We are traveling cross country on a motorcycle, staying in hotels along the way, so we look for affordable sleeping conditions...hate spending big bucks to literally sleep for 8 hours. For a 2-star hotel I'm giving the KC Motel 4.5 stars. Price is on point, the rooms are clean, the bed was super comfy and a bonus point for the soft, but not-too-soft pillows. The shower pressure was excellent!! The staff is friendly and helpful. We had a great night's sleep. My only ding to the experience was the breakfast... it's understandable, being a small hotel, not wanting to have an over abundance of breakfast inventory, but we have stayed in similar hotels where they had nicer offerings. Instant oatmeal in the little envelopes and premade, microwavable breakfast sandwiches go a long way. If you are looking for a safe, comfortable, friendly place to lay your head, don't let the lackluster breakfast deter you. There's a BK right next door!

Not much of a breakfast

Very reasonable prices, owner is very nice. It’s a fairly quiet place to stay, I have stayed more than once at this hotel. I like the rooms with wood floors better than carpet and will ask for that next time I stay. There is a room with quite a few options for continental breakfast including toast, yogurt, cereals, muffins, juice, milk and coffee. It is right across the street from Los Corrales which is a very good restaurant for lunch or dinner.

The room we had this time seemed a little drafty, not too bad but it also had carpet. Other than that we were fine. Could be the room we stayed in last time was updated with the wood floors.

The rooms were cute and seemed very clean. The outside was also well-kept, with welcoming flowers and such. The staff was really nice. The breakfast was carb-heavy but good. It had the amenities most important to me: fridge, microwave, ice machine. There's also a washer and dryer for guests!

There were little things, like with all older motels--little annoyances with loud AC, quirky plumbing, etc, but nothing bad. It was a little pricey...but everything's getting ridiculously expensive.

This is our second time using KC Motel. Rooms are clean and staff was very friendly and accommodating. We called ahead to ask for ground floor and they were able to arrange that. The room we had this time was tiny, but it was enough for our needs. We requested a late check out and we appreciated that it was granted. Probably depends on the day you need it, but they were quick to allow it for us. They were quick to respond to any questions we had also.

Clean, very well kept rooms. They have obviously remodeled the rooms and made them very practical and nice. Even the wall outlets are placed easy to reach and have built in USB ports. The location is perfect, downtown and easy to reach pretty much anything you need. I’ll definitely stay at this family owned Motel again!

Nothing bad to say. Maybe add a few more selections in the breakfast room? But I had to nitpick to even complain about that!

The rooms, linens, etc are exceptionally clean. They show signs of wear, and signs of love. This is obviously a family establishment and they put a lot of love into their service and their guests. For some reason, guests from all over seem to congregate in the parking lot, drag about the benches and chairs, and sit around, chatting and drinking and having fun all evening, card games, shares, etc. Then about 2130 or 2200 things quiet down, everyone goes to bed. Wonderful and peaceful. You can see the stars and Milky Way (celestial and candy).

Nothing. Everything about the hotel was great. Breakfast selection was as expected. Plenty of coffee, Continental-American. Local entertainment was convenient, there are stores, restaurants, & bars within walking distance.

The rooms are very comfortable, the manager is very kind. We have stayed here twice, so we knew what to expect. Even though the rooms are smaller, for an overnight it was comfortable and we knew it would be clean.

The breakfast is very basic, we are okay with that when travelling. Don't expect pancakes or waffles, but they provide toast and muffins. There is juice but no fresh fruit.

Outside appearance is a drive-up budget motel. Inside appearance is a nice clean room with very comfortable beds, clean sheets and bathroom, quality tv service, & refrigerator. The room was a nice as any modern hotel with a hallway entrance but only 1/2 the price of those in the local area. Not sure when I will ever be in Show Low again, but I will definitely stay here again if my travels bring me on this route.

Great price for a clean, well-appointed room. Coffee maker, microwave, fridge, tv, table and two chairs plus a small breakfast selection.

There was a table and two chairs which was great, but they are too big for the room. Breakfast options were thin - just yogurt, bread for toast, corn flakes, fruit loops, orange juice and some packaged mini muffins and a glazed pastry. Coffee was better than most places though.

This is a great little old school style motel that reminded me of the kind of places we stayed as a kid crossing the US from NY to California. Quite charming with a mid century vibe. The owner was extremely friendly and asked me several times if everything was ok while apologizing for the noise of a concrete saw for improvements being made to a nearby patio. Very clean and comfortable. A very enjoyable, albeit short, stay.

Really nothing. I suppose the breakfast selection could have been more but it sufficed.
