Lovely setting even though off a main road. Set up for weddings. Very well maintained both inside and out. Old buildings but nicely updated . Good shower and bathroom although in an old building. Very characterful. Staff extremely nice and friendly without overdoing it. Room Very warm, bed Very comfy, extremely clean.

Difficult to turn onto main road at times because of traffic , perhaps widen entrance or cut back plants etc so we can see .

Staff were all excellent and very helpful. Hotel was lovely, as was the cat we met in the grounds. Views to the front and rear of the property were very pretty. Food was generally nice; if you like fish, try the Goan curry. Bed very comfortable. Garden and courtyard beautiful.

Bath tap broken. Shame the hotel didn't have more customers as it deserves to have more guests. Great for us, though!

Location was great for the Fleet Air Arm Museum, which was the main reason for visiting the area. Food was very nice at the hotel, breakfast was great even though it was a little pricey. Very friendly staff, from checking in to check out. Full marks to the receptionist on duty at check out who gave us an alternative route back to the M5 saved miles of driving, well done that girl. Beautiful old manor house with flagstone floors . Would recommend this hotel for a stay in Ilchester and would stay again without hesitation.

Old building, full of character and nicely decorated. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was good, especially the artisan bread.

Evening service in the restaurant could have been better. May have been a one-off as they had staff in training, but table booked for 7pm, and starters appearing at 8:30. This was really disappointing as two of our party had work- related appointments to get to.

The staff were lovely, breakfast was good I got what I asked for and the location was perfect I was attending a ceremony for my brother at the navy base.

The lay out of the room. The mirror had no table placed near it and the pugs were in awkward places for charging my phone and plugging in my hair curlers. I did move a table to where the mirror was. Also some quiet music in the breakfast room would be good it was a bit awkward listening to everyone clinking their knives and forks.

The whole family feel is great, the staff are friendly, they have great facilities for disabled people, walk in shower, good sure bathroom, this is our second visit and will be back again soon,

The location is perfect our family live about ten minutes away, the parking is perfect, and it is a lovely village to visit,

We had the most friendly, warm & helpful welcome from the lady on Reception. She made great chat about where we’d been & made recommendations for dinner & what to do & where to coffee in Sherborne. Our bedroom was super cosy & quiet & clean & the bed was very comfy. We’d highly recommend

The staff were very friendly and greeted us with a smile, offered to carry our bags and showed us to our room. The bar, dinner and breakfast were excellent. We would stay there again, and probably would when next Journeying to Cornwall.

I can’t thing of anything that we didn’t like.

The hotel is clearly kept up to standard regardless of the day of the week or time of the year. I have stayed over in Yeovil for work a number of times in a different hotels and this was by far the most friendly, the most comfortable and the best value for money.

I couldn't get the shower to work.

Stayed for 3 nights, room was comfortable, all staff were helpful and friendly. Good car park. Breakfast was freshly cooked after ordering, we ate in the restaurant for 2 nights , it was the same menu both nights and there was plenty of choice. As the restaurant is not open on Sunday evening when we arrived we went to a very nice Italian 5 minutes walk away. Good location to travel around Somerset, close to the Fleet Air Arm Museum and Haynes Motor Museum. We travelled to Cheddar Gorge (via Glastonbury) and also went to Weymouth, both less than 1 hour drive. Overall a good hotel and would recommend
