From the second we arrived. Everybody was polite and nice. They went out of the way to make us feel comfortable. Showed us to our room, and it was amazing. The view of the Marina and the mountains was amazing, Me and my wife celebrate our 10th anniversary. I would suggest anybody who likes a quiet place. That wants to have a leisurely good time. This is the place. The room was big clean, and the towels are bigger than any other place.i

They were remodeling, and we didn't get a chance to. Have breakfast there. Nor eat there, but it's okay. There are other places around the area to eat and look at for the value that can't beat it. It's amazing.

We booked a value rate at the last minute. I had sailed in to San Diego and found the docks where we reserved a slip had terrible facilities and no showers at all. We didn't get the best view - but I didn't expect that for a last-minute booking. The room was comfortable, the service was pleasant, the barkeep was friendly, and we were able to arrange dinner for the crew of two boats on very short notice. Overall, I was very pleased.

The bathtub drained slowly. We didn't report it during our stay (we were only there two nights), so we didn't have a chance to see whether they would have fixed that quickly or not. They did offer to do it the same day as we checked out.

This is a very relaxed and lovely place to stay. The location is superb. We enjoy the marina view.And the restaurant has excellent food at great prices. The staff is always friendly and welcoming.it feels like like home!

The facilities are a bit outdated, and the finishes are pretty worn. The floor in the bedroom is a bit slanted, and while I appreciate a microwave, putting it on the bathroom counter as well as the coffee maker makes the counter space quite limited. Plus you have to undo the plugs every time you want to use a different appliance or your hairdryer.

Loved the marina view! AND the ability to enjoy the view and sound of the evening concerts at Humphrey's, all from our balcony or the hot tub level of the hotel. Resturant food was delicious. Very friendly and helpful staff. I will be staying at The Bay Club Hotel & Marina for future trips.

The entry way could have used additional lighting. The balcony had 2 chairs but didn't have a little patio table (the adjacent room balconies did). Having an option for decaf coffee in the room would have been nice for those who don't/can't drink caffeine. Bath tub could have been cleaned a little better (there was hair lingering down from the bath tub faucet - nothing major but I did have to remove it myself prior to showering).

The rooms are always nice and ready when I go to check in, and the staff is always extremely nice. The pool/jacuzzi is always nice and clean. I am a single mom of three kids and I never get treated like I'm unwanted or looked down upon when I stay at this hotel. The hotel location is the best! It's very close to everything, sea world, San Diego zoo, the beach, and of course it's on shelter island. I also had a great experience at the restaurant in the hotel. Our server went out of his way and was very attentive and friendly. Although I am a single mom with three children I like to take them out on spring break and summer trips to San Diego. We have been to a lot of different hotels and this hotel has always stayed consistent. Clean, Quite, relaxing, beautiful, bay front location! Definitely recommend this hotel!

Summer (staff) was amazing! My daughter couldn’t find the specific vending machine so Summer took her to find it. Summer was very friendly and made sure I knew my daughter was going with her (my daughter is almost a teen). The rest of the staff was amazing too but Summer stuck out for me. There was a restaurant staff who knew my mom, was super friendly to her. Knew what she wanted and where to sit. I don’t know her name tho.

Nothing I really enjoyed our stay!

Bay Club meet our expectation and then some. We came for rest and relaxation, they delivered. Our View was spectaclar, sitting on our porch with a cup a tea (me) and coffee (my husband) was the best way to start our day, It gave us that calm and comforting feeling, it washed our stresses away. The owners should be proud of their staff, all helpful and pleasant, it started when we checked in and continued throughtout our stay, until we checked out. Food delicous especially the happy hour. Will we return to Bay Club...you bet!

This is what we didn't like....That it couldn't last longer. I would write a second sentence, but there wasn't any thing we didn't like,,, the only thing that would have improved our stay was that it was FREE.

Hotel was on the bay and faced the San Diego skyline. It was only 15 minutes drive to the Embarcadaro and harbor tours. It was only 15 minutes to Old Town as well. It was nice to be on the bay and see the water. The person that checked us in was very nice and another person helped us book our boat tour. The room was large and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting by the pool when the sun came out.

The tub plugged up each day with 1-2 inches of water. The shower mat had been sitting rolled up on the toilet and it was covered with something black when I unrolled it. The parking spaces seemed extremely close together. I have a small car but some SUVs parked so close that we almost couldn't get into the car. Parking was $18/day above the Booking.com prices.

It was clean, nice workers in a very nice area we could go for walks by the bay and look at all the boats it was wonderful I would stay there again.

The food was OK there.the jacuzzi broke, and it was the weekend, so they couldn't get anyone to work on it.i had to keep asking for decaf coffee they don't leave packages in the room but I guess that was OK at least they had some.

The room was clean and looked attractive, fresh. However, I requested early check-in 2 months ago, and the room wasn't ready until 3:55 p.m. Hardly an early check-in. Didn't realize my parking wasn't included in stay - $18, so check your amenities carefully, customers.

Alcohol and food service was slow. Since the room wasn't ready, we ordered cocktails on the patio and they arrived slowly, but a long wait for the appetizer. This server was very nice, though. At dinner, cocktails didn't arrive until we were nearly finished with our food. At least a 1/2 hour wait. Front desk didn't leave a great impression. I had to interrupt someone intent on work (I think a cash register) in the connected room after standing at the front desk with no one present. Cocktail/bar waitress was stressed when I asked how much longer it would take for our drinks to arrive. More attention was being paid to the very busy bar, than the restaurant customers.
