Nice hotel. The room is spacious, with 2 big beds. Lights and windows working fine. The bed is comfortable. The reception is open 24h, and there is free breakfast. The hotel is very central, near a pedestrian street full of bars and restaurants, and near a very big park.

Too few power outlets. The bathroom is too small. The shower is very hard to use, being at 160cm of height. The roof of the shower is 200cm tall, so there is plenty of space to install a regular height shower, but they didn't. There is no shower curtain. The breakfast is badly organised. The waiter only brings more food every 45 minutes, at that point many guests try to catch all the food at once. There are only ~8 little tables for more than ~60 rooms.

The location was great. Friendly staff.

I didn't like that I had to pay for parking at the property.

I really love the area, walk in the room it was clean and neat we didn't experience any noisy neighbors, nice and calming, relaxing environment, property it's self well maintained. Coffee provider the the office area. But I wasn't able to walk in for breakfast this morning but there's always next time. Oh well. I like the most was that they have installed body wash shampoo and conditioner. Then hand soap with lotion my setup. I really did enjoy myself and it was not what I expected it would be but it's pretty nice and decent and I recommend this location to anyone. I took myself and my boys but everything else it was fine.

What? I didn't like about the room. Is the AC had an order? Maybe you guys should check that out. Other than that everything was fine. Oh one more thing The little fridge I think it's not working cuz I put beverages in there and it wouldn't get cold. I don't know if it was disconnected or was connected but other than that not really. That's it. It's the AC, has an order and the refrigerator wasn't working or was probably just disconnected.

I'm giving this hotel an overall rating of 10 not because it's a luxury hotel, but because it was a very good overall deal (price/quality/location) and all the staff was very friendly. They don't have an airport shuttle, but it's just 3 miles from the airport so an uber or taxi is doesn't cost much. Other hotels in the area with an airport shuttle were much more expensive. I walked down to the waterfront (San Diego harbor) in about 20 minutes. Since I had time (and only a backpack for luggage) in the morning I also walked from the hotel to the airport to catch my flight. The second 2/3 of that walk is along a walking path that follows the waterfront.

Most of the hotel appears to Have been remodeled relatively recently. I had a room with two queen, beds and windows on both sides of the room which is really nice. One side faces the parking courtyard and the other faced eighth Avenue. Both sides had heavy curtains that could nearly entirely block out the long strong sunlight when needed. There was a nice mini fridge and microwave, Modern lamps on the nightstand and desk were very nice, and there’s an actual closet. There’s a really great coffee shop just across the street at the foot of the famous old El Cortez building. You could walk from here to just about anything downtown, even to the harbor, though it is a bit of a distance. Although there is a substantial fee for parking overnight, there is street parking available in the block all around the hotel, which is metered between 8 AM and 6 PM. The hotel was very nice to allow me to park for a few hours in the afternoon before I went out to dinner And then I was able to park on the street so I didn’t need to pay to park overnight

A few things were not yet updated And so take away from the overall impression, for example, the concrete walkways outside of the second floor rooms have a lot of paint peeling, the threshold between the carpeted living room and the tiled bathroom floor is old, the chair has black faux leather Cover peeling off. But these were not substantive issues and did not in any way to tract from the overall quality of the hotel or my enjoyment of the stay.

Room was big for the price. Looked like maybe it was recently renovated. Room was nice and dark in the morning. Location was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. I read the beds were uncomfortable but that was not the case with the king room.

The bathtub didn't drain. I pulled long black hairs out of the drain and it was still clogged. The hotel responded with maintenance. The fridge was missing a leg. Parking was $20.

The location is excellent close to everything. The staff are very friendly and offer help. The rooms are of decent size and have a microwave, which comes very handy for most of our needs.

Hotel parking is mostly full and the extra parking is challenging to reach. The breakfast lacks major protein such as egg, a boiled egg wouldn't cost much but makes a difference.

The location is really good. It only takes few minutes to drive to many famous landmarks. The staff who served the breakfast in the restaurant is so sweet and kind. When we wanna refill the bottle, she is always smiling and willing to assist us. We would like to stay here again when we visit San Diego next time.

We still can hear some noises when other guests come back late at night.

Close to where I needed to be

Not up to baymont standards in my opinion. Breakfast was very short on supplies. When they ran out they didn’t have anymore to replace. One day they had lots of cream cheese but no bagels, the next day they had lots of bagels and no cream cheese. Didn’t say that we had to pay for parking even though we had a handicap sticker, $19 per night.

The location and the room was exceptionally spacious and comfortable.

The remote for the TV didn't work. I had to press the buttons on the TV to turn on and off, change channels and volume. It was an inconvience, but managable.
