This is a delightful character hotel with lots of original features right in the heart of the pretty village of Somerton which had been sympathetically decorated and surprisingly spacious with a courtyard garden. Although a busy village pub, our room was surprisingly quiet.

We would have liked to have seen more choice in the buffet table for breakfast such as a selection of meat and cheeses and a bowl of fruit salad. However, the cooked breakfast was good with quality local produce and the room had little extras like little bottles of milk and quality tea selection and a coffee machine. The staff were also attentive and thoughtful. The bed was a good size but it was very firm and it could have had the option of a mattress topper.

Really enjoyed our stay. The staff were wonderful, the room (3) was spacious and spectacular. Lovely views of the hart and the town square. The menu is varied although we were a pretty big party so all had pizza. These were very well cooked. There is also a good selection of ales, ciders and other drinks in the bar. Would definitely stay again in the future.

Nothing to dislike. Free parking is a short walk from the pub.

Lovely room, very spacious and well thought out. We had our son with us and there was still lots of room. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and we ate in the pub for our evening meals for which the menu choices were impressive and the food was of an excellent standard. Would definitely recommend and we will be visiting again.

We have been here before so knew that it was very good. Friendly, efficient staff who looked after us well. We didn't eat dinner here but breakfast was extremely good and most parts of the restaurant were dog friendly. The parking outside can catch you out so make sure that you are parked in the free spots (the staff will point them out if you ask).

Disabled access to restaurant. Delicious food that even my mother in law finished Free room upgrade. Vegan, natural toiletries by a company whose profits go to respite care. Real ale at the nearby Etsome arms, one block away. Art gallery opposite.

Fabulous hotel/pub in heart of lovely old Somerset town. Helpful, attentive and friendly staff. Comfortable and airy bedroom, with super bed and spotlessly clean bathroom. Superb dinner cooked with great originality and flair, Nothing and excellent breakfast made for a great one night stopover Wished we could have stayed for longer. Definitely will next time. The White Hart ticks all the boxes and comes comes highly recommended.

The welcome for my little dog. Nothing was too much trouble. Adjustments to menu to accommodate my requirements, delicious food. They even provided room service - boiled chicken for my dog as I needed it to get her to take her medications. Lovely hotel and staff.

Fabulous accommodation, clean, warm beautifully decorated with everything you could need in the room. Staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was delicious and the best we’ve had in a long time. We highly recommend the White Hart it’s 10/10!

Parking was limited in the area but we managed okay. It’s really not a complaint.

Although it was chilly outside the room was warm and comfortable, a very nice bed and a great shower, the Resturant was very nice with good quality food at a reasonable price.

The only thing I didn’t like was that I only stayed one night..!!! I would have liked more.

One of the most expensive items on the menu (300gr rump steak) really was just a slab of meat with 1/2 a tomato on top, no imagination.
