Only thing I would change is the bottle water in the room. I couldn't stop laughing and shaking my head over the sign on the water. If you aren't a diamond, silver or golden member you have to pay for the water? REALLY . Hilarious. I'm pretty sure you can afford two bottles of water per room free of charge. Had some issues with the garage parking ticket. It should be explained that the ticket shouldn't be near your cell phone. Also the employee at the desk should make sure the when the guest is ready to depart the parking garage the parking ticket is properly stamped with Doubletree on it. Ours was not 😞

This hotel is exceptional. The rooms were clean, well stocked, loved the large lotion, shampoo, shower gel and conditioner hanging on the walls in the bathroom in good sized bottles. The pillows could use updating as they were pretty flat but we made do. If you don’t use valet parking, you have to park across the stree in a multi level parking lot with an elevator and cross bridge to the hotel. Love the security of having to use your room key to use the elevator in the hotel. There is a train track that runs very close to the hotel and the trainl runs all day and night and blows the horn pretty loudly, so if you are a light sleeper this may be an issue. It didn’t bother us. I have to say that although the hotel is exceptional, their biggest asset is their staff. They go above and beyond to help customers! I was extremely impressed by all of them, including valets, front desk, housekeeping and restaurant!

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel was clean, I believe it recently had a remodel. The valet attendants were friendly and helpful and very quick to bring the car. I appreciated the extra security of having to use your room key for the elevator. My room was clean, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. I had breakfast in the hotel restaurant. It was buffet style. The food was fresh, hot, and tasty. There was a good selection of options. I will definitely stay here again.

That the hotel lounge closed at 11 on Saturday night. We had been at an all-day event and just wanted to unwind at the hotel's lounge. The bartender did suggest a couple nearby bars.

The hotel is relatively new and located in downtown Modesto. From the hotel I walked to the Gallo Center for the Arts where I saw a concert by Rodrigo Y Gabriella, guitarists from Mexico City. I also saw them as I was getting out of the elevator and they were getting in. Parking was free, and the free breakfast was great. The bar was nice and the menu was interesting.

If you are wanting to visit Yosemite National Park, Merced would be a better place to stay.

Everything was lovely. I especially want to thank the person who checked us into the hotel. He was so kind, helpful, and went out of his way to make our stay a beautiful one. I don't remember his name, but he is from Fiji. He helped us go to our meeting on the 10th floor. He gave us a new key when we stayed an extra 1/2 day. He was so polite, helpful, sincere. We stayed here for State Cup Soccer tournament. Parking was easy and it was very close to great restaurants (Fuzio and Commonwealth was delicious!) We also noticed extra security patrolling the hotel. There are some homeless near the train station a couple blocks away and they had people near the door making sure guests were safe. Good hotel for pets too. Lots of grass around the hotel.

Our first room smelled of smoke and I called downstairs and they happily switched our room with no problem. We appreciated that.

Room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and attentive. The cookies are always a plus!

I didn't like that guest parking is across the street in a parking garage. I believe valet parking is $17 and self-parking across the street was $12. Might as well use valet parking if you are getting back later at night. There is some homeless presence in the area, but I felt safe nonetheless.

The breakfast buffet had a great variety. The dining area is very nicely kept and clean. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The bar area is great for dinner and was the perfect place to watch the football game. Room was clean.

The sliding bathroom door would not shut all the way. Other than that, everything was great!

The property centrally located, to the wedding venue so I was able to walk.

I was not aware that Amtrak train came through the night. Woke me up several times. First room I was put in the sink was disassembled underneath. They were very quick to relocate me once I reported the problem. I’m very friendly.

Someone came to my room saying that we ask for A plumber to check the if we have hot water problems We didn't ask for the service. When we opened the door he come right in glans the whole room like he was looking for something and left. We got scared. I called the front desk to check on him and let me know the findings, but no one got back to me.
