Good location, close to the centre of town and next to a pleasant park. Nicely decorated, clean room with tea and coffee making facilities.
Access to the room is via a keypad on the door and you are given the code via text on the day which is fine but the code is 7 digits long so not easy to remember. It becomes tedious when you've returned to the room a number of times and had to enter the code every time. I've been to other hotels that have a code which you enter once to release a keycard which you can then just offer up to the door lock to unlock it and drop the keycard into a box when you leave - much better.

Our room was in fact a small suite, with bedroom, walk-in bathroom and small lounge with a fridge and kettle. All of this was very comfortable and clean. The hotel is well-situated, only a ten minute walk to the centre of town.
"What didn't I like" is not really the most appropriate title for this, however, it was a bit impersonal because there isn't any staff, no reception, etc. Before you arrive you get a text with the code to your room. The text told us that the code was active until 12.00 noon the following day. However, we wanted to use the toilet at 11.00 the following day and the code had already been changed. Not a big issue. The bathroom is lovely; very big but the plug in the sink doesn't work and you need a week's course in how to use the shower! We wasted so much water trying to work it out and waiting for the hot water to come through.

Location is great! Very quiet, beautiful park nearby, away from any traffic. Only a few minutes walk to shops and places to eat. Room was spacious, beautiful, we had everything we needed. Free parking and WiFi is a bonus!
On the day we arrived the restaurant was closed and there was no staff at all. But I had all information in text message, so I managed to find entrance, my room and way to get in the room. It's not something I didn't like it's more like complications.

The place was like a small apartment, in through the door into a sitting room with two settees, two chairs, tea and coffee making and a hidden fridge. Lovely view over the park. Then into the bedroom with a walk in wet room attached.
The glass door on the wet room, going to the loo at night meant not putting the light on because it would wake my husband. Fantastic shower, but the run of the water was wrong and if not careful would go out the door into the bedroom.

Conveniently located for town centre. Good communication with access details provided via text message.
Bathroom door was sliding glass and wasn’t completely obscured. Bathroom light worked off the same circuit as bedroom light. Elements of work and finish appeared very DIY, e.g. flexi hoses coming out of the floor to feed radiator.

Breakfast not served but I was aware of this. However, the dinner menu was superb ! Best Thai food I have ever had. The room was basic but adequate, warm and very clean. For the cost the room was excellent. The staff were fantastic and Bella - the waitress - was something else !!
Leaving !! Will be back for more of the food.

Well suited for Whitchurch town / wedding venues nearby Comfortable room
En-suite bathroom for our room (and only our room, No.3 I think?) was up a near vertical ladder - not suitable for elderly, infirm, children, and not if you're getting a taxi back from a wedding in the early hours if drink may have been taken!! We managed, but this limitation was not spoken to us prior to the stay....

Small,quiet and what we wanted
There’s nothing I didn’t like, what needs to be improved is the disability access, which is only available on the ground floor, this needs to be explained a little more in the website The upper level rooms have no lift so if you struggle with stairs you will find it a little of a struggle. All in all a lovely place to stay.

The staff were friendly and extremely welcoming. We ate in the restaurant and they understood my husband's need for a gluten free meal as he is coeliac. The food was fantastic. We asked for extra milk in the room and we were offered fresh milk it we preferred.
Nothing.

The hotel was very comfortable. We had a sitting area with a mini fridge and tea making facilities and bedroom with TV. Very comfortable bed and had a good night sleep. The location was near the town centre and about a 30 minute walk to the train station. The hotel was quiet and there was a park nearby.
The only thing that I didn't like was the shower. It was a walk in shower but there was no screen, so when you put on the shower the water was going everywhere which could prove dangerous especially as the toilet was in that position also and the floor was wet and slippery until it dried out. There was a sliding door to the shower room which could only be closed from the inside so you could see the toilet and wash hand basin and the wet floor when you were in the bedroom . Metal steps going up to the room, could prove to be a hazzard if steps became wet.
