We were pleasantly surprised about this place. Originally it wasn't our first choice, but we were very that we gave Embers a try and now we feel that we would definetly stay here again. Everything about the room was great the decor, the comfort real ceramic cups good free coffee. They even had wine glasses made of glass. Great for couples!

Not many places nearby for food but theres a Mexican restaurant almost next door. we didn't try it but we should have. the reviews were good. and I think there was a local beer tavern across the street to try local brews.

Excellent and affordable lodge for couple on a weekend getaway, excellent location,extremely clean & comfortable . Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff, entered our room it was warm and we had a personalize card made for our anniversary, it’s not fancy but it’s the thought that counts! Been going to Big Bear for 6 years twice each year go up for the snow go up for the summer. State three different places three different times very unhappy stayed with ember's three times always happy

Nothing to complain about always happy

It was very cozy and had a kitchen with a stove. Yes the fireplace gave off a strong scent, but I'm not averse to the smell of "embers".

As other guests have noted, it is very close to the main road, and you will most likely have to open a few windows at night. The really sad thing is the invasion of the Fast n Furious drag race posse. Not sure if they're just day tripping gutter punks from San Bernardino, but they don't go home after the sun goes down. They continue to turn our National Forests and recreational spaces into a ghetto. To avoid this crowd, I would recommend going on a Monday, and leaving by Wednesday. Although you'll probably still hear them at night.

I love the atmosphere of Big Bear and all the quaint little cabins all over the town Embers perfectly wraps it all together and it’s a wonderful experience for the price. it’s less than a mile outside of the main town and super close to everything you’d want to do in Big Bear.

Friendly staff, convenient location close to all attractions. comfortable king size bed, cozy and clean room. The room has microwave, mini fridge and kitchen area. Perfect for our weekend trip!

We are very happy with our stay. Very pleased. The only thing for me is the noise from the next room. I can hear talking and laughing. My husband fell asleep right way though.

We loved the amazing handcrafted paneling and huge stone fireplace dating from Hollywood usage decades ago. Especially since most everything else had more modern updating that was not done on the cheap.

They could have used some flowers in the outside boxes. The fireplace smell was strong but The windows opened easily to let fresh air in

Great location close to Big Bear village area. Next door is a great Mexican restaurant and a small brewery across the street.

Lovely place on the south shore of Big Bear Lake. The property is older, but well maintained, clean, and quaint. Having a kitchenette and stone fireplace in the room were excellent additions. Close proximity to Big Bear Village, Alpine Slide, and ski resort. Great value for the money, and would definitely not hesitate to go back!

Because of the in-room fireplace, everything had a perpetual smoky smell. This is obviously to be expected, but could be a deterrent to some guests if they do not intend to use the fireplace during their stay.
