Nice enough property. Amenities seem newer.

Bed was uncomfortable and the beach was a lot further away than we thought it would be. Only 1 ice maker on the ground floor. It’s advertised that the beach is only 950 feet away so I paid for a balcony room to have a very nice view of the street and the other hotels and the apartments that block the beach 😂 when we tried to walk to the beach, we were told we would have to go down at least 8 blocks before there was an access point.

We had a lovely room with extra separate bedroom with good sized balcony. Only 2 chairs though for 4 people. Great to have a fridge in the room to keep our drinks cool. Comfortable, large beds. Good size, modern bathroom. Would have liked coffee making facilities in the room rather than having to go to the lobby, but only minor issue. Good parking even for big cars. Near the beach. Great coffee shops and artisan bakeries and eateries close by. Quiet neighbourhood. Not in the airport flight path. Felt very safe! Would be very happy to come back! Thanks

The rooms were well appointed, large, modern and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute drive from La Jolla, but it was very quiet and having free onsite parking was great. There are some great restaurants and coffee shops within easy walking distance. There are also some beautiful ocean views just a few easy block away. We loved buying amazing baked goods at Wayfare Bakery and coffee at Bird Rock Coffee Roasters and then walking to the benches that overlook the beach and enjoying our food and the spectacular view.

Loved the location and proximity to the beach. (About a 6 min drive to mission beach) The beds were extremely comfortable,and the A/C worked beautifully. Kept this Colorado native nice and cool! The black out shades span the entire room and keep all the light out, so going to bed early is a breeze!

I didn’t love how small the bathroom is, or that the sink/toilet/shower are all in one little room. I also didn’t love that the only trash can in the room was in the bathroom, though it was a massive trash can which I appreciated. It wouldn’t deter us from staying here again, just something to consider if there are more than two of you in the room. For our family of four it was a bit cramped, but it was beautiful and clean and we made it work.

Everything inside is clean and recently renovated.

Give me a break not offering any way to make coffee before 8 (which is instant).

I loved the location of the hotel, we were a really close walk to see the ocean and beautiful views. I loved how close we were to a cvs. Everything was super clean, updated and new in the hotel and hotel room. I loved eating dinner on our balcony every night, the balcony was really nice! The fridge in the room actually made our things cold, most hotel fridges don’t work so well so that was a bonus. The room was perfect, it had a lot of space for storage. The staff was super nice and the check in and check out process was super easy.

I didn’t like that the pillows were really uncomfortable, I’m not a huge fan of feather pillows so if that’s not your thing bring your own pillow. That was the only thing that I didn’t like, other than that my fiancé and I had a wonderful stay and would come back again! :)

No breakfast...just coffee and tea available. Staff was very nice. Parking was tricky because of the size of our vehicle - we had a 12 person van - but we got parked each time. We were in town for a wedding with a big group traveling with us, and we had just a few minutes ride to the wedding venue.

Parking is tricky. Spaces just off the street and narrow if you have a big vehicle - this is just something to think about if you have more than a standard car or pickup. Access coming into motel is from a traffic circle right on the corner, and it's tricky to enter if you don't recognize the motel immediately.

The room and bed were very comfortable and well equipped, loved my little balcony where I enjoyed some meals I carried out. I could walk to the beach, CVS, grocery, and most any other places I needed to go plus a bus route. The swimming pool was warm and lovely. Denise at the front desk was THE BEST with her outstanding customer service. When I couldn't get a Lyft or Uber for a time sensitive event, she suggested and got me a Yellow Cab which got me there on time. She also gave me great restaurant recommendations. She is a true gem!!!

Unfortunately the people in the room above me were 6:00am risers and I was awakened by their walking around, and other noises they made, so my ceiling was pretty thin. That was my only negative, all else great.

This is the fourth time we have stayed at this property. The staff is nice and helpful and the rooms are clean, bright. and comfortable. The location is good on the quieter side of La Jolla. The Wayfarer Bakery is nearby along with some other cafes. The coast is nearby so it was easy to walk a few blocks to see the sunset over the ocean.

This time around the pool heater was broken so the pool was not heated. Since we had gray, cool days during our stay, we were not able to take advantage of pool to swim which was disappointing.

I really liked the location with easy walkability to restaurants, coffee shops, etc as well as to beautiful beach vistas. The room and property were very clean and tidy. LOVED having an outdoor balcony - definitely one of the best features to have an extra place to sit and also to let in fresh air through the sliding door. Lots of modern features in the room and the shower was super. Also really appreciated the free parking.

Biggest bummer was there was only one nightstand and reading light on one side of the king bed. Very strange to not have two. My husband and I had to arm wrestle over who got it (I lost). There is also a lot of street noise, as it is right on a main road. But, it did quiet down a lot at night.
