The hotel is beautiful and a great location to walk down to Windermere and the breakfast was great

We were very unlucky about the room we was situated within. We were in room 210 which is right next to the stairs so all night was kept up by noise of people going up and down the stairs or saying good night at the section our door was. It was so loud we could barely sleep as kept getting woken up. Also, there was two receptionists, the guy in particular came across very abrupt.

Great location. Breakfast very good. All staff very friendly. Rooms nice and great shower. Able to leave car in carpark if going out for walk on last morning.

Room was really warm even though radiator wasn't on. Was fine though just had to have window open a bit. Not a complaint at all.

We travel a lot so use to staying in b&b . We both thought that there was no atmosphere to the place. Staff very stiff and uncomfortable. Almost like they were scared to move or talk . Staff should be apart of the atmosphere it makes the guests feel welcome and relaxed.we didn't stay in the hotel to relax. And that's not really like us 😕. I think this has a lot to do with the man in charge 🤔. I'm not putting a negative about him because the hotel is beautiful. But he needs to relax and make his Staff happy to be there

I liked everything. The location overlooking Lake Windermere is fantastic, the Lake can be seen from several rooms, the restaurant and terrace, which is one of the best spots (of anywhere I know) for an evening drink watching the sun set behind the Windermere mountains. Decor throughout is clean, modern with a chic feel - very well done. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also it is a 5 minute walk into Bowness which adds to the already great location, so evening meals, drinks and lake walks without the hassle of taking the car really makes a perfect location. Great hotel thoroughly recommended.

Really nice hotel.in a fantastic location, only let down by a couple of small things. Breakfast starts way too late at 8:30am, for walkers we need to get going early, so a 7am breakfast start would be much better. Secondly, I don't know much can be done as an old building, is the lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms, they can get quite hot and stuffy.

Lovely refurbished dining area. Fantastic buffet breakfast, loads of choice and kept well stocked. Staff well organised. Room was comfortable with a great walk in shower. This too had been refurbished since our last stay. Great receptionist, who was very helpful. Location great for Bowness and Windermere. Plenty of parking..... if people park correctly.

Bar area lacked atmosphere and was cold. Although room was comfortable it just lacked a few touches to make it perfect. Some of furniture at bit worn and dated. Our room had an ironing board, but stored in Wardrobe with luggage tressel taking up all the room. Noisy neighbours who like slamming the room doors, just don't understand why they do it.

The New Rum Nicky Kitchen was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed all the meals, both hot and cold. We especially liked the new coffee machine given us more options. We liked the flexibility of buffet and ordering as well. The ambience is just stunning compared to our last visit in 2023 summer. We also loved the new gym. We got the quiet woom we wanted. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Craig Manor Hotel to our family and friends. We're coming back soon. Brilliant!

My husband is a bit tall and the room we got had slanting ceiling, so he struggled to stand upright over the sink, and bumped his head a few times. Otherwise the comfort was excellent.

The location was perfect, only a 5 minute walk if that into Bowness, the restaurant also had a stunning view of the mountains and Lake Windermere. The room was a good size and in a great location, ideal for two people on a long weekend away, there was also a kettle with tea which I very much appreciated. The breakfast was delicious, a nice buffet with plenty of choice and there was still enough left if you went down towards the end of the service. The staff were very friendly on arrival.

The room we stayed in was very warm, unfortunately we weren’t able to turn the towel radiator off in the small bathroom which meant it got quite warm in there and travelled out into the main area. Luckily we were able to open the windows and there was a fan provided which cooled it down a little. The shower was almost too small, I feel like it could have been slightly larger as both me and my partner banged our elbows multiple times when turning or trying to wash your hair.

Great location just a few minutes walk in to the town. Staff were all very friendly and helpful especially in arrival explaining all the facilities. The over atmosphere and cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. The room was very modern but did take away from the historical architecture of the hotel, the bathroom had a brilliant shower. The restaurant where breakfast was served was nice and open pland, you had impressive views across to the lake, the food at breakfast was delicious with a great choice of food.

Can't really say I didn't like anything, only downside I could say is the amount of stairs that might make this hotel a little difficult for someone with mobility issues.

Excellent bathroom/shower great to see the safety feature on the window,no worries about leaving it open.spacious room that included iron & board ,hairdryer,, & a fan ( which we used alot as the room was very warm.).bed was comfy,towels fluffy excellent quality toiletries.tv was a good quality phillips & easy to use.great for the news first thing.huge wardrobe & hangers.blackout curtains.light switches at the side of the bed that controlled the main light & the lights over the bed.excellent tea & coffee facilities.breakfast room amazing fantastic views through the panoramic windows in the huge dining room outdoor & indoor seating.excellent choice of food hot & cold, plenty of refreshments on offer hot & cold.honestly thee best dining room we have experienced in the Lakes,beautifully set out with very attentive staff.plenty of car parking situated behind the hotel.definetely return next time in the Lakes.this is a 10 out of 10 property beautifully situated just a short 5 minute walk down to shops & restaurants.

Lighting was a little dim.some wallpaper (corners) coming away from wall.these are minor niggles that in no way spoilt our stay.just a heads up to management.

The location is perfect. It's walkable both from Windermere and to (from) Bowness (even though the area is quite hilly, but could do with a bit of exercise), or there's a bus stop in front of the hotel and the buses go to both Bowness pier and to Windermere train station. The breakfast was superb! One of the best Full English I've had in a very long time :-). The personnel was super friendly and helpful. I felt very welcome and taken care of. The room was cosy, clean, and in that comfy bed I slept like a baby. It was a bit chilly in the room, though, but that's how it goes in England in general, so next time I'll pack warmer home clothes. Even though the duvet was very warm, so I didn't feel cold at night at all.
