I loved the aesthetic of the hotel. The decor was all 60s themed and done very tastefully, which gave the place some personality. Everything was perfectly clean and in good condition. But what really made the experience special was the hospitality. Steve and Karen made every effort to make sure we had everything we needed. They offered a personal touch that you just don't get in bigger hotels, but did so without being overly familiar or overbearing. They also helped to make our experience in Scarborough as enjoyable as possible by recommending some great places to eat. They even told us about a place nearby where we could see seals, which really made our trip. If we ever come back to Scarborough, we'll most definitely stay here again.

The Headlands was like a home from home. The atmosphere was relaxed and laid back and Steve and Karen were the best hosts. It felt like nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was five star and breakfast was superb. Overall one word - QUALITY. Thankyou for a wonderful stay.

Everything was good, first night had an uncomfortable sleep I could feel the springs in the mattress but had a word with owners and they very quickly changed mattress so second night had a perfect sleep, breakfast and room very good. Would recommend to anyone, lovely couple running it.

The room was clean, recently refurbished and modern. The bar area was welcoming and creatively decorated. The breakfast was well-cooked, value for money and professionally presented. The location was quiet, close to the sea front, with parking on site and in the local streets.

I stayed here with my 14 year old son we found it to be Immaculatly clean with attention to detail. Even came round the bar with a box of chocolates for the residents. Breakfast was superb, gave my son an extra sausage at breakfast as the football team he supports lost the night before! 😂 The hosts very welcoming and relaxed. The bar was well stocked . Parking was free and on site. Location for us was brilliant,We were in a quiet residential street, however all the attraction are within easy reach it's just a five minutes walk to Alpamare swimming pool. There was a brewers fayre style pub serving fairly priced meals next to alpamare with a free pool table, the bus service from Alpamare to the South Bay for £8 return for and Adult and child. Peasom Park was around 5 minutes walk too. The hotel bar serves snacks on an evening although we didn't have any. Overall I would recommend The Headlands. We will be returning.

A fabulous hotel in a lovley peaceful location. We were warmly welcomed by Steve on arrival, our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. At breakfast the options were plentiful and the cooked option was beautifully done with quality locally provided ingriedents. There is a lovley bar area where Steve and his lovley wife Karen not only serve guests but actually spent time with us, they are very knowledgable of the local area and were very helpful to us in getting around and even which buses to get for our trip to Whitby one day. Steve and Karen are wonderful hosts running a beautiful hotel I can't reccomend it highly enough for anyone visiting the area. Thank you for a lovley stay.

Karen and Steve run a very welcoming hotel, with excellent facilities - we were made to feel very welcome and there was nothing that was not superb. It was our first stay here, but won't be our last. Many thanks, Chris and Jo Hulme

Nothing to fault.

Once in a while you stumble across something truly exceptional, the Headlands Hotel is one of those moments. We cannot fault anything about the hotel facilies, food and its position in town. The owners Steve and Karen are the perfect hosts and made us feel like part of their family. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and we are looking forward to an early return visit.👍😃

There is nothing to dislike about this hotel.

The owners Steve and Karen have done a great job renovating the Hotel, and are both helpful and informative. Our room was fresh and spacious with the bathroom having both a bath and a walk in shower. The breakfast is excellent using locally sourced produce. Overall definitely a cut above the usual seaside accommodation offerings
