designed and newly renovated with quality decor and fittings throughout. Our twin room was spacious and stylishly decorated. The bar, lounge and restaurant areas were very well done and provided different, elegant, linked spaces to relax. The staff were friendly and professional. We had particularly great service from Viktoria in the bar and restaurant. We were on a great value half board deal and had a fantastic dinner in the lovely dining room setting, the confit duck and shin of beef were both very good and followed by an outstanding pannacotta. Breakfast the next day was very good too, the full English from the A la carte choices was well cooked, and there were cereals, pastries, yoghurt, fruit etc on offer as well. It is a convenient, easy (less than 10min) walk into Market Place and the central shopping area and a couple minutes further to the Cathedral. Would definitely return and stay again.

It was annoying to have to pay £9 for the guest car parking on site but I have recently experienced this elsewhere, seems to be becoming the new norm sadly. I found the bed too soft for me, I am fussy about that. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

A very nice medium sized independent hotel well placed for exploring Salisbury.. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. My room was large and very comfortable and equipped with a smart tv. The public areas are modern in style with the well stocked bar being very attractive. The restaurant is quite plain in style and has a varied and modern menu. The quality of food and service was very good. Would certainly return and recomend

I have to be very picky to find something i didn't like, but..Charging for the carpark at £9 a day was a bit much Oh and only scrambled offered in the egg section of the breakfast menu (otherwise breakie was lovely)

Rooms and hotel were very clean and have been tastefully decorated. Location was excellent for us. We only stayed one night so didn’t get to truly experience the hotel and its facilities.

Paying for parking on site - was shocked with this!!!! One of the bed side tables was the luggage stand? No bottled water in the room or information sheet that there was an option for room service etc. No menus on table for breakfast, we thought it was buffet only and then overheard a guest request them as we were leaving. Buffet although good wasn’t kept topped up.. had to wait quite awhile for this to happen despite it not being very busy. The room were the buffet is was extremely warm, lots of us staying expressed this and had to change tables.

Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was clean and modern, and a smart TV in the room is always a bonus. Staff were really helpful whenever we had a request. Location is really great, a short walk from the train station. We were a little earlier arriving but the room was already ready. The bar area downstairs is very nice, as was breakfast in the morning.

The room was an 'executive double' but seemed fairly standard to me - though without comparing to other rooms it's hard to say. The price was reasonable as the hotel had a deal on at the time but at full price would probably have been considered a little expensive. There was no one in the bar downstairs who was able to make us a cocktail, but the gin and tonic we had instead was very nice. The view from the room was poor, though to be fair there's not much around to look at anyway.

The room was recently redecorated, nice calm atmosphere, large soft comfy bed with fluffy pillows and duvet, bathroom was amazing very spa like, fan supplied in the room for warm nights, large tv on the wall, wardrobes and cabinet drawers. Room was spotlessly clean, housekeeping came to ask if there was anything you need, breakfast was plentiful, full English, toast, cereal, tea, coffee, juices, fruit and yoghurt, all help yourself, amazing selection.

The one thing that could, and should be improved is the temperature of the breakfast it was delicious, but left us with a jippy tummy, I mentioned to my husband at breakfast that it was only warm.

Great location Had stayed before and was very impressed quite location . Near town centre and. close to Thruxton Race Circuit Plenty of interesting musemes to see in a 30 mile radius I left motor cycle gloves behind me in the room and when I got home to Ireland contacted the hotel and Chantelle had arranged to have them posted back to me the next day. Very impressed with her and the way she dealt with my problem Great place to stay bikes were safe. And the service was excellent I'll be back again next year . John
