I liked that it was located pretty close to the Zoo, which is where we went. Also, the breakfasts were awesome. Definitely a reason we will go back. The staff was great too and the fact that they have on property parking makes it a huge plus.

I would say the beds were pretty hard, most hotels you can expect that. Also, our room wasn’t ventilated well. The windows kept fogging up. And maybe some fresher towels. The ones we had looked pretty old and they might have needed to be replaced.

Well the location was close to my expectations but, I had no idea as to what the area would look like do to never haven been in the area. The breakfast was great for what they had to prepare with. The Staff were friendly and accommodating. The roof top terrace was a added bonus.

Homeless were in the area. Not just a little but a lot. I know you have no control over that but it would have been nicer had they not been in the area. The security (you just walk up to the doors) did not give me good vibes. I would have received a warm and fuzzy if you had to use a key card to get in the building. Maybe even a front desk/lobby area.

Great location, particularly to Gaslamp area and Petco. Breakfast very good.

Everything was great for us. Our friends with us had the smoke detector battery start to go out about 11 pm. Someone came up and removed the dying battery. Only issue was that the person said they would come back up with replacement. Our friends waited but no one came back. They finally called down and were told it would be replaced the next day. They should have been told this to begin with so they didn’t wait up for someone to come back up and didn’t have to call back down to the desk.

I am a lawyer making an appearance in the court of appeal. I booked the hotel because it was 2 blocks away so I could walk. The room was clean and I was upgraded to a king size bed. The breakfast had a good selection of hot items and cold cereal and good coffee. The only change I would make is putting a light over the desk. It was fairly dark to work there at night.

I really liked the look of the building, the exterior. It looks so welcoming and cosy. The breakfast is good, with a wide range of choices. The location was very convenient because my relatives were in a hotel two blocks away. This made it easy for us to meet, etc.

There was building work going on so on two days we were woken up in the morning on 2 occasions. Also when we had breakfast there was nowhere to sit to eat it

Great breakfast. Room was clean. I found the room to be quiet but I'll note I had the A/C on, which also would have blocked out any potential noise. Mattress was comfortable and shower was decent.

I found the type of pillows they use to not be very comfortable. They use disposable plates, cups, and cutlery for breakfast, which is terribly polluting.

Tasty breakfast, generous portions and good attention by the staff. Varied breakfast alternatives. The WiFi worked great, although when we checked out we suddenly got disconnected and had to connect to a different network while sitting in the reception waiting for the taxi. There was a very helpful guy at the reception, who helped us to get a taxi, because our Uber application didn't work.

Very small breakfast room, with only two tables inside. However, you have the option to take the breakfast to the room or to sit outside where there are two other tables, if the weather is good enough.

It is a small buy very cute hotel. lots of light in the bathroom, good water pressure and the staff was very attentive.

Leaving the window of the bathroom open after room cleaning, invited many mosquitoes in...

My room at the Cabrillo Garden Inn was one of the cleanest, most well-kept rooms I have ever experienced. It was in a favorable location for my travel purposes. I was able to get ride share service very quickly there. Also, the bed was extremely comfortable and I really appreciated that.

The room heater fan is noisy. I had to work for that one as I don't have thing to complain about.
