Great quiet location. Enjoyed breakfast in room, supplied daily. Nice to have fresh milk. There's a lot in the room - iron, ironing board, fan, big TV, hairdryer which you don't always get in a pub.

The bathroom light's movement sensor is fine, but not during the night; it disturbs the sleep. We bought sleeping eye-masks from the Savers in Thornbury a few miles away, which solved the problem. It dims to green anyway, which is ample at night. The fan is also on the movement sensor but can be switched off easily. Shower cubicle in our room was on the small side, but that's nit-picking.

Very impressive room which looked fairly new. Had everything I needed for 3 day stay. Selection of cereals and toast with butter and preserves in room.replenished daily. Modern bathroom with automatic lighting. Towels changed daily.

Shown room but not given any information e.g that breakfast items were in a cupboard or how to work coffee machine. Several TV programmes were in Welsh. Internet did not work on Tablet. Had to go outside to the Pub to ask questions which bar staff could not answer. Should be given choice about changing towels daily to help the environment

quiet and relaxing, great food in the pub, excellent facilities, comfortable big bed, modern bathroom, good value, breakfast was in our room and a good selection of cereals and jams, choice of yoghurts, coffee machine was a bonus.

only tiny thing for us was the automatic bright light in the bathroom - excellent light for seeing but very bright if visiting the bathroom in the early hours! The green glow from the bathroom light at night was a bit bright even with the bathroom door closed

The room was great with everything you needed and some nice little touches like still and sparkling water, a jar of traditional sweets, coffee maker and some shortbread biscuits, iron and ironing board etc. The bed was really comfy and the room was very quiet. The pub was a lovely traditional country pub with open fire. The staff were friendly and food was great. Breakfast in your room was perfectly adequate, with cereal, home made muesli, toast and jams, orange juice and yoghurt. A lovely walk opposite the pub down to the river Severn.

Could not find fault everything was good and I would highly recommend. The food and drink was very reasonably priced as was the room for the night.

Nice large room with charming views. Temperature was just right and the bed was super comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities were excellent with plenty of fresh milk provided. Having continental breakfast provided already in the room was novel but suited my needs just fine.

The bathroom light is on a timer rather than a traditional switch so didn't turn off straight away when you were going to bed but I'm really nit-picking here. I highly recommend the place if you want somewhere quiet, comfortable and good value for money.

We liked everything about this little place - its location in a small unspoilt village, its ambience and the standard of service and facilities. It's relatively easy to get to from the motorway and is close to Bristol. An evening walk from the pub door alongside the river is a pleasant experience and an opportunity to work up an appetite for the excellent food on offer.

Nothing really. It wasn't explained on our arrival that breakfast would be provided in our room which might have saved us some embarrassment but that's a minor observation and possibly we could have made a more thorough exploration of our room first!

Very friendly staff willing to provide a welcome bowl of soup at lunchtime even though we'd arrived just as the kitchen closed. The rooms, which we could check into early, as they were up separate stairs. They were clean, light and well equipped with tea coffee, milk and fruit juices as the breakfast was provided for in the room.

We parked our bikes in the smoking shelter, a separate covered area might work better.

Breakfast was all in the fridge and cupboard. Toast with a good selection of jams, spreads and fresh butter. Fresh milk with a choice of cereals. Fruit juice. Very good coffee machine with pods and a selection of teas/powdered coffee. All appliances top rate .... Room had everything and great shower too. Very impressed. Pub was lovely too with fire, good food and friendly service. Really very good place to stay and glad we have found.

Lovely room, bright and airy with all the expected amenities plus a coffee maker, fridge and toaster. Loved the DIY breakfast provided and the later than usual check out.

The light in the bathroom was on a sensor and didn't go off if the door wasn't closed properly, or it went off if you were in the bathroom with the door closed.

Welcome, bedroom, bathroom, food and private entrance excellent. Stop over to break holiday journey home and what a super choice. The young staff are very good. The good breakfast is provided in the bedroom and is good for an early start.

The room price just a touch expensive possibly a small reduction advised.
