Gorgeous room and terrace and overlooking the river. Very well maintained and beautiful surroundings.

The welcome by staff was disappointing. Didn’t like the ‘reception’ area which felt like you were interrupting their ‘office’. For the price, I would have liked more attention such as a ‘hello and welcome’ by the first members of staff we saw. The first one ignored us completely and the receptionist had a rather cold approach to us. The bar and waiting staff were always very friendly.

The beautiful location next to the River Avon with views of Salisbury Cathedral is simply stunning. Upon arrival, the cleanliness of not only the outdoor areas but also the Hotel itself was faultless. Because we arrived early, we booked in with Reception with our car reg and after being given a map and directions, we took a sedated 10 minute walk into City centre which took us through little lanes, cottages and past the Cathedral. We wiled away a few hours and lunch etc and got back to the Hotel The Receptionist was helpful, welcoming and took us to our room. Very happy indeed. Bright, spacious, spotless and everything you would want. I was celebrating my 60th with my husband and after relax and nice hot shower, got ready for late teatime to go out. Had our complimentary bar drink and was taken via complimentary shuttle car driven by the amazing Kevin. Had a great night, rang Anna on Reception and she organised collection by Kevin for return. Had a night cap in the bar, filled with Christmas party goers, they were all lovely and then went to bed. Made our way to breakfast which had an amazing choice and delicious too. Then we checked out. I must say, every member of staff was exceptional, happy, polite and helpful. I really can't wait to go back. They made my birthday one to remember ❣️

The only negative was the unit above the bed which made light noises during the night and the little blue light. I am quite a light sleeper and wish I knew I could have turned it off but now I know for NEXT TIME!!!!

We stayed for just the one night, the location was great for us also lovely to be able to sit in the garden late afternoon/evening for a drink or two which was very relaxing. Staff were very friendly and approachable passing the time of day with conversation or two. Breakfast filled us up setting us up for the trip back home.

The only downside and there was only one is that the air-conditioning unit has such a bright light when you switched all the light off for bed it was like leaving a reading lamp on ! I like to sleep in the dark not necessarily pitch black but dark.

room was very comfortable, slightly below the spec suggested by booking.com - that said it was extremely clean, quite, lovely views over the river, fantastic staff, great shuttle service - from the moment you enter the carpark you feel you've made a good choice. Reception is great, staff amazing. Rooms well decorated & clean, cleaners did a good job every day. Bar available 24/7 and you get a free drink! They provide a shuttle into the city and will pick you up until around 2250 - drivers are great as well. We genuinely loved staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Nothing. It's a lovely place and you'd be hard pushed and fickle to find fault. Even being on the outskirts of Salisbury, it's only 10-15 minutes comfortable walk into the centre. The cathedral is visible from the bar and 5 minutes walk away.

The room was spacious and very clean with a view over the river towards Salisbury cathedral (I saw an otter in the river). The internet connection worked well. All staff were very helpful and professional in their approach. The room was warm with good temperature control - pleasant. It was quiet, which was just what I wanted. Breakfast was buffet style and good. There is no restaurant, but there is a free shuttle service to Salisbury restaurants. I will consder this on my next visit. Sandwiches are available. The car park is spacious with a charging point for EVs. It is an easy walk into the town centre through the catherdral close.

Everything was good.

The Riverside is a newly-opened hotel on the outskirts of Salisbury. We enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay again. Staff were friendly. We received a token for a free drink and a discounted upgrade to a room looking across to the cathedral. Room was clean, bed was comfy. Bath was a boon, as was the free parking. We did not take the breakfast as there are cheaper options in the city. A shuttle into the centre was offered, but frankly it is only a 15-minute walk past the very tired Rose & Crown where we used to stay (and where you now have to pay for parking). Excellent value, although we wonder if our room rate was a loss leader for a new hotel and will eventually go up. One star is dropped for location, which may not suit those with mobility issues, and for the fact that laundry was all over the public areas when we checked out at 11am.

Nothing really.

A lovely riverside setting with cathedral views, with a walk across the meadows taking you into the centre of Salisbury. Our twin room was spacious with plenty of storage and very comfortable beds. Both continental and cooked breakfasts were available from the buffet, with a good range of tasty and quality produce. Stunning views from the terrace and garden to the river and the cathedral. The bar area was ideal for hot or cold drinks throughout the day. In the evenings a return shuttle bus service was available which made eating out in the Salisbury restaurants and pubs easy. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Definitely an ideal place to stay whilst visiting Salisbury.

Nothing!

The Riverside is a 10-minute walk from Salisbury Cathedral and the city centre. It is a fairly modern clean property with plenty of parking, some bays are equipped with EV charging facilities. The rooms are pleasantly decorated. The comfortable bed in my room was large with ample bedding and pillows. The room had sufficient electrical outlets for running devices, charging cell phones, etc. The bathroom was spacious and well-appointed. As for accessibility, there are many rooms on the ground floor. My room was down a small flight of stairs that could challenge anyone in a wheelchair so inform the property about your special needs when booking. Breakfast offers a good choice of cooked and continental options. My “Full English”, taken from the buffet, was plentiful and well-cooked. Only scrambled eggs are immediately available but other options can be provided on request. There is a restaurant and bar and the dining space offers good views across the water meadows to the Cathedral. Staff were very welcoming and helpful and my overall experience was very positive. I recommend this property without reservation.

Everything was more than acceptable.

Location very quiet, perfect for us, and beautiful. Bar was lovely. Staff friendly, room good size and nice to have a bath and shower. Lovely heated towel rail for nice warm towels

We paid for a riverside room thinking I could sit with my coffee looking over the river but the room window was up high (I think for privacy reasons as restaurant patio would overlook you in the summer), but could have saved myself the extra. In the summer you could sit outside at the bistro table set provided but not in the middle of winter. This was the only downside/disappointment

Hotel was first class. We had a superior king size over looking the river. Room was huge, bed was super comfy and the view was to die for. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were exceptional. The hotel should be rated 4 star. It’s on the outskirts of the city but a pleasant walk in .. only takes just over 10 minutes. Hotel provides a shuttle service in the evening We didn’t use this as we preferred to walk. I would definitely recommend
