breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL. You could tell that the produce was high quality and was great to hear that it was locally sourced :) We had the most amazing time at the palms and Lynn and Scott were fabulous hosts - nothing was too much trouble for them. Delphi our dog was so welcomed (and spoilt rotten! lol) and all the small touches made our stay one to remember. Beds were super comfy and room spotlessly clean! lovely touches with the biscuits and tea/ coffee/hot chocolate in the rooms and also the bar downstairs was really cosy We are already looking at dates to return in a few months time and this is the only place in Devon that we will stay in going forward.

the only thing we didn't like was that we had to leave so soon! :(

Exceptional hosts in the owners, Scott and Lynn. From their kind offer of a pick up from Torquay station to the care and thought they put into their superb breakfasts, The Babbacombe Palms is a wonderful guest house. The rooms are impeccably clean, with attractive, fresh, contemporary decoration. And finally, the location, just a few minutes from the glorious Babbacombe Downs, make it an excellent choice for travellers in the area.

We turned up earlier but our host (lynne) did not mind at all. I thought it was all very cosy from the breakfast room to the bar and then the bedroom. One good thing was the breakfast tick list. Basically, you pre-order your brekkie and time slot and.... tah dah. Our room was very clean and thank god there were biccies to go with the tea in the morning.

I will not un-necessarily nit pick. If I have any comments, I would direct them straight to the host.

Lyn and Scott are so welcoming... Everything you need is there for a perfect stay.. Rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable.. Breakfast was 10/10 really kept you going all day.. Couldn't fault anything and will certainly be going back

The hosts were marvellous, very friendly and helpful. Location could not have been better, just a few minutes walk to the Cliff Railway down to Oddicombe beach. Breakfast was delicious. The weather :)

Our room was smaller than we expected and are used to (for the price), and rather old-fashioned. The shower/toilet had a sliding door which didn't seem to fit properly. The units in the room were very old fashioned, and the drawers did not have stops on them so if you were not careful, you could pull the drawers completely out of the unit. Our room was in the basement which you needed to go down a steep staircase to get to.

Everything about the stay, you were made welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was one of the best we've had. The poached eggs were amazing, as was the fresh fruit salad, we will definitely be returning.

Everything was good, we couldn't fault anything, from start to finish the stay was wonderful and we were made so welcome.

We found Lynn and Scott very friendly, helpful and a delight actually, we also enjoyed meeting Betty and, poppie the choco lab. The breakfast was delicious, especially the mushrooms and coffee. The location was spot on, and parking wasn't an issue at all. The downs are stunning.

The beds are a little hard, but that is typically down to our preference.

The room.was very comfortable a bit on the smaller size but clean & well decorated. The hosts Scott and Lynn were very pleasant. The beakfast room was well spaced between tables and a good array of fruits cereals etc. The cooked breakfast was excellant extremely good produce and the scrambled eggs were lovely. Would stay again.

This is a lovely B&B on a side road. Scott and Lynn were really helpful and and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The room was nice and was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast gives a very good varied menu, we were contacted to ask if we had any special dietary requirements or allergies, full English was my choice and was really nice having been freshly made. Scott and Lynn gave us lots of information about the area and had some good suggestions of places to visit we know the area quite well but Lynn told us of a few places we didn’t know about, maybe we can try them next time as time ran out. The B&B is ideally situated for Babbacome theatre and some nice pubs for a nice meal. Babbacome Palms is also on bus routes, we got to try No 22, £2.20 to Torquay and buses every 20 mins, but that bus goes to lots of other places too. Nothing was too much trouble, if we wanted to get take away (maybe from famous chip shop up the road) and bring it in they offered to set a table for us. Babbacome is a lovely place with stunning views especially in the evening and a nice green that’s perfect for a picnic, just two mins walk away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Scott & Lynne were so welcoming. Our room was lovely - spotlessly clean and warm. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing! The location was perfect for exploring the area.
