We loved staying here!! It was easy to get to, the building itself is so cute and welcoming. Our room was cute, clean, comfortable and inviting. We stayed in room 201 and got to enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains from our balcony. I can’t remember her name, but we loved the woman working at the front desk. She was very sweet and friendly and her sense of humor was wonderful. She also offered us fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. We didn’t have breakfast but they did let us know about the breakfast option which i thought was super cool. We loved staying here and definitely will be coming back next time we come to visit.

We loved how close it is to town and the mountains surrounding the property are beautiful. It is off Main Street two blocks so very quiet. The breakfast place is like home and they even have board games. The breakfast is homemade as well as the cookies in the afternoon with wine. The staff are delightful and accommodating. We felt right at home and our room was clean with more than enough pillows and towels. Charles and his wife Mary make it feel like home. We will definitely go back as we love Ouray for climbing and hiking and the pure beauty and friendliness of the place.

Loved our stay here. The woman at reception was super friendly and welcoming. We had some great chats throughout our stay. When we arrived, we had booked a room that you needed to entire via the back alley. But because of how muddy it it was back there and the recent bear activity she moved our room, free of charge, to the second floor. Complementary wine and homemade cookies were great. Lots of fun playing board games and having a drink while it snowed. Room was comfortable and very clean. Also very close to the Main Street.

The breakfast was fantastic both mornings and the location was probably the best in all Ouray. A happy hour with cookies and wine is provided every day from 4 To 6. The property has outside seating in a small park like area and there are benches just outside the room. The managers were friendly and when asked about providing a cot, they immediately responded by providing an inflatable mattress. The location is convenient to everything within walking distance. We visited the Hot Springs a few times both days and local restaurants and shops are all right there.

I can’t think of anything

The location was just a block off the main street, so walking distance to everything. It was small so not many people which was nice. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were decent for the price and size of establishment. We would definitely stay here again.

The people staying in the room next to us were loud and disruptive. They would show up to their room every night between 12:30am-1:00am they made so much noise that sounded like bumping into the wall and repetitively opened and closed their front door. They talked so loud we could hear them like we were sitting in the room with them. They wouldn’t get quiet till about 3:00am so that was super annoying and didn’t help that it was a foreign language, but that’s our only major complaint.

The air conditioning didn't work very well

I stayed a week in February and the wifi speed was great for working remotely. The location was super convenient to get to the restaurants, bars, grocery store, liquor store, and main ice climbing companies in town. The staff was really helpful with any small things that I needed.

The mini-fridge was slightly too cold and didn't have any knob to adjust the temperature. My tub of hummus and cans of sparkling water came out icy but luckily my beer was fine.

Retro motel tucked away on a side street. Walkable to anywhere in Ouray. The rooms are super clean and beds are comfortable! The common area is a great spot to have coffee and meet fellow guests. Pretty grounds and convenient parking. Friendliest innkeepers around!

Thin walls are common in older motels so be prepared. It’s not a dealbreaker really. You’re in Ouray to get out and explore, not hole up in a hotel room. Guests who stay here are respectful so it’s not a “noisy” crowd.

Very pleased with our accommodations. We had a king room on upper level. Bed was very comfortable, and room was very clean. No chair or table in room so you sat on bed to watch TV, but nice park bench outside your room to enjoy the fantastic views. From the location you can walk to everywhere in town. We stayed two nights.

No room for chair or small dining table in room. It did have a small bench, but used it to sit luggage on.

This little hotel was located within walking distance of everything in the town. And the Mountain View’s were spectacular. The hotel was clean.

There were no curtains or blinds over the window in the bathroom and there were windows of homes right near us that could see in with no problem. Also no elevator so if you are on the second floor, you will have to carry all of your luggage up and down stairs.
