Beautiful place to stay Staff were friendly , very polite, and very accommodating they did everything to make sure we were comfortable and not disturbed We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back Real value for money and the food was absolutely amazing and beautifully presented. we really enjoyed our time in the bar after our dinner I've seen reviews complaining about the cleaning You meed need to consider you're staying in a Beautiful building that's over 300 years old and the staff are incredibly busy we found the room to be absolutely fine was it spotless no but it I've stayed a far more expensive hotels with far more staff that haven't been as clean
Nothing we didn't like about our stay Maybe the rooms could be slightly updated but to be honest for what they charge they are more than adequate

The Mill house Inn was super cosy, really pretty. The staff was amazing, really accommodating for us and our 2 dogs. Really welcoming and friendly. The room was clean, the shower was lovely, and the breakfast was amazing! Also the live band for NYE was very good!
The location was lovely, despite the weather being miserable! The beach was not accessible because of the waves and wind but we still enjoyed it and I bet in summer this place is absolutely stunning!

I loved the quirkiness and character of the building! Lovely breakfast of fresh local produce. Friendly staff. Nice and quiet of an evening. Very close to Tintagel and highly reccomend watching the sunset at Trebarwith Strand which is 2min drive down the lane from Millhouse, absolutely stunning!
Not a 'not like' just how it is, but worth mentioning, no shop in walking distance and the surrounding roads are very narrow (some steep) yet this all adds to the character. Didn't affect us as we came prepared with snacks and everything we needed for the room and our stay and were happy to stay put once the sun had gone down. I'd definitely stay again 😊

Way back at the beginning of the year, I asked the ways in which I might get to Port Isaac. Deciding to book this hotel was contingent upon my being able to visit Port Isaac. Taxi was apparently the best (and only) way to get there. Upon arrival, I was told no taxis were available and that I "should have booked months ago." Had I been told this, months ago, I would have done so. I was bitterly disappointed that I was unable to visit Port Isaac. And extremely angry that I had not been given the information when I needed it. You might want to furnish this to future guests. I booked this hotel on the premise that I could get a taxi. I wasted a lot of time and money, not to mention a lot of stress involved trying to get to your hotel in the first place.
Letting guests know up-front about the need to book ahead for travel needs. Especially as I specifically stated the desire to visit Port Isaac.

The Mill House is in a delightful spot in a wooded valley above a rocky sandy cove. We booked The Cottage, a lovely hideaway by the mill stream, and an attic room in the main building. Both were delightful. The staff were helpful, going out of their way to meet the particular dietary and health needs of our family.
The bed was not the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in.

Low price but beautiful building in stunning location, had a superb large room with beams and a sofa, huge tv and comfortable tub chair. The ensuite was huge and down some steps at the end of the room so it felt like we had a suite. All the staff were friendly and efficient. Weather was beautiful too 😄
There was nothing which detracted from the trip.

Breakfast was excellent providing a good selection of options. We also had our evening meals in the restaurant, there was a good choice and what we had was very good. The location was ideal being half a mile from the coast path which allowed use to go on a couple of circular walks using the coastal path and returning over footpaths or roads.
We felt that some of the decoration was a bit tired and it could do with a lick of paint, albeit we recognise the difficulty that been experienced by the hospitality sector post the worst of the pandemic.

The staff were brilliant. Breakfast was great every day. And the food we had at night was also great On the whole was a great stay
A few minor things such as a squeaky bed and a full clear window right next to the toilet so the blind has to be drawn everytime the bathroom was used. Just think the rooms need a little TLC to freshen them up. The shower head did need cleaning There was a loose board in the bathroom and the carpet was wearing thin where you can feel the carpet grippers if walking barefoot.

Very reasonably priced, ideally situated in beautiful surroundings. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Some noise was to be expected staying in an Inn but it went quiet earlier than expected. Bed was comfy and all the facilities we required were available. The chef was more than happy to cook up a vegan dinner option - we had arrived on a Thursday, which was steak night. There were also vegan/veggie cooked breakfast options as well as a selection of cereals, fruit and fruit juices. A quirky place to stay; would recommend.
There was nothing we didn't like but if you don't have a car you need to be prepared to get taxis as the Mill House is very remote.

Friendly staff, we booked Room last minute but everything sorted when we arrived and good communication on booking. Able to also book an evening meal with a great menu choice (partner said the Gambas starter he had was probably one of the best he's ever had!). Breakfast was included in price and was also amazing, lots of choices, staff checking you had enough of everything and pleasant surroundings with enough space that you're not on top of other people while eating. Thank you.
Light came in under our bedroom door, which didn't keep me awake, but did my partner (we solved it by putting a towel along bottom of door), but maybe something to look at in the future (although the inn is quirky so just nothing is straight which adds to character and is probably the reason for door😄 which you wouldn't want to change).
