My son and I visited Estes Park and stayed at Saddle and Surry Motel. It was perfect for our needs. What we got was an affordable clean room with two comfortable queen beds, climate control, shower, microwave, mini fridge, breakfast, and very kind staff. What worked best for me was that the entire motel is single story, and you park right next to your door. I also found that they were very tobacco smoker friendly. It was easy and acceptable to go outside to smoke tobacco. Of course, one should always be very careful of fire hazards and never leave butts or other trash laying around. I felt that the place had a very cool "1970's" vibe. I highly recommend this motel and will be back. By the way, mid-September to mid-October the elk will be a very common sight all around where you are staying even in town!

Staying here was a great way to end our roadtrip through the Rockies. I hadn't expected a whole lot, but was pleasantly surprised by our spacious room and kitchenette. The bathroom was beautifully renovated with antifog mirror and luxurious overhead shower. There was little to no road noise that could be heard from our room. Overall a very comfortable place to stay while visiting the national park. Would definitely stay here again!

If I had to find a complaint, it would be that the trashcan along the sidewalk was knocked over at some point and remained that way for several hours before being addressed. I'm sure it was due to wildlife, which is understandable. i really have nothing else to critique about this place.

The room was exceptionally clean, and the bed was so comfortable. Although the furnishings were rather outdated, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and we liked the location a lot. We were there to get in some hiking at RMNP, and it suited our needs perfectly!

I found myself wishing there had been a tabletop or standing lamp in the room. There was a very bright and very large overhead fixture (really only good for task lighting), and there were two wall sconce lamps, which could not be turned up to bright or they flickered. Shower was a bit dark and cramped.

Spacious and spotless room, comfortable beds, kind staff, parking right outside our door, hot tub/pool available, cute rustic theme throughout, nice ice machine, light continental breakfast and coffee provided at 7:30am and lowest somewhat reasonable price during the summer tourist season in Estes Park. Would recommend for people who are on a budget!

Room was a bit dark at night since carpet and furniture was so dark and also due to bedroom lighting not being very bright. It seems an animal got to an uncovered outdoor garbage bin a few doors down overnight. I picked it all up as it was unsightly for the guests and I didn’t want it to blow around and litter the parking lot.

Stayed for 3 nights while visiting RMNP. Great price and the rooms are so quaint. Bed is comfy and you get an extra blanket and comforter. Room comes with Roku TV, WiFi (actually works), mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot. Bathroom is on the smaller side but for 2 people it works fine. Sonia our housekeeper did a GREAT job as well as the ladies up front. Very hospitable and pleasant. Highly recommend if you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the town center, yet not too far.

Great value for Estes Park!

A/C didn't work, but it was cool enough outside that it was barely a problem. Coffee was undrinkable, but we had a microwave and could make instant in our room. The price was right, the motel was safe, and the bed was large and comfortable. It was a nice touch that housekeeping made up our room each day.

The location was great- about 10 minutes from RMNP entrance and about 5 min from the Estes Park Visitor Center. Restaurants and gas stations right down the street. The room had a big TV, mini fridge and coffee maker, dresser, desk, loveseat, and a comfortable bed. Bathroom was a little tight, but shower was good, and there was a hair dryer. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our 3 night stay here!

This is a decent little motel with exceptionally nice people. It's simple, clean, and safe. You can get a basic coffee and pastry breakfast in the office. The bed was comfy and there was a pull-out and a small table with chairs in our room as well -- in addition to the fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. It's not fancy. It's a motel where you can park in front of the door to your room. Again, really nice people running the place and just a 5-min or so drive from downtown Estes Park. Just far enough from downtown that you are not dealing with the awful traffic that is there.

Nothing they can do about the fact that you are fairly close to a road so there is some road noise. However, turning on the fan in the ac/heat unit completely blocks it out.

Friendly and helpful staff at the reception. Spacious and clean rooms with comfortable beds. We as a family, really liked all the facilities given. A continental breakfast was available with pastries, cereal, and a variety of hot drinks. Only 5-6 miles from this location to Beaver Meadows entrance and it's only a 15-20 minute drive. That was AWSOME!! Recommends for a family stay.
